Unless overly complicated app, doesn't provide locations, only doctors names and as a result, sends you to out of network providers causing extra fees.
Too much random junk all over. Can't find anything. Changes what I type when I try to search to guide me to what the app wants me to do instead of what I want to find
App does very well with tracking my steps and activities, but not sleep. I use Google Fit as my tracker which is connected to my Smartwatch. Although the Engage app pulls steps and activities from Google Fit, I cannot get the sleep tracker to pull information from Google Fit. Very frustrating trying to debug the issue. I am forced to manually track sleep stats which is disappointing.
I can't even login to the account! Never got a password reset link even after contacting support for help twice. Poor design for a health app.
This app is minimally helpful. While it's nice to theoretically see your providers, deductible status, ID card, and other features at a glance, the deductible info doesn't update regularly, and searching for providers is infuriating. It's all too happy to recommend "providers close to you," as long as you don't mind "close" being defined as 40 miles away. Searching doesn't give you a list of providers; it just pops up with the first one with a close name. My insurer needs to find a better app.
The app told me I was actively covered for dental but it wasn't until after I went to my dentist that I found out no, that wasn't true. There is a disconnect between the employer and BCBS, and having things updated (by over a year!). It can be very difficult figuring out how to update your provider and Rx lists; I'm still scratching my head. Once you get used to seeing past all the fluff, though, it is nice to see everything in one spot.
Works great so far. Would be nicer if the app had its own health-tracking system to help streamline reward point earning process. Instead of, having the users download, sign up and in some cases manually sync other apps that track and simply relay the data over. Fit bit seems to be the only universal way of tracking the major catagories being sleep, step count and daily caloric intake. However, if your like me and didn't buy into the hyper. There are free apps. Unfortunately
Locked out since last Friday afternoon. Neither chat support nor live person can give any details on problem. Still waiting for a resolution today Review updated 1/25/2022 There's a support agent that give me updates, so far they still couldn't figure out the issue. It's now more than two weeks, since login issue occured on 1/7/2022. Case reported 1/8/2022. The app is tied to HSA, which is a serious problem for me.
Aside from a means of viewing your insurance card, I can find no real value to the rest of the app. The points system for well being is pointless and comely vague. Can't find a point total and no real benefit in the store. All in all, very disappointing compared to other insurance rewards based systems.
Does not live up to the advertisements. Super difficult to find info in what i seek.
It's great.....when it works. I am having trouble getting points for things I have completed and my husband has inquired as to where his Amazon gift card is several times over the last 3 weeks and they still can't seem to help him (the response is always that they are "working on it"). I am hoping that improvements are made to the app and the whole process soon!
I like earning rewards through this app. Unfortunately Engage regularly loses or doesn't sync my steps from Google Fit. I make sure to open both apps before the end of the day and even when I see the steps appear on Engage that evening, when I log in a few days later on Engage the steps from a few days have disappeared. So frustrating! This never happens with my food diary and MyFitnessPal.
A lot of information is in the app, and the updates made it easier to navigate
Horrible, avoid this app. It's a waste of time with too many problems. For starters registered info does not match but it should. When calling the wait is way to long. Hung up after 20 minutes. Call back and they are closed. Now the app does not open, seems to try and start for it's last session. Just a busy symbol keeps turning.
Why does this app need microphone, camera, and storage/read write access? Why does it need access to install other apps without permission? Why does it need access to make phone calls without permission? Suspicious.
does not include all fitness trackers to sync with. just had to download this for work and found out my Samsung Fitness tracker is not one of the available options that the app syncs with and I'm not happy about it. this means that data I already record I have to remember to manually go into the app and record. That sucks and I will steadfastly refuse to get a different tracker to capitulate to the needs of this app
The app (and website) sucks. It doesn't find my location, it doesn't sync to my fitness tracker and it won't even log onto the device store. I called and spoke to customer service about my issue, they said they'd get back to me... They did so 3 weeks later and told me to uninstall and reinstall the app. Did that, still doesn't work.
So far so good. Learning about all features.thanks
Every time I try to access the live video appointment feature, after I enter all the required information, I get an error that says "oops, something went wrong". I've tried closing the app completely and trying again, I've also tried entering another credit card, and I still get the same error.
I was very upset when I realized that my Samsung Watch was not one of the trackers that would link to this app. I tried to link it to some of the approved apps but that also never worked. I don't want to buy another tracker when the one I have cost in excess of $300. It is a popular brand and should be included in the compatible options.
Not intuitive. Cannot correct faulty/typo-ed entries. Or entries when you thought the darn app wasnt recording what you entered, so re-entered, then ended up with double quantities. It won't get info from apps (ie, pedometer app, food tracker app) only expensive hardware like fitbits. Awful app to be FORCED to use for insurance!
App was good earlier this year. Now it opens to a screen that says I have to update to use. I click the update now button, it takes me to Google play and Google play doesn't have an update available. It just shows an open button or uninatall. I click open, it goes back to engage which only has an update button and so continues the cycle.
Does not work well on Galaxy S8. Many screens lock when you try to hit a link button. Videos won't play. Takes long time to buffer, then only sound comes out. Manual tracking won't save my steps, food, or sleep.
Please update the list of fitness apps this works with. Google Fit is rather horrible and does not consistently track steps, but the list of available apps is very small. If engage could sync with Samsung health, that would work much better.
I received a notice that the app needed to be updated. When I clicked on Update Now it circled back to the open or uninstall page. This happened repeatedly. I never could get into the app.
This is a very dysfunctional app. Does not recognize your zip code when searching for nearby care. The web page isn't much better. Chat help tries to make it a user error problem instead of reporting the problem to IT.
Works great in helping you find medical service covered by your network for the specific type of care you need. I was surprised by the number of options in my small area. The way it keeps up with what you have spent towards your deductable is nice, but knowing the balance of my HSA account is the best feature on the app.
This app is pretty comprehensive I just wish that dental and vision could be easily incorporated instead of having to link to external sites. Also, search engine is a little difficult for finding covered physicians on phone.
It isn't very helpful at finding out if the plan pays for anything or getting access to on line help. They are clised on the weekends and there is no place to ask questions, the only reason I even gave it 1star was it told me how much I have spent in my fsa. This app is a waste of space and time.
Not intuitive navigation and can take clicking multiple options before finding what I'm looking for. HSA details were out of date, always had to go to my HSA webpage to find my real available amount. Biggest issue: every time I try to login on the website or the app, I have to create a new password. I can create a password, and 5 minutes later or will tell me it's incorrect. Got the app hoping the fingerprint scanner could help bypass this issue... Nope, can't use the scanner because of this.
