It runs nds roms quite smoothly, my only issue is the placement of the R and L triggers, for example the R trigger blocks a small portion of the bottom screen making it unusable. That had me stuck on a screen that requires a touch in that corner of the bottom screen, had to reset and avoid that screen entirely. Other than that I encountered no problem.

Don't allow the screen to auto rotate. Everyone it rotates or will load the last save state. That includes if you are trying to fine tune settings so make sure you save before adjusting any settings. This is pretty big issue. The ads are kind of annoying as they pop up every time you want to go from the game to another screen or load a save state, but they aren't too bad. I would also appreciate a button that combines L/R and A/B.

A meh emulator. Works smoothly on sound and graphics but it's not great with games that use real time. I played tomodachi collection on here and everything was going well until I accidentally put my phone to landscape mode and it just deleted all my progress. I had to make my miis all over again. That and you constantly have to correct the time when you go back to your game as the app doesn't correct it to your current time. It's annoying.

I like the big screens and it runs well. I run into trouble when I tilt my phone from landscape to portrait, as this resets the game to the last save state. Very frustrating. It also does it when my phone's automatic screen rotation is turned off. The in-game settings are set as landscape-full screen but it still flips. Despite this frustration, this is a great app. Thank you! Samsung Note 10+ Android 12.

It's fine in game when I play but it doesn't always save your progress. When I think I saved it then carry on with the story line, the game takes me back to other saved slots and occasionally at the start of the game instead to where I last saved the game. But overall it's ok, great placements of buttons and easy to configure, I just hope they fix the issue about saving and also portrait locks( even if I had it on, it still tilts most of the time) so yeah still definitely a great Emulator.

Considering the access to games it gives you for free it's a great service, it has setbacks: touch-screen issues, adverts and some awkwardness with loading data and screen rotation, buut considering you are getting access to games that can cost a considerable amount and consoles that can cost more so. It's certainly a great alternative if you can't or don't want to buy the games/consoles.

It was great for 1-2 until my save files all got bugged. It loaded me back several saves and I thought it would be fine because last time that happened it changed back, but this time after restarting the app it loaded me even farther back from that first time. Now I'm stuck in this one save spot and all the saves are unplayable, plus it messed up my save file on another game and the only way to access the game I'm currently playing is if I load another game? Very frustrating

This emulator has been great, easy takes my roms, not super glitchy, one of the only multiplatform emulators I've found on here that'll let me also play DS games. The only things that have gotten on my nerves are that the buttons are on the bottom screen for the DS roms I have (sometimes the control buttons will block my options on the touch screen, but Ive been able to work around it), and every time my screen orientation changes it takes me to my last save (wish they would fix that one...)

A good emulator, but some really weird choices made. Ads are fully ingrained in the app. Doing most things will trigger an ad to play, including loading a save state. Worse yet, there is no paid version that removes the ads. Also: it is difficult to change what buttons show on the touch screen. I have so far been unable to show save and load state buttons, and can only show a fast forward button when in portrait mode. I have high hopes for this app if they fix these flawed choices.

The EmuBox app is great, it's been fun, easy to control and get around, but the only thing I'm irritated with is that suddenly cheats don't work. I can't have to 100 percent chance catch to work or multiplying exp to work. There may be the same issues with other games and it needs to be fixed. Edit: I've been playing this for more then a year and its been great, still works like a charm with dsi nintendo games. :) Edit: Since ive posted this, this app has gone unavailable for my phone. Its really dissapointing and makes me sad.

I have been experiencing an issue in which the touch screen will occasionally flip positions with the top screen on times where its mandatory to use, I'd love if there was a way to fix it. It'd also be nice to have a revert to default for all settings instead of just the virtual button config menu. Aside from that... decently good mobile emulator. games run consistently, audio doesn't have any issues, touch screen usually works well enough, save states are a bit clunky tho.

Buggy as hell. Makes games unplayable sometimes. Don't download it. I recommend paying for a better emulator instead of getting a free buggy mess. In case you already installed this and only keep it because of your save states: Open your file manager, select the EmuBox folder and visit the backup folder. If you save inside your game instead of creating a save state it creates a backup here. These files can be moved to other emu's backup folders. Start a new game on your new emu, it'll be there

It runs smoother than the other emulators only issue is controls setting they're kind of odd but other than that it's great ! Also speeds up the emulation Better than the others that shows on your phone whenever you try it on it. Just wish there was a way to get rid of the adds it's only downfall.

The app works pretty well, but the ads logic is stupid. Any action requires a non skippable ad to be loaded, and because you are not pre-loading them, they constantly fail. Boggles the mind that you decided that if the ad fails to load, the ACTION IS CANCELLED. It's just a silly logic that goes against everything we know about UX. Simply pre load the ads so they are ready to go, set a limit on the amount (1) you can be shown per minute and never cancel the user action, even if no ad.

Very straight forward and easy to use. Make sure you're not moving too much, as the auto-rotate function of the game may revert you to your previous save state. So maybe avoid playing while laying down. Other than that, great emulator.

The emulator is awesome! But there is a problem: the Save slot. I don't know why but everytime I save my game it goes to save slot 0. Not 1 not 2 but 0, and it could get a bit annoying at times. Not to mention, and it's not even that big of a problem, but every time want to play my game offline from the save slot it keeps saying " no ads found" and that also can get pretty annoying. I hope you can fix this, but overall it's a great emulator and I love it!

This is the best free DS emulator. The only thing that detracts a star for me is the limited amount of options (especially for the button layout). Many times (no, scratch that. ALL the time) the buttons are in the way of what I'm trying to tap on and makes it a frustrating experience. I think the option to resize the buttons would be very welcome and is almost a necessity. Otherwise, this emulator plays games beautifully and I've had no problems!

The game play is as good as you can get from a free emulator, and the fact that it's multiple emulators in one is very convenient. The user interface is very clean and snappy, and the adds aren't to obnoxious; however what keeps me from rating this higher is the inability to load save states. Every game where I try to load a save state, EmuBox crashes and I'm unable to pick up where I left off. Please fix this issue, it's keeping this emulator from being great, and it's very disappointing.

Best NDS emulator on the market! A few problems that I have though. 1: Needs the ability to customise button placements. 2: Needs to add a button to toggle the other buttons in order to use the touch screen as they get in the way for certain games. 3: Super Mario Bros DS doesn't work, it keeps coming up with a message asking me to take the game cartridge out and try again. If these could be added and sorted that would be great!

Works good for the most part. Only game I've used so far is pokemon platinum. reason for 4/5: if you turn on autosave, the game will freeze up every time you rotate your phone from the direction you started the game from(portrait to landscape and vice versa), and every time you put it in the background. It seems to put the game in a pause state, but never takes it out of the pause state. I played with the settings and the only thing that causes this is the auto-save option being on. (note 8)

I don't know if it's a problem with the emulator or with my device, but everytime I tap the menu icon the emulator freezes? I'm using an Acer tablet. I've tried with every game I've played so far and it always does this. Also, save states don't load. EmuBox simply stops working when I try to do so. It's nothing too gamebreaking, as if I was playing on an actual NDS I wouldn't have any of these features. But it's definitely annoying. It also seems that PSX games simply don't work. It gets stuck on the loading screen and eventually just crashes.

one of the best free emulators for android in my opinion. but I use a galaxy s10 and saw that there was a fullscreen feature. i thought i would try it out, the buttons were mapped in a different place and I cannot go back to the regular version. all in all, that was the only bad experience I had. devs, please fix this, or maybe add more setting features. thank you

Really thank you very much for creating this emulator, it's superb! I've a problem which I hope you may solve, I recently bought a wireless controller but it's not compatible with the emulator. I believe it is not designed to sync with the wireless controller. I still prefer the physical controller to play this kind of classic games, so I hope you could do an update on the emulator. Thanks a million, and really look forward to hear from you soon.

I love this emulator. It's the only one that runs the games on my phone smoothly. The only thing I'm a bit sad about, there is no possibility to change the kayout of the buttons or turn them off. Sometimes they're in the way on the touch screen and I can't get into certain functions in the game. The emulator also crashes when the screen rotates. Even when screen rotation is off, the app still rotates when the phone is on its side. That's really too bad!

This is probably the most well rounded emulators, and certainly the best for free, but it also has one if the worst user interfaces I've ever come across. The user interface needs overhauled like crazy, if it's going to be so simple and look like the bare minimum of what counts as an app, at least allow the user to change the background maybe? And an adjustment for the control scheme and button placement is A MUST! I've had two times I tried to press L1 and hit load state and lost an hour.

The option to turn off sound doesnt work. The ads are very intrusive and turn off whatever sound you have going, making it really hard to play games while listening to music. These two problems make his unusable for me. On top of this the saving rarely works, the fast foward does nothing and if you change apps it can reset your game. But it is a very ambitious project. It does play games. I hope they improve this.
