My favorite Go app. Especially how the board can be designed (colors, color of stones, night mode) an how to select where to play.
This app is great but how can I import problems (include both free & paid ones) from the "Tsumego Pro" app of your studio to play in challenge mode
Decent, but overpriced. Several of the limited tsumego library entries will mark some correct solutions as incorrect.
Ability to upload your own problems is an awesome feature! Thanks...
messy placement detection makes playing online a horrendous experience, not worth the money
Great app to play and practice on. Good database for games to review
Smart and intuitive
Love this game and this app lets me play anywhere anytime!
Tsumego and Challenge are just awful. There are not enough problems and I haven't been able to find a single source of sgf problems that work with the app. I wasted my money.
The main menu works in landscape, but the board (playing) doesn't..? Would expect this to be an easy thing to be supported - also a good feature, given the number of big phones / tablets people have these days!
Please add sound when replaying games for study. Cheers!
I love this program! It is great during commuting to work or in my spare time :) The only comment that I have is that I can't save the games on my Nexus5X on SD. Can you make it so I can save the game on the phone storage?
I can't figure out how to import SGF files if I don't have an SD card. Emailed developer but got no response.
Very nice app, clean interface, tsumego and offline review works great! I would wish for tsumego updates more often, after all once you played 'em through you know 'em all. Also, it would be nice if you could import multiple tsumego problems with one sgf file as they are normally provided like this by the big tsumego databases. Otherwise awesome app. Keep it up!
I'm not sure that there's a better Go app out there for Android, and I enjoy playing on it, but ElyGo does have issues: a rather weak AI (the dev had published a free beta of a Pachi implementation, but that was never added here and the beta no longer works with Android 5.x), a lack of functionality around saved games (no cloud storage integration, issues with AI resumption and branching, lack of filtered search), shaky tablet support (no in-game landscape orientation), and a tendency to end games without auto-saving them if you switch apps. Buying it gets you a polished (portrait-orientation) interface and a nice game library, but as it's been over a year since the last update, I'm not optimistic that the aforementioned issues will be fixed...
Beautiful interface and a solid app. The tsumego set is quite nice as well. However, the app makes it impossible for me to download SGF game records on my phone. It attempts to open the file in-app and fails because it doesn't support network files.
It took several years but Android now finally has a decent go app worth paying for.
Probably the most well rounded go app I've used. The tsumego and pro game functions are awesome!
It would be nice if add some feature on invitation/recieve menu on igs.. editing would also more fun if there's something like markup letters etc... plus the date of database pro games...
Great Go program. Would get a 5 star if ability to edit was added
Really well designed and smooth app. I only wish changing branches when reviewing games would be easier than having to backtrack to the branch point move. Also how can we play on smaller boards on IGS?
An "Oh my god" moment! You cannot get the ai to play from saved games!! Will only recognise current game. .(...please, can't be true. ...check. ..check again.... Nope. Option does not exist). Also shame about only being able to play on 19 size board in igs online play mode... Only rated games too. Oh Well, some of us have better things to do ....and better places to play go. Disappointed. By the way, it seems the people who created this app don't care. No effort made to fix these humongous errors.
Like this app the most. Give it a try if you like GO.
This app is currently the only competitor of Smartgo on android. I use it with the go4go database (45506 recent pro games). It works, but it's far from being ideal. Among other things, I wish we could sort games by dates, have thumbnails for each game, have the possibility to automatically alternate colors in pattern search, and have a "guess the next move" option.
Why is there no option to resign a game? Would rate higher if this was included.
Fantastic go/weiqi app, has immense library of historic go games for review as well as tsumego and timed challenge mode. So much great stuff for go study on the phone
