English Grammar in Use

Clear and helpful explanations, wonderful exercises. As for the download problems: uninstall the app, optionally clear the cache and install again. Start the app and at the first screen dont do anything until the download is not completed. It won't take long, maybe a minute or two. After it has been completed everything should work as advertised.

Good app. Actually I have the book but having a mobile version makes it easy to learn grammar. Content is very good and there are lots of exercises. I can say this app covers more than 80% of grammar. There are few more topics in grammar which are not covered, but they can be practiced saparately once exercise in this apps are done. Over all a great app for beginners and intermediate who want to learn or improve their English.

For those who is having issues with downloading of the content (android). Close the app. Go to apps, pick up the app. Click on "Storage" and use "clear data" and "clear cache" buttons. Launch the app. You will see "welcome" screen and download will start. WAIT until it's done (1-2 mins). That's all. You are not able to download any content from the internal pages, " missing content" button does not work. The only way to download something is welcome screen.

Very convenient to deepen one's grammar knowledge or especially for repeating, bit the app often happens to state that a lesson you want to learn is still not downloaded. For instance, now I want to deal with 113th one, but I just can't open it despite I have payed for the app. I'm able to open many others, but it's anyway a very unpleasant flaw. Hope it will be fixed soon.

The content is perfect, amazing. The download time is killing me. I've just bought a few days ago and it's still downloading missing contents. Restarted my handphone a few times, reinstalled the app again, still there are missing units. I really don't know what to do. There is nothing wrong with my phone nor my internet. Another cons: I need to remember where I left, there is no proper bookmark.

I have got the hard copy book. It is great with a lot of exercises to practice. But the apps versions is more preferable. Its cheaper; I can check my answers and do the corrections immediately; also, I can attempt the same questions as many times as i want. It helps in learning English grammar for sure.

Very convenient to use. Much better than book version. Suggestions: The 'Additional Exercises' should be more user friendly, e.g. show ticks for correct answers. Even more, In 'My Record', touching the ticked/unticked should reveal the corresponding questions. And, bookmark option for each section and/or question instead of just unit . These features could considerably aid revisions.

Great app content, just a shame about the problems with downloading purchased content. The workaround is to go to a wifi network on a different ISP to your home wifi and try again. This only half-worked - most of the content still isn't downloaded. This isn't acceptable, and needs to be fixed.

It's a wonderful idea to transform this iconic book into an interactive app. However, I'd much rather pay for it once than download a free one with 6 units available and purchase every next one. The idea gets 5 stars.

Well... The app idea is brilliant but there are some difficulties with app installation process :( I tried to download rest of the articles several times but it was not successful at all. Than I tried to reinstall app many times without any hope that it is going to work (. And than after 6th or 8th reinstallation attempt app became alive ... Bingo my friends. There are two ways to get this app working is just to try .. try.. or to wait when seller company fix this bug. Have a nice day!!!

App is great, really awesome. It helps a lot but just there is an error. When i wanna close the app tapping button "go back" of cellphone, app doesnt close/exit. It is just going back to main menu. I would like English Grammar team fix this issues. Thanks!

One of the best app to learn and improve your English grammar, i must say if you are confused about tenses and sentence formation. This is the best app to go for. This app will teach you everything in English with basic examples also with quiz for every topic. I recommend this to everyone!!!

I bought the book first and after I saw this app in the Play Store. Easy to learn the situations and complete the tasks. Focusing on the simplest, clear explanation of the grammar. I am on intermediate level and using this book for revisions. The book is very similar than the content of this application but writing and correction is faster than handwriting in a book, and also here are audio content for pronounciations. Jumping through sections and additional content is much easier than to scroll.

I was using the book until now, but i realized that I couldn't carry ot with me everywhere I go, and that is why o decided to purchase the app veraion of the book. The app is simple but brilliant, and so far I haven't run into any problems. I recommend it to everyone that wants to jump to the next level of English. It takes 75 days times two units a day. Thank you very much to the writer and developers!

A very nice and comprehensive english grammar app. The way examples are illustrated for grammar structure makes you understand grammar instantly. One thing I want to suggest is plz include the proper title for tenses and other grammar topics, eg. future continuous tense, future perfect tense, because I want to know the topic title of grammar that I am learning.

I've tried to purchase present perfect and past (Unit 15) but after some time the app thinks about it, only to tell me it needs to download the content again. Even after the system notification said it downloaded 100% of the package, the app says it was not fully loaded. It's a mess and I have not managed to open the content I already paid for yet.

Great exercises but UX is quite bad. There are a lot of annoying details, like not saving position where you ended so you need to remember which tab to open or open them all, doesn't mark chapters as completed automatically (at least, there is an option to mark it completed manually) and so on

This app includes exactly the material of the book. Its perfect for whom like to self study and do not like the heavy books. You can practice everywhere and anytime without book and pen and CD of the book. All the audio files are included in the app.

I paid for full content in the app but I can't download it. I'm always getting Downloading content and icons by chapters are depicted as broken. I tried to download missing content from the Main menu, it downloads something but still not working. I sent a letter to support 3 days ago and haven't got any reply yet. Is anybody alive there? Updated. Finally I got help from support team. everything is working now.

Why do I have to always retrieve the missing contents ? That's annoying, isn't it? Once I purchased it,I would expect a smooth operation of the app. Now I have purchased the full version for my IOS and it still won't work! Come on Cambridge, give back my money or speed up your rectification.

Great app with cool contents and interactive exercises. Right now I purchased one group of chapters but the installment process is pretty slow. I don't know if it is because of my phone, the wifi or the app but it is taking ages. Anyways a great app for students and teachers

Warning for Android users! This App would never fully get downloaded. Seems to be an innate fatal error in its algorithm. Refund wanted. Tried numerous times with the CHECK FOR MISSING CONTENTS but the contents still would not get downloaded. Endlessly turning circles seem to be making fun of me.

I bought the full app and it was working fine for some time, untill it updated itself in 2018. After the update the most units stopped working - "download missing content" fails every time, the same problem like many other users have. It looks like goblins from Harry Potter books developed this app - I can only have it temporary, despite of loosing my money permanently. UPDATE: Settings->Apps, select this app, Force stop->Clear cache->clear data, start the app. After this, download worked for me

Great app, but I'm unable to download content. It keeps failing all the time. I've tried everything, including the new option to download missing content. Very upsetting, as I'm using this app to study on the go, and I'm not able to continue.

At first I couldn't download the contents, I've tried so many times and it never completed. However after I tried reinstall, I could download them finally. My phone is android, if you have an android phone and couldn't download as well, try to install again. Sorry for my poor English. I hope you can deal with it!

Much useful application.1. plz redesign exercises. Bcz, it's difficult to type and write sentences. 2. Plz add bookmark option for parts of a unit i.e. a, b, c and bookmark option for each question in an exercise. Moreover, provide an option, for users to create special exercise of custom no. Questions to practice of bookmarked qstions. 2. Plzz keep the same "mobile screen" interface for tablet as well. It's much difficult to read on a 7 inch tablet.

At first, I was delighted to see that there is an app available for andoriod. Then again, there are only 6 units for free. I thought that by buying a premium version I could have access to all other units or something like that, but I found out that I have to pay for every 6 units. In the nutshell, the paper book is much economical and useful. Do NOT waste 195 mbs.

i bought the program but I can only use the first part. For example when i clicked any lesson from future, i get a warning like that " Content check - One or more units failed to download fully, Try again?" and then i click "ok" and then start to download and then the same problem continues after the installation is completed. İİ couldnt anywhere for discuss this issue so that i am writing here. Anyone can help ?

Same story like many other users have. I have purchased all the units but cannot download them. To fix I deleted the app, rebooted my phone, installed app again and while it was downloading I kept the app open in the foreground all the time and did not let phone to lock out.

Bought full version but cannot download any part except the very first one. Restarting the download won't help. Reinstalling won't help. The material is great and I wish I could use it, but it seems not possible. Update: after I contacted support they gave me the instructions how to fix my issue. Now all works and I'm happy!
