The biggest issue was the compatibility. It still is. It got better from recent updates I think. With better compatibility, I will be happy to give them 4-5 stars. Updated!! Compatibility issues have been solved. it is working well enough now. Very good! I hope they would keep this way for long.
Great app for people who's learning English, like me. Its best features are offline use, image resources and word's sound. As a recommendation I'd like you to add Google Drive or One Drive support in order to sincronyze favorite words between devices.
A very complete and well-designed bilingual dictionary. It's turned out to be well worth the higher-than-average asking price. I don't feel the need for my paper dictionary anymore! This dictionary is truly the best! However, after the new update, i had the white screen issue and I re-installed and it fixed the problem, my issue now is the speaker, it does not work, :(
After latest update the unabridged dictionary app no longer works!! It opens a white screen, other users report the same issue.It was working fine prior to the update. Terrible quality assurance testing.
I've had this app for a long time with no problems and I was very satisfied. Now it won't install on any of my devices . I paid full price . Can the developers please read the comments and fix this issue. I would change my review to 5 stars if they did. It seems they are ignoring all the comments.

The app says the database has not been installed, can I have some assistance with this issue? The issue still remains after many updates. Feels like my 25 dollars are wasted. I'd like to know if you're working on it. Update : Android 11 it seems to work
Sept 7 2019 After several weeks (7 or 8) of waiting the most recent update now works with updated Chrome Pixelbook. I'll review again in a few weeks once I see if it performs as it should. For learning spanish it's a very good app when it works.
All the dictionaries by Wordmagic software are a must to have. Highly recommended.
Crashes often!
Good dictionary--I use it all the time. I do have to check with Spanish speaking friends to be sure I'm not using an obscure word. The color dots that indicate the most common usage are somewhat helpful. I find the flag symbols a little bit confusing, especially since many terms are used in multiple countries. But I can't count that against the dictionary. It would be nice if there were more examples of slang usage in Spanish... I find it frustrating sometimes that I'm looking up a word in Spanish and the usage example (or quote) is of the English word translation. Or of a different word in Spanish. I need the Spanish example... Also, I cringe when I see some of the supposed "synonyms" in English. Many of them are just plain wrong, outdated and/or from a country other than my own, and a person would sound like a fool using them. This makes me wonder if I should be concerned about the synonyms listed in Spanish. Use the English slang terms at your own risk!
Best English Spanish dictionary app I've found.
Worked for 5 years then started crashing with every search. Now after Android 9 update it won't open at all. When it worked it had a very large vocabulary but with poor examples of word use, often the word wasn't even in the example.
The link to the Dropbox is not working so it doesn't sync with other devices. If you need to study the words in the favorite file when click on the word you cannot go back to the file and you have to start all over again. Requested the fix a year ago in several ocasiones but hasn't been done yet.
So far I'm woefully underwhelmed. It seems there are no instructions about how to use this: neither in the app, nor in Play Store, nor in the vendor's website. We see screenshots of Flashcards and it's in the feature list. I see a (pretty well-hidden) button for Flash cards in the app (if I click Favourites ,then Spanish, then "...". But the list is always empty, no matter what I click. This app has nearly half-a-gigabyte of data, and apparently they haven't even spent half-an-hour making some help page. On their website, they have a "Live Support" option. Nobody there, but then it is Saturday evening. I''ve left a message. There's an option saying "Contact"... you might expect it would give a webform or an e-mail address... instead it asks me to install some app... to make contact? What..? Anyway there's an e-mail address below. If I get success I'll update this review. If I don't, I'll be making a claim for a refund.
Best of the best and worth every last cent of the 25 dollars. Moves to the SD card which is great for an application this huge.
NOW ABLE TO MOVE TO SD CARD! This App is HUGE! 562MB! Still by far the hands-down best, most meticulously thorough Spanish language (two way) to English and visa-versa language tool available anywhere. Period. Over 40 years, I have tried them all - nothing else comes close. Highly recommend this app!
I recently translated some real estate documents and found every technical term I did not know in here. I could not find these words with any other dictionaries, which prompted buying this one. Very useful for legal and other specialty use. Online dictionaries cannot compete with this one. Easy to use, too. Despite some other reviewer complaints, I feel it is very well worth the money!
I've been using this dictionary for about a year now, and it's just getting better and better. It's by far the best dictionary out there in every way.
Occupies a lot, wud be better if tranferred into sd card. Some customers would think twice considering the app size. So pLease,developers, make it enable to be transferred into sd card
What if the brake pedal and the gas pedal were reversed on your car? They would still work, but you'd have to remember every time that you used your car that it was different than every other car you had ever driven and from every other car that you probably would drive. So it is with this app. The "back" button takes you out of the application. It doesn't take you "back" it doesn't return you to your search so you can refine it, it takes you out of the application! For me that meanst 300+ pesos down the drain.
Very comprehensive, my only complaint is that it should be much easier to cross reference conjugations, otherwise would have rated 5 stars.
Can't say I'm all that impressed. Would have hated to pay the full price. The column titles are not even on one line when starting the app. Not particularly intuitive when creating flashcards, moving words to learned words or need to study. The notes section is bugged. It only shows the top half of the word. Unable to click on. Considering this is a premium app, the interface is substandard. Back to my Flashcard app and a trusty paper dictionary.
