The app works good, I use it to find depth information in spots I know I already want to go. I use it just for that. But although the app is rich with symbols, there is no key to tell what they are. It would be extremely helpful to have a Key that shows what each symbol means and when I click or zoom in on a symbol, I'd like some description to reveal what it means. This for me would make this a 3-star app to a 6-star app.
Map start point is hundreds of miles away from home port. Feedback gives errors when trying to contact C-Map to inform them. Frustrating beyond words. Other than that extremely annoying bug I like it.
Really good app, as a seaman I can tell that charts are like professional commercial ECDIS charts. But: There is no coverege for many important areas like Singapore strait and other places. AIS is not working properly, showing some vessels, maybe 5 percent of all vessels which shoukd be visible in thia area. WHY: When I use online map pn PC on c-map web page charts are visible, when I use my phone are not???
Hi love the graphics and the concept spent lots of money on three different regions and unfortunately unable to use the app the majority of the time due to constantly crashing or freezing and also failing to upload my offline charts. I understand development needs to be done however I suggest you either drop your prices or trial as a free service until you have sorted these problems. I no longer rely on this app as it is now a danger to me for navigation and have gone back to using opencpn.
Its affordable comparing to the price. The map is correct and updated. The only thing ,i can not detect the AIS targets.
Currently subscribe, app on Samsung Note 20 Ultra. Have never (NEVER) been able to successfully download & use offline maps. Typ freezes after 2-50% downloaded. Also crashes a lot. App is good enough otherwise, but Nav app that needs cell connection is at best of limited use, at worst, dangerous. After spending hours on this, i just cancelled my subscription renewal.
Very good tool that shows maritime charts / data around the world for free. Will assist in considering sailing destinations before buying the complete tool.
Cannot log in just comes up with website unavailable. I have now tried with new email address and now to change password been trying to get your password reset email gor 2 days. Very disappointed. There is only one app of yours on the device!
Worked awesome the first trip. Have it installed on a tablet. Now it won't open anymore and gives an error that says authentication error error is not specified.
Went offshore, app decided it was time to login to the internet, useless. And yea, I paid for Premium (response to comment) I had it active before going offshore and I also downloaded offline maps for the area. So no, your comment doesn't not apply, I HAD premium
Plotting was a bit of a challenge. App would keep closing on me without saving route. But eventually i got it to work
After latest update, I can not automatic plan a route naming departure port and destiny port. Now I have to open the map, zoom the area I want to departure, and press the starting point.... Same for the destination. Planning a route it's much more difficult and manual now. I liked the previous version better
the chart is good but in my huawei matepad pro the GPS is laging once on navigation, for more perfect please add Waypoint label in the route and eta also manual edit GPS position on saved route, head up display, course up display and Noth up display
Since the last update keeps crashing when manual routing, and for some reason none of the layers seems to be working... I have purchased a yearly subscription I must say I'm not happy. Please sort out the app!
Does not connect. Says can not connect to camp. Have no idea how good or bad it may be. Tried mine and my wife's email address but couldn't connect to camp says check service connection. On cellular and wifi same message.
Last update made app more unstable. Crashes repeatedly.

This app is brilliant! I use it for all my weather forecasting and navigation. It has not let me down
I've had this since yesterday, so a review is kind of silly in a way. However looking this over, trying stuff out like planning routes and examining complex coastlines has been astonishingly easy and intuitive. I have this running on my phone and my tablet, it's easy to see, and easy to use on both. I've tried a lot of other navigation tools on both devices and this is by far the best I've seen yet.
This app is useless for offline work. Map downloads are waaaayyyyyy too slow. Have tried twice now (including recommended uninstall/reinstall). Didn’t help. Trying to get three maps downloaded, left running for days. Only one made it to double-digit percentage completed. Ridiculous. Another issue. The maps don't display the names of the island countries. It only shows city names on the island. Doesn't matter how much you drill down you never see the name of the island country.
I love this app and I haven't even used it on the water yet! It continues to surprise me with its many functions. Easy to use to plan trips. Plus, I love the weather (wave, wind) info you can get for not only where you are but where you're going. Honestly, I can't think of anything I don't like. While I have a chartplotter on board, I'm a big fan of redundance so having this app on my phone is helpful. Will update review if it changes once I get on the water.
Subscription service offer zero value. While I really like the charts. Having them always online makes the app performance very dependent on cmaps hosting service. - and it's poor. With the paid subscription service we are able to download maps. But... it's near impossible with their extremely slow hosting. It took me 6 days to down load one set of charts. Once downloaded you still need a active internet connection for the saved charts to correctly load. Avoid for a while.
When it works it's great. However, many times it has crashed on me at the lake leaving me on the lake or the ramp with no navigation or depth info. Even though I paid for the full version and downloaded the offline maps. Waste of $30. Tried a fresh install of the app. Now it won't boot up at all. I would gladly contact you over the help section of the app but after reinstalling it I can no longer open the app.
Chart looks nice and i gave five stars for it. Started to actually use it and found immediately a technical problem. Cannot move waypoint in a (auto route) route. I gave two stars. Thank you for the updated comment. However, it should be possible to correct also an automatically run routing after having saved it. Those often need improvements. One wants optimize. It cannot be done on my Android tablet. Manual route editing works great!
Update: I uninstalled, after almost 2 years it is still not possible to show depth in meter while distance in nautical miles. Original comment: Very useful and reliable app, simple to use, and it has logical interface. Even the free version is working fine, until you have Internet connection. My only idea for improvement is, to make it possible to set different unit as depth and distance. E.g. use meter as depth unit, but meanwhile feet/nm as distance. In Europe most of us would use this combo.
Ist install - couldn't find a way to add waypoints/marks by co-ordinate. Request for help took several weeks to get a response. After info. provided installed again. Yes you can add waypoints by co-ordinate, in a very laborious roundabout way. But no, you can't edit more than the name. If you need to alter co-ordinates you have to delete way point and start all over again. Waypoints can only be deleted one at a time, and several steps needed each time. Then app became snail slow in responding and seemed to stop reacting to screen taps. Before downloading I had the standard warning that the app may not be optimised for my device (I'm running a galaxy tab A 8 (2019) with android 9 - so may be it is too advanced for the app, but it's too clunky and glitchy for me.) Pity - it looked to have nice features.
I paid for the premium, downloaded the charts I needed to cross the Atlantic and was extremely disappointed. The app had so many errors I can't begin to list them all. I was only trying to use it as a back up, but it is even worthless as a backup. It is totally unreliable off shore.
