Emdat Mobile
A real-time schedule feed serves as a daily work list while access to patient demographics and history informs dictations. System-generated dictation templates – personalized by each clinician – streamline document creation by requiring only exceptions be dictated. Transcribed content is easily reviewed, edited and signed. Upon completion, uploaded files are automatically integrated into the EMR, faxed or printed.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Android 2.1 or greater
* Internet access through Wifi or phone service provider is required. WiFi connection is strongly recommended when uploading dictations.
* Emdat account is required to use this application.

I have recently switched from an iPhone to an android and I will say that this app was much better on the iPhone. I have had too many issues with it on my android. It is very frustrating. Editing is so incredibly difficult on the android that I have just given up and have to do all my editing on my laptop.
Cannot use this software-crashes badly. Plus didn't record my dictations- had to go back and use fixed line phone to dictate. Please improve compatibility with Android devices. If not we can't use this software!
Glitchy and all-round awful on Android. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Frequently crashes between discharge summaries. Latest update causes my phones screen to go black and I have to force a restart despite reinstalling this app.
Not a good app. Arrogance of US design team apparent. Area defaults to USA and blocks you if you are not US without telling you that this is the problem. Wasted hours of my time!! Very poor!
Crashes at least once per dictation session, am trying reinstall. Wish I didn't have to use it.
New update takes away ability to use fingerprint for password. Please bring that back.
Every time I make an edit it's a gamble whether it saves when I press submit. Every time. Talked tot he support team, they didn't care my dictated letter to a GP was incorrect...

Gets stuck on wrong date and won't show my clinic patients. Now I can't dictate letters to GP.
Developers need to optimise this for Android asap. It seems to only work for Apple.
Doesn't work on android. Dreadful. Takes about 5 minutes to load each time which is just not acceptable in a busy hospital outpatient clinic. Seems to work just fine on my colleagues iPhones. Please fix this soon!
This well designed app allows me to get away from the hellish point and click of EMR. Gives me a beautiful H and P in 1/3 the time. Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!!!
Forced to use this for work...Clunky, unresponsive & barely functional. Often takes 15 minutes to update the list of dictations...occasionally loosing one in the process. Makes me long for my dictaphone.
For whatever reason Emdat was not designed to function on Android phones very well. I thought it was my older Samsung Galaxy S3 that was the problem with Emdat originally...extremely slow to load patient lists, freezing of the program and loss of dictations for no reason. Alas I now have a Samsung Galaxy edge 6 and THE SAME PROBLEM is occuring. I've had to restart my phone 3 times already bc program froze. Now won't play back dictations so I don't know where I left off. Grrr!!
Slow to upload, jumps about when trying to pause and insert. Needs work.
Have to create account which is a hassle then have to go follow different long winded proceedures
Doesn't work properly on Samsung 3, slow operation and takes minutes to load patient data. Not practical for use with the Samsung 3
So glad this is now available on Droid devices. Easy to use and a great look.
Incredibly annoying that it seems to stop uploading dictations after even only a few minutes, and I have to re-log in. I notice that Android users seem to have this problem. I am using a new phone, with secure & stable internet connection, and was logged on to the (fully updated) app the whole time, and it still failed to upload every second dictation without needing to re-log in. Wish this could be fixed ASAP. Otherwise it's not too bad.
