I really liked the Tornado App from the Red Cross. It was accurate and timely. Since they combined into the Emergency App, I am very disappointed. Tornado App actually played the tornado siren when there was a warning, guaranteed to wake me up in the night. This app, if I get a notification on time, is set to a quiet default with no way to add a custom sound-such as the siren they have in their app but that's not an optional sound alert. Very dangerous, as the sirens are going off right now.

Don't entrust your safety to this app. Get a NOAA radio! The app woke me up blaring about a tornado warning 4 hours after the app itself said it was no longer in effect. It had created notifications in real time, but possibly something about Android devices going into deep sleep when inactive prevented the app from sounding an alert. Even if they fix it, you're still entrusting your safety to an internet connection.

This is THE WORST APP I've ever used! I get tornado warnings, immediately followed by cancelled warnings, THEN immediately another WARNING. I really thought this would help me & our kids who live several hundred miles from us. BUT the warnings ON/OFF/ON AGAIN ARE ABSOLUTELY ABSURD.

Very informative, right on & secure . Just don't like that it eats our data 😒 .

It keeps crashing saying there is a bug and the developers need to fix it. I'm Uninstalling it.

I have not received any notifications when I needed them. It's all turned on but I received nothing, not keeping on my phone.

No longer fetches alerts. It will display an all clear when there are active alerts. I haven't gotten a notification from this in months. The app could provide a dangerous false sense of security.

Ok for warnings and watches not great at actual disasters. I'll get fifteen fire watch notifications but if there's a fire within view I get nothing. It's never once alerted me to an earthquake even after I've felt one. It did give an alert for a twister touchdown once although it was at the very edge of my range and wouldn't have been able to get to me so this might be more helpful for people often near tornadoes.

Stopped working last week when I got dozens of warnings in gibberish (looked like code) when we had no warning. It updated so I thought it was fixed but it wasn't. Half hour ago had an actual tornado warning, and the app didn't go off and even when I went out there it said "all clear". It's dangerous to provide an app like this that doesn't work.

I am receiving the alerts for watches & warnings for my area, but they are not making sounds when they come it. It only vibrates my phone. All sounds are turned on and the volume is up. The notifications are not marked silent either. No clue how to fix this.

I always have alerts showing even after they have been cancelled. No way to delete them! Also when I click on "maps" it shows 2 places in red that I have never looked up or clicked on or saved.

Why am I seeing heavy snowfall alerts for mountain passes I'll never cross because I'm a bicycle commuter who lives in a valley miles away? Instead of being useful this app is disruptive, and because of the lack of options it's also completely inaccurate for me. This is what happens when computer geeks get a hold of a good idea, I guess. Which reinforces to me the superiority of a classical education over modern college curricula — that are essentially overpriced vocational training programs.

The app sends lengthy weather alerts about impending storms, etc. The message has many small paragraphs yet nowhere is it found that tells the projected time frame when the storm is expected to hit! Example: warning arrives advising about tropical storm with wind gusts up to 50mph. At present, the air is perfectly calm, so when is this expected to change? Without this forecast information, the alert is close to worthless.

It's great all these red cross apps are made available. However they all should share a common alert setup. As it is, there's overlap and you end up getting the same warnings duplicated...and repeated too many times.

The app works really well at alerting you to dangerous situations. It usually goes off only moments after an alert is issued. However, the app seems slightly buggy at times. Functionally however, it is great.

There really needs to be a setting so it doesn't alert you for the same forecast over and over and over and over and over. I can understand when the when the forecast changes but The way it is makes me one to uninstall it. Right now it's more annoying than helpful. It's kind of like someone's car alarm going off, you don't want to look at it you just want to smash it.

Perfect, this is one of the best Emergency apps out there. You can set up flood warnings, tornado warnings, etc. This has a ton of settings that you can set to keep you informed of the area you live in or even a place you are just visiting.

What an amazing App !!! Actually let's me have a peice of mind , I'm in a wheelchair and its nice to know if a storm or tornado is to close and gives me the chance to get into my van in my attached garage with my power chair and gives me the choice to find shelter for I live in a mobile home park and just feel safer knowing I have time to get to safety, besides it even shows a map of the storms direction so I know to get away from it in the opposite direction , that actually saved me !

So far so good. I didn't want an actual weather app as I have one built into my phone and adding another that actually alerts me takes space. My only complaint with this is we're currently under a severe fog alert but this app doesn't address that. It's important to have when you have a child who gets up early for school.

Needs a way to backup my settings. Maybe even let me move to an SD Card or store in Google Drive. Something! Great idea but every time I get a new phone it's an hour spent reconfiguring.

I really appreciate the ability to choose what warnings I want to get and how I want to receive them. As a meteorologist, I know this feature is much more likely to save lives by reducing warning fatigue.

Super useful and recommended. Wish it had even more on local resources like shelters and agencies and points of contact. Mostly intuitive.

Had to uninstall over 10 notices a day about heat and random things, I know it's hot I can feel it. Most notifications were duplicates 4 or 5 in a 2 minute time period several times a day
