eMio

eMio establishes electric scooters in Berlin by offering them in a free floating and short-term rental system. Our users are faster in traffic and enjoy individual mobility without the quest for parking spaces and without CO2 or noise emissions. Plus, they can enjoy a fun scooter ride!
The system works by localizing and unlocking the electric scooter through a smartphone application. The scooter is equipped with two helmets in different sizes and prices are considerably below our competitors in carsharing. All Scooters are equipped with exchangeable batteries. The eMio team takes care of charging and battery swapping. As a result, users do not have to worry about negative aspects of electric mobility such as battery/cable handling and charging times.

Thereby eMio offers a sustainable mobility alternative and makes its customers smile on everyday rides.

Okish. The ebikes are ok, and work fine, and there are plenty. However, they are not too cheap. Usually, for the same price you can rent a miles Volkswagen car. They should charge by km, not min.

Good idea but very poor execution. The onboarding is tedious and buggy. They charge you 10 euros upfront without telling you first. Most of the scooters you see around the city aren't tracked in the app, which means you can't rent them. When you finally and miracolously manage to rent one, the app doesn't let you end the ride, so that you have to call the support to end the ride. I recommend to never use this product and opt for another company instead.

I've used the service more than 30 times. On the plus side they're fast, clean, lock and unlock is quick. On the minus billing is problematic. It's not instant. they gather many charges and issue an invoice later on. That creates confusion. Also if a billing fails they automatically lock your account with notice or anything (like try a recharge or change card details). instead you need to CS over phone in working hours! to manually unblock you after get transferred between 3-4 people

the service itself is great, and the scooters are really awesome. the app is, on the other hand, proving itself quite unstable. just now i couldn't access my "last trips" option at all, as the app would fall in a loop of constant loading. tried restarting the app, didn't work.

Terrible experience. app has a long way to go in terms of features stability and reliability if you want to compete with mobility provider like Sixt share, shareNow etc. i tried twich and had to face problems on end rental. please show some useful error to user as to why end rental is not possible so that he can take action. 'something went wrong try again' is not a useful error. wasted many minutes to just to end rental and had to call to customer service.

Have to restart the app for reserving starting and ending rides and customer support never answered my email. Scooter mirrors are often damaged, even the xxl are helmets too small and the chinstrap is difficult to adjust. Box often wont close, which is annoying and costs extra minutes. Apart from all that: great service and very pleasant scooters.

the new version of the app doesnt work. i have to uninstall and reinstall the app every time i use it or ill be stuck in berlin and there will be no scooters anywhere on the map. If you can somehow manage ro rent a scooter with the new app, you wont be able to return it and will have to call customer service (while still paying for the rental). The new app also uses tons of data, please roll this app back to the old version!

Same as all the other eScooter apps - fine until you have an admin problem, then totally useless if you hit a problem customer service can't resolve quickly or easily. My card expired, made two rides which didnt get billed due to this, account blocked, only found out when i went to use the app, updated card but neither the app or customer service could trigger billing cycle to charge my new card and unblock the account so i couldn't use service for a day during prime time i wanted to use it.

Emmy used to be awesome and affordable. Now it's just awful. The old scooters are gone, the new ones are smaller, boring and always breaking down. I even had to interrupt a ride last month because the motor warning came on. The prices more than doubled. So now you pay twice as much for worse scooters in questionable technical conditions which are not half as comfortable or as cool as the old ones. Bye emmy

It is absurd that the app only shows the name of the scooter instead of showing the number plate. Furthermore, I think it would make more sense to show how many minutes have been used during the ride but on the screen of the scooter. Lastly but not the least, charging us as soon us we unlock the scooter is a little bit harsh. I think it's better for the charging to be initiated as soon as we start riding. Please also warn us when we're entering a non business area 🙏

Really good service and app. I had a problem locking the scooter, i called customer service, they locked in remotely and credited me 10 xtra minutes! The only minor thing would be a better navigation mode while you try to find the emmy! Keep it up! 🤟

10€ signup fee for scooters that are almost never around. Another star removed because scooters are too heavy and too difficult to manage, and the design is also not completely safe; I just hurt my leg when it was stuck between ground and the parking stand because the stand keeps outside of the scooter body while I was trying to go at the walking speed.

Nice concept and fair price BUT the new scooters in Munich are terrible, in so many ways. Crouched seating position, worse brakes, slower acceleration and only one speed setting. Also they are so much more fragile and feel cheap. The worst are the sounds!! You'll never use the indicators again because they're so loud and ittitating and the sound of unlocking and locking is plain annoying. Whoever bought into these only had cost savings in mind and screwing over the experience, just why?

Charged me 10 euros before I completed registration and couldn't complete the registration because I have a non EU license. Such a scam that they charge you the registration fee before you even register. Only way to get my money back is calling support. No chat option for support in the app. Very disappointing.

I used emmy for a long time without any problems. But today it wasn't possible to start the scooter and afterwards to finish the ride. Nobody from the support was reachable after stucking for two times for more then an half hour in the hotline without anybody picking up and more then 90 minutes at the scooter I decided to write an email, and take the key with me. I still didn't got any response, the scooter is unlocked and the ride is now running since 6 hours. I can't recomend to use the app.

After i make the payment to Emmy . And have talk with the support team at the day i make the payment . They confirmed that Everything is ok and my account will be unblocked . Because they try to get the amount from my bank account and they could not .So i make the transfer to Emmy account and they confirmed that my Emmy account will be open in few days soon they recive the payment .after that I get email next day they ask me to pay the full amount again and Cashback fee .and I'm still blocked

Avoid this app. Renting the scooter was easy, but when trying to calcel, the app didnt work. After 15 minutes of trying to call support, I got through in the end. The offered 5 free minutes for the trouble, after +15 minutes of wrestling with the app.

Avoid by all means. The app is a complete embarrassment, crashes and does not work. I could not lock my scooter for 15 minutes getting a message 'don't worry we sent out monkeys to fix it' finally it worked and said thank you we locked the scooter... Only to get charged €82.60 for having it 'parked' for over two days... And good luck trying to reach support!!! Scooters are complete garbage too, not looked after or maintained. Plenty of other options, don't waste your money or risk your life!!!

Took my 10 Euros even though it said there is no fee for signing up anymore. How can it cost 10 Euros just to sign up and you don't even get anything for it. No free minutes no nothing. I'll stick to FELYX, thanks....
