This is the worst update I have ever experienced with an app. I used to use it multiple times a week to check showtimes, what was up-and-coming, my options for the next several days, etc. With the new update it is so anti user friendly, you have to turn on GPS to be able to use it which is not always practical if you have a low battery. And you can't view upcoming days you have to view upcoming showtimes for one movie at a time. I won't use the app anymore, maybe not the theater either.
The app does not allow me to log in. When inputting my information, it gives me a message saying "Connect Lost". I'm connected to wifi and my other apps that use wifi aren't having connection issues. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still gives me the same result even after clearing my phones cache.
Update: Changing from 2 to 1 stars because the app doesn't even work now. Not the greatest app. It is super super slow. Scrolling through the dates for movie show times hardly ever load. Definitely needs some improvements. I do like that your loyalty card is attached to the app.
When you are requested to fill in a blank, it covers up the information for the next question so you can't see what they are asking you. I had to redo it twice, and then at the very last item, it wouldn't finalize on the purchase. It finally just timed out and wouldn't work. Use the website instead!!!!!!!!
This app is completely broke. Constant connection lost. The company should be notified and forced to take it down. It's useless in it's current form and hasn't been updated in 2 years.
App does not accept Emagine gift cards as payment. Scrolling through dates to buy tickets ahead of time is PAINFUL. You have to move one day at a time and every so often the date area shifts up or down when movie or theater info loads. You end up accidentally tapping on the wrong thing several times then having to start over or either it takes forever waiting for every day to load completely so you don't make accidental taps.
This app USED TO BE great! Pre-pandemic it functioned brilliantly. Now that things are beginning to open up again and I'm looking to venture out to the movies it seems to be completely broken. Would normally have given it 4 stars but in its current state it is useless. I hope they can address this soon.
Everything was working fine, then in the past week or so I was unable to get into to app. I got as far as select a state, but no states even showed up to select. I'm super frustrated as I have points from my membership that seem to be lost.
I used to be able to buy tickets via the app on my Samsung wi-fi tablet running Android 9 (with a large 10" screen). Now I'm unable to anymore (It's been removed from the Play store for my tablet). It seems to only work on my cell phone. This seems to be a recent change in November 2019.
I can't order tickets because nothing on the app loads completely and I'm on a strong WiFi. I select the theathre I want but the showtimes don't load so I can't buy any tickets. I know I can just use Atom but I can't use my rewards card with them. I paid for the membership of Emagine Extras, it'd be nice to be able to use it. How such a huge company has such a bad app is beyond me. Edit: The app has been redone and I don't have any problems with it now! Thank you for redoing the app!
Can't review lower but should be able to since the app does not work at all.. As other users describe continues to say lost connection instead of functioning. Just tried uninstall, reinstall... same story. Unistalling until I get an email saying app is fixed.
Hate the update, looks nicer but that ends the positivity. Can't look at dates for movies, no search for movies can't find huge movies about to release just scroll through pages of same useless events that aren't even playing.
Increased rating to 5 stars after most recent update. Very happy that I'm now able to view all showtimes for future dates without having to individually look at movies. Newer interface is fairly user friendly; maybe just make it obvious that there is a limit to the number of favorite theaters allowed.
App hasn't worked at all since they upgraded/changed it. Unable to buy tickets online. App freezes after selecting seats, won't continue. Now it asks to select all tickets after choosing seats. Had to buy tickets at the theater and then their damn ticket kiosk wouldn't work properly.
Web developer's seem to be on a permanent vacation. Perhaps the franchise is unable to afford bringing in someone capable of providing a user friendly interface for rewards members. I would even get a little thrill if they could make the app appear appealing. This app is a joke and to be frank I'm tempted contact the BBB. on top of the sky high prices to see a movie I seemingly pay for a useless extras membership. I am disgusted to say the least.
used to use this app and it worked great. but recently can't log in anymore or recover password. tried going in as guest and can't even do that. not a internet problem as we have excellent internet. app is totally useless now.
never seems to work for the rewards, I got a new phone and entered my login info. it says, "invalid". I'm trying to reset the password and it keeps saying the reset stuff timed out. I'm annoyed with this app.
Signed up years ago and forgot password. No option to retrieve it. Tried making a new account. Birth years don't go past 1970. Won't make a new account but won't tell why. And why can't I make a particular cinema my "home" cinema? Why do I have to search for it every time? Very frustrating app
Buy tickets online on pc, sign into app and ticket info not there. Close app, sign in on a pc again and ticket info there. Not sure if it is because tickets are future dates, but pc gives upcoming ticket info as well as history but mobile site won't allow sign in to account. This app seems really limited and missing some basic function as what other posts have said... not even any replies to complaints. I like their theaters here in my state, but maybe they need better nerds working their tech.
Stop requiring GPS to get in the app. If a user only wants access to tickets or already have theaters added to favorites, why is there a need for GPS. AND DEFINITELY DONT NEED TO FORCE WIFI SCANNING. Even Google maps will without wifi-scanning
The app doesn't work. Last week I bought two sets of tickets. Get to the theater yesterday and the app doesn't work. Was told I had to Uninstall and then re-install and it still didn't work. An app is for convenience. This needs to be corrected
Keeps saying connection lost. My phone has 4 bars. Signed out, can't get back in. Uninstalled, reinstalled still doesn't work. Had to go to the website to log in, had no problems there.
I used to love this app...but now it never seems to work. Keep getting a message of "connection lost". I even tried to uninstall, and re-download the app. Now I can't even log back in because it says "Connection lost". Very frustrating. Don't know what you guys changed on the app, but I hope you fix it because otherwise it's useless
