Embr Wave

The ultimate in install-and-use. This was so easy that I had no confusion, concerns, questions at all. It connected via Bluetooth to my device immediately (usually Bluetooth is a pain). I just got to enjoy exploring the options and getting even more out of my Embr Wave. In a world of poorly-designed apps, this one is a winner. Nice job, guys!

I have had very positive experiences since using my embr wave. It definitely helps reduce my hot flashes if I catch it on the onset. If I start it too late, it is better than if I wasnt using the device at all. I only gave 4 stars because if you dont sync with the app on a regular basis, it doesn't stay as cool as I would like. I also am not happy about the heat that radiates after the cooling cycle.

the concept is good however the execution is not. in the middle of a cooling cycle my wristband gets hot and not just a little hot- very hot. The way you must wear the unit, it gets knocked on everything , the grooves in the surface picks up all kinds of dirt or anything on a surface. The band is too wide and the magnetic closure doesnt work well. When it works correctly, it does what it says. But it is not worth $250 as is. Wait for the 3rd or 4th generation.

Wonderful piece of technology. I am in my early 30's and have hot flashes for no apparent reason. I've gone to the doctors to try to get help and no one can figure it out. The Ember Wave has made it so that I am comfortable throughout the day. Yesterday my Eumber Wave started blinking purple and then orange (maybe standby). I checked that it was updated in Google play. It is not working if I press either of the side buttons. I don't know what to do.

I actually heard about this device on the Blaze radio station during their segment on new businesses. I was very excited to get it but I waited a bit just to see how it did. Maybe I was a little skeptical 😏. I bought it almost a month ago and I love it. As a woman going through the change, the hot flashes were killing me. This device helps if I catch them early. If at all possible it would be great if the temperature could go down just a little more. But overall, great device, great app!

Love the device. But you just pushed a firmware update that failed. It unpaired my device. And the device is stuck with a pink light and I cant turn it off. And yes, the phone and the device were next to each other during the update. If you cant fix this today, I've got to send it back. It's way too expensive to fail on Day 2.

The Embr Wave alone has helped shorten my hot flashes, allowing them to be tolerable. But with this app I've been able to fine tune the cooling by adjusting the wave length, duration, and degree sensation. The analysis feature has also given me a great tracking tool to provide my doctor an estimate of how many hot flashes I've had in a day.

The app is ok, needs more work, One bad experience I had so far was when I turned the heat on using the app for the first time of the day, the heat was too high it was burning my skin, so when I was about to tune it down (reduce the heat) the syncing prompt came on, making the app unresponsive until the syncing was done, during that time which probably lasted like 10 secs, the wristband was burning my skin, and because I was wearing a thick jacket I couldn't reach the wristband buttons.

I was skeptical at first, however the Embr Wave has been a game changer for me. I use the cool setting for my hot flushes. Thanks to the device they are less intensive temperature wise and occur less often. The app is very useful for changing the length and amount of cooling.

I'm finally warmer! Even though everyone I told about this was skeptical, I gave it a shot and am really glad I did. I didn't download the app initially so at first I tried it only using the directions in the box. I was a little disappointed by the temperature only going up/down by 5°. It wasn't until I went online to check the return policy that I found that downloading the app offers up to 20°! As the person who lugs around an electric blanket no more, I just want to say thank you!

I love this app and the product. I especially like the addition of a sleep mode for 8 hours. It would be nice if we could pre program heat cool modes on a timer so that even if I have my embr on and am away from my phone it can automatically turn on in the morning to help me as I wake. But overall, kudos to the devs.

this won't magically make you survive blizzard conditions, but if a few degrees change separates you from feeling comfortable, this might do the trick. I wear mine in a cool office with lots of airflow. I still need to wear an extra sweater and get up and stamp my feet to ward off cold, but the Embr allows me to be a lot more comfortable.

I can't get past the "enter your code" screen in the app, it spins and spins. I have tried entering as guest. It tells me to upgrade but the button selection freezes and app seems locked. I have uninstalled and retried to get in and get the app working several times.. what good is this thing if the app is garbage?

I will give it 3 stars since I haven't had this item for long... less than 1 month. Only wear 2-3 times a week. So far it's okay. I've had a couple of issues with it going to heat setting instead of cool setting a couple of times, but still working through the kinks. Hopefully I won't have issues moving forward.

Helps tame my hot flashes!! My sister gave me this for my 49th birthday, yes "hot flash" age. I was skeptical to say the least. Wore it on our 3 day trip to Disney, couldn't have made it without it!! Standing in lines in the heat with such close proximity to others, this helped my hot flashes subside much more quickly. It made my trip so much more enjoyable!! My flashes come some months & then are gone for a few. Whenever they fire up, I wear it everyday, everywhere.

Simply doesn't work. Love the idea, the device itself is well built and works but I've NEVER been able to pair the device to the app and use the new app features. I've followed all the instructions in the knowledgebase multiple times. So frustrating!

worked great until the last update, now it won't pair and nothing from their website troubleshooting helps. UPDATE: After letting the battery die, a complete uninstall and reinstall of the app and re-pairing my Embr Wave I was finally able to get it to update. I would rate a 4 but want to see if the next update is going to be just as difficult.

It's okay. But the syncing is so god damn annoying that I've actually stopped using my device. I've contacted embr they said maybe in an update, this was last year. Apparently it's TRUE about the crappy customer service people have been complaining about. Not to mention the device itself overall design sucks. Nobody cares about you being from MIT apparently that didn't help.

Suggestions: in future updates can we get: -Percentage of battery left? is that possible? right now low, med and Hi. Just isn't cutting it. I'd like to be able to judge how much after I have left in a more efficient way. -15 min time: we either have a 5 min or 30 min time could we get a midpoint perhaps at 15 or so 30 mins is just a tad to long for some uses and uses more battery. overall love the app and I love the device and I will continue to spread the word about your amazing product!

This device does help with some of the hot flashes that I have experienced. Menopause is NO JOKE...I NEVER IMAGINED it was so terrible and I believe the Embr Wave has really helped me get through most of my nights!!! I highly recommend this item to any woman out there that is experiencing hot flashes...it TRULY does help to try to cool your body down. A MUST PURCHASE for anyone going through the HELL of Menopause 🥴.

Life changing! I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and my body does a terrible job regulating its temperature. As long as I pay attention, start the session when I first become uncomfortable, and use the right wave form, this thing is MAGIC. Can totally save my day. Could only be improved if it didnt have to charge!

Makes such a difference!! I use this when I get a hot flash; it cools me down much faster than without it. Getting a hot flash in bed can be uncomfortable and can make it difficult to sleep. When that happens, I turn on the bracelet and let it cool me down. Often I fall asleep before my timed cooling cycle goes off. I'm so grateful for it!!

Much easier to use with app. No more having to press the buttons every few minutes thanks to extended mode. the device itself is certainly interesting, so far I'm liking it. definitely a fun talking point

What a solution to years of temperature discomfort! It really does make a difference and is convenient to use. I'm impressed with the ease to use (even initially), the actual results, and convenience of the device.

Got device as gift. Worked great! Cooled down my hot flashes. Then i was told to download app for best results and latest upgrades etc. App FROZE up device, now will not work at all. Also very aggravating that i can't talk to an actual human being on the phone. Customer service tel number would be appreciated. 😡 **update 30 January 2019: got app glitch fixed. device is still AMAZING ! I have passed on my coupons to several people. thanks embrwave for making life bearable. 🙏🌡🔥❄

Love the device & temp tracker! My Autonomic dysfunction can be calmed by the temperature control. Sometimes have to turn my phone off & on because it has trouble connecting to the Embr bracelet. But overall a fantastic device!

Useless app 90% of the time. Refuses to pair up with the device most of the time. When it does pair the device works as advertised--when it pairs. I have tried pairing on both my phone and iPad--same results.

Looks like somehow I'm using my husband's Google account, but the wave is truly amazing. I went on a business trip and was worried about perpetual hot flashes while interacting with me business associates. I barely felt the flashes as I tapped the device each time they came on. It worked quicky and effectively. It almost felt like life before they started. And I was in business casual attire, in the sun and wearing black-- not sweating!

My kids purchased for me for Christmas to help with hot flashes. Plus I do get chilly at times. I LOVE this wave. When a hot flash starts, start the cool. Hot flashes either disapate or have reduced drastically in severity. When cold, start the heat and chill goes. I am so impressed and recommend consistently. So thankful my kids found this amazing device. Also the app is easy to use and convenient.

Life changing!!! I had hot flashes all the time. I got this as a gift for Mother's Day and it immediately changed the duration of my flashes. I can cool down so much faster. It worked so well that I ended up buying one for a friend who has night sweats. This Embr Wave is a serious game changer. And I guess it can warm you up to, but heat is my issue so I have it set to 'Cooling Only'. And the overnight/8 hour setting to combat night sweats is the best update.
