Enhanced Controller for Onkyo and Pioneer

I'm not sure I have words...I've had apps for this and other receivers. Calling those other apps "apps" does a dis-service to this beauty. I've only played with it for 5 minutes, and I want to hug the developer. 10 stars out of 5!

Like others have said, this is an improvement over the branded app I went looking for a specific solution but haven't fond it on your app yet. I have 2 onkyo receivers (one in the basement that uses main zone for inside and zone 2 for outside speakers) (other receiver is family room for main and zone 2 is kitchen speakers) looking for a way to play same source across all 4 "zones" seems i can group the 2 main zones bit don't see zone 2 available to group. Is this possible or in premium ver

What a phenomenal improvement over the app that Onkyo/Pioneer supplies! Thank you so much for putting in the time and effort to do this. So intuitive and useful! I found this because I was monkeying around with the Github repo you forked as the basis of this app. One unfortunate problem I am having with the app is that the Setup (gear) button does nothing. The "Quick menu" (three lines) button works as expected and brings up on-screen menu just fine. But, Setup does nothing from any state of the receiver or the app. Would love to see this fixed. Let me know how I can help (I am not familiar with Android development, but I can test!)

Can i donate to you? This is the best app to control an Onkyo reciever. In the Onkyo remote and app, if you want to change the output type(Direct, Stereo, Dolby surround etc etc) you'd have to cycle through all the options. That's 10+ options. And if you accidentally skip over the desired you'd have do the entire thing again. This app gives you the list of all the possible output types and you just click to chose. Makes life so much easier. 10 stars

I love the slick interface. I prefer it over the stock Integra remote app. Though I have a DTR-70.4 and I can't control all 4 zones; only the main zone shows up in the side menu and is selectable. Also, I can't access Pandora, Spotify, or my home network hard drive. Not sure if these are bugs or if I'm missing a setting.

I have used onkyo's app for years and always hated it. This one worked straight away and even handles zone 2 audio for my new pioneer elite 105. Outstanding!

Perfect addition to my stereo receiver. Great work, dev! I wanted to ask if it is possible to add a notification tray on the phone with currently playing song and controls, this the only feature that ia really missing at this point. This and adding songs from multiple folders to a queu which maybe isn't possible.

What a relief to see an app that is fully functional and works great with my Integra receiver. Awesome replacement to the ever buggy Onkyo app I was using earlier which stopped working on Andriod 10 device. I would like to see a few more preset listening modes including THX that Integra receiver support. Thank you Mikhail for what you have done and your time. I have sent a request to add a few more preset listening modes.

This app makes a phenomenal difference in the usage of Onkyo receivers. The default app by Onkyo is almost comical in its lack of usability, while this app is clearly designed, easy-to-use, and very helpful especially in two zone setups. One minor enhancement request for this app would be to support changing FM tuner stations. Thanks to the app creator!

After earlier issues getting receiver connected I decided to try again four months later. Glad I did... I was able to get my 4 yr old Onkyo connected to the app and it is working perfectly. Love how you can control so many aspects of the receiver from my phone.

Great App! So much better than the Onkyo app. Thank you so much! Update 07/15/2020: no longer connects to the receiver and app freezes :( Update 07/23/20: Follows the recommendation, I didn't do a full reset but power cycled the receiver and now works. Thank you for the great communication.

Great app, use it all day. It would be helpful for me if a few functions for zone 1 and 2 were to work simultaneously. Features such as volume, mute and on / off. (It is not possible to make a group of zone 1 and 2)

Won't connect to my onkyo receiver, it sees it but, when selected won't connect. Onkyo TX-NR828. Seems to have worked better for the last few months but now it won't take the receiver out of standby.

Comparing with the garbage application which Onkyo/Pioneer is giving to the customers, this app is awesome. Thanks for the time and effort. I was about to send back my stereo but this all just works like a charm.

I finally got my receiver to link up. Is there a way to get my cd player to connect as well? I can control the volume, but I can't stop, play or skip songs. If I could figure out how to get the app to connect to the Onkyo CD player this would be 5 stars.

Works well even with a quite old Onkyo TX-8050. Functionality is the same as in the native app, but I like this app for UI design and flexibility. Thanks!

Works great on my Pioneer SC-LX701 receiver! Pioneer has not update their official app in years and their app no longer works on Android 9 or higher. But this app seems to support all the major functions and zones! Thank you soooo much!

Just excellent! Really. Full control of my Onkyo TX-NR777 via wifi. It also controls a 2 gig usb connected ssd with my flac collection of 9000 songs. Always connects. Smooth as silk.

Great app that works better than the official one. Lets you enter the IP address, so you can find the amp even om a different subnet. Very friendly and fast response from the developer, glad I could help by providing some information from the logs.

Great app, but is it possible to connect 2 different receivers on the same app? I have 1 for upstairs and one for downstairs but can't seem to add another device.

Trying to connect to Onkyo 929. When clicking connect it asks for address? What does that mean? Thanks. The Onkyo remote app stopped connecting months ago.
