Encrypt.me - Super Simple VPN

I've been using it as a part of another program. Have only been using Encrypt.me for a few days and already it has slowed my connection speed noticeably and several times have been unable to connect at all. Will give it a few more days before deciding whether to discontinue use. My research suggests that VPNs are much more limited in their benefits than most would have you believe.

This has to be the worst VPN on the market. I got it included free as part of an eero security package and I still paid too much. I've only been able to actually launch this app successfully once, every other time it tells me there is an error to try again later. If you go to the website, it directs you back to this app... which doesn't work.

It's an incredibly frustrating app. You routinely have to delete it and reinstall it. It will work for a few weeks then it starts to struggle. It will just get stuck on connecting and never connect. Having to regularly reinstall the app is seriously annoying. I have to use it as it's part of a package I pay for but if you're looking for a VPN I'd consider other options until this can run smoothly, if ever.

After initially connecting for a while. It's gone to randomly disconnecting in the background to simply not connecting anymore. This has been the case for several months now. I contacted support when I first observed the stability issue on my pc and received a hopeless response that resulted in my uninstalling the client from my pc.

Not able to connect most of the time. Contacted support and they just tell me to reinstall. How many times do i need to do that just to use the app. If not included with eero service, would have deleted by now.

This stopped working, but after contacting support, they got me back up and running. When you go into your settings for Memory and Battery, make sure the app is excluded from sleeping and background apps being closed. I also signed out and back in before that.

Slows internet down a lot. I have to turn it off most of the time just to google something or access websites. Half of the time I can't turn it off, it turns itself back on and I can't browse the internet until I restart my phone. Can't use it with TV streaming, so pretty much useless.

What a great app! Works flawlessly. It's fast, light, easy on your battery, and simple to set up and use. I have three VPNs in my life and wish they were all this effortless. You may have to tap dance around some public WiFi security to use it, but that is true of any VPN. 5 stars!

Used to be great, recently has become unreliable, after using for 2 years as a happy customer. I will be looking for a new VPN once my subscription ends. * Often doesn't connect. * Often requires completing a force stop In order to function. * Quick settings option stoped working a few months ago with Android 10 and tech support said the new OS broke their code... Months later it's still not fixed.

I love the idea of this app and use it on Windows without issues. However this app on both my Pixel and Pixel 3 isnt reliable. The auto connection when on non-approved networks rarely works. The connection often drops and gets stuck in a reconnect, authentication loop.

Sometimes ends up flaking out when the device switches from WiFi to cellular. I understand that ease of use is their priority, but I wouldn't mind having advanced settings to allow me to set my own DNS servers and allow users to select udp instead of tcp for whichever protocol they implement in the client.

I have for the last 24+ hours been trying to connect to a server, any server, with no luck. I went back and executed all of the trouble shooting steps as well as called my ISP to confirm they are not blocking any services. Even having done all of those steps and confirming there isn't any policies preventing me from accessing the servers, I am still unable to connect. I am completely disappointed by the situation especially since I am paying for this service.

I have had a excellent experience with this app. I did the free trial and it really did a awesome job. Thank you for allowing a free trial. However I seem to be strapped for cash and my phone will go back to regular until I can get enough extra to spend on a plan. But excellent job developer!

Pretty nice app, but it's important to know that you're still fully encrypted and protected without a VPN. If you're considering purchasing a subscription to a VPN that tells you that your usual online activity is easily accessible without one, you're being scammed. There's something called HTTPS which has made this impossible for many years now. A VPN will only protect you from a HTTP site that handles your sensitive information, which is very rarely the case as HTTP is long outdated.

On 5g with the erro pro mesh system it works absolutely fine. I ran the erro speed test. It's actually a smidge faster then the default. My only issue is the constant notification that my phone is running on a vpn. Not necessary.

This application use to work, but now whenever I connect to a public network in my OnePlus 5T it does not auto connect. I have to open the application and then it will connect. That defeats the purpose of the auto connect feature that this application has... Please fix Android: 8.1.0

The app creator took their time to create one of the easiest and most effective tools in a persons arsenal too protect their privacy. The app can be used constently, for specific apps or only when you want it too. Encrypt.me provides the most easiest apps to use and create the needed security today.

Great app! Easy to use! I have it on my firetv and my phone. Sometimes it says that I dont even have an internet connection to begin with but I just hit the connect/connect button twice and itll work.

Phone never connects. Got this with my eeros along with one pass. Will not be renewing this. Contacted support and they were very helpful. Finally got it so it would connect. Thank you for the prompt help. Very good online support.

Used to work great. Last few months, hasn't worked at all. Doesn't connect. Most recently, keeps giving an error message re: needing GPS to work. Would not recommend.

Seems to work well on my Windows laptop and my Samsung Galaxy 10 phone, but it won't connect on my Samsung Galaxy tablet. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app with no luck.

Used the app fine until the quarantine happened, now when I try to turn on the VPN it doesnt connect to the servers, just loads for eternity. I get the lockdown is probably slowing it down but i cant use the VPN

Encrypt.me is constantly securing trusted networks. Make it stop! It will secure some networks and not others.

For me when I turn on the VPN suddenly all the Ad blocking from the Aero Mesh stops working. Tried reaching out to both companies and got the finger pointing.

I am very happy I joined Encrypt.Me for it is a very needed asset to your everyday life. It gives you the extra protection when you need it the most. I advise people to look into the encryption of privacy you value the most, you will love it.
