Enjoy Sudoku

I've used this app for years and it's by far my favorite. The best things about it in my opinion is the hint system that explains what it's doing, the tutorials, plentiful examples for various techniques, and the massive amount of difficulty levels– allowing you to very gradually increase the difficulty and learn as you go. The only thing I think it could improve is the aesthetics, but I'd much rather have a functional app first than a pretty one

Getting started learning to solve Sudoku's, I found this app. The UI seems a bit outdated, but the functionality is beyond the other apps I've tried and the random puzzles have a higher quality. The tutorials and learning features have been hugely helpful. The coloring mode is really useful too, missing in other apps. It hasn't been updated since 2015, but I'm not sure that it even needs to be.

It's not the prettiest app, and hasn't been updated since 2015, but it's the best Sudoku by far. Pencil options, new daily puzzles, hints and auto solver even for user-entered games (like one you found in the paper or something), tons of features, difficulty levels, and even training. If you want to learn how to use a Sashimi X-wing to solve puzzles, this app will tell you. Though I still don't understand it :-D. Definitely worth paying for. Also, no ads!

Used to really love this app. It hasn't been updated in almost 5 years, so it looks like it's been abandoned. With my Pixel 4 XL, the game has started ghost-touching cells with random numbers. I won't even have my fingers near the screen and numbers will suddenly appear. Also, there's now a large black bar across the bottom of the scrt, preventing the app from being viewed in full screen. It's a shame, really. I've been using this app since 2014. Looks like I'll need to move on.

I first bought this game a few years ago. I just installed it again after not playing for quite a while and remember why I always liked this app. The auto pencil leaves you to focus on the thinking without the "admin". There are so many difficulty levels to suit skill or mood. This time around I'm focusing on getting a better understanding of the patterns that goes beyond just learning how to spot and solve them. I couldn't do that without the hints and tutorial.

The all round best sudoku app, and has been for years. It hasn't been updated for years because it hasn't needed to be. If you want intuitive play, granular choices of difficulty, excellent tutorials for techniques from absolute beginner through to prodigy, and well thought out options for how hints (they start vague and get more specific if you need more help), pencil marks and automatic behaviour (eg automatic removal of pencil marks) are managed, stop looking. You've found the sudoku grail.

I believe this is the best Sudoku app for learning and playing, and well worth the $. I like the clean and simple user interface and the ability to turn assisting features on and off. It also helps you learn by giving you hints that first identify the pattern you should look for and linking to a detailed explanation of the logic behind that pattern, then giving you the next step if you ask for it. You can also key in your own puzzles and it will provide hints to solving those.

This is by far my favorite sudoku app. Great interface and I love the ability to select a particular number and then every cell I tap is filled in with that number (or pencil number). The hints are great. The teaching of what the next move to make is absolutely amazing. I enjoy seeing my time compared to others. Lots of difficulty levels. Great job.

I've played this Sudoku for years on the iPad. When i switched to Android, I tried most of the top rated apps on the Play Store and found none that I liked better. The best part of this app may be the hints feature which doesn't just blindly give you the answer but actually teaches you how to solve it. Note that the screenshots don't show the split keypad (for entering digits & pencil marks), but it is there, at least on my tablet -- a feature sadly missing from most other apps.

Best sudoku app in the world for those that want to get better. The top levels are harder than any others, and they have an amazing progressive hint system to guide folks through finding patterns to make practice dress and learning new techniques if you are unfamiliar with the patterns - from simple patterns (on easier puzzles) to incredibly complex ones (on the hardest puzzles). Truly amazing

Used this app many years then got new phone and it didn't work 😡. Got my tech guy to make it work. Meanwhile I downloaded about 6 others and everyone had something I was used to missing. One even stopped the game if you made 4 errors. Why? This app has font choices as well as themes to help see better if you have cateracts. I'm 75 yrs old. U can even adjust the pencil size numbers. Excellent for older people.

I have used this app nightly for years but after wiping my phone, I checked out all the latest (and much prettier) sudoku apps only to discover they are all *significantly* inferior to this one. This app has slowly taught me how to play at an advanced level, ranking together puzzles that require the same advanced techniques to solve so that you eventually become proficient at them by playing the same level over and over. I never spend money on apps but this one is worth it.

I've owned this for YEARS! First purchased on my iPhone/iPad; really didn't mind repurchading for my Galaxy. It is the BEST sudoku game, bar none. I think it's the only one with explanations and tutorials for all the different solving strategies (BUG, X-Wing, Chain of Pairs, etc.). It has a TON of levels so it's useful to beginners as well as Mensa players. Highly recommend

By far the best way to play Sudoku and extremely worth it to not be disturbed by Ads. It has all the advanced options you need for when the solving logic becomes difficult and when you get stuck it gives hints to the logic strategy to use instead of just revealing a specific cell and spoiling the logic. Highly recommended to anyone that loves or wants to learn Sudoko.

Has been a wonderful nonstop companion for years. Now defunct? I will happily upgrade this review to 5 stars if the server starts working again (it's been down for several days now) Without the server you have a long delay and then you rely on created-in-the-moment puzzles with no time stats. Very dissatisfying...

The absolute best sudoku app. It probably needs an update to integrate better with newer Android features, but it still works absolutely fine, and, as the recent server outage and subsequent recovery proves, it is still being monitored at least!

Best sudoku app. Granular difficulty, properly made puzzles, extensive training in solving techniques, from beginning to advanced, endlessly new puzzles even if offline. Biggest downfall is UI and lack of updates, but everything else more than makes up for it. Can't recommend highly enough

Something has happened to the colors being used. They went to all black. You no longer can distinguish between the numbers installed by the machine and those that the individual enters. Quit playing - to frustrating.

I really wish this app worked. I've been playing this since there was a free version. The pencil feature is great, the maps have different difficulties, and daily challenges. Unfortunately these things I can't get access to because the app doesn't seem compatible with my device.

This is the perfect app for anyone who enjoys Sudoku. You can play limitless, different games at a wide variety of skill levels, and for those just starting out the app offers clear, concise, easy-to-understand lessons. In the humble opinion of this Sudoku addict, there's no better app.

One of the OG games I put on my first smart phone that has consistently been on every smart phone I have had since. What makes this app stand out from all the other sudoku apps is the plethora of difficulty levels you can choose from. I love it!!

my absolute favorite sudoku app. I just switched to android from ios and I was relieved to find an android version. it is not as full-featured as ios (no dailies or uploading your own puzzles, and some other things) but everything I love about the interface and options is there. would love a refresh.

Best Sudoku app out there by far. Tutorials, different techniques to learn, beginner friendly, easy to use, tons of different difficulties, simple graphics and the list goes on. Amazing app.

Always enjoyed the simple controls and the puzzle difficulty is spot on. I also appreciate the hint functionality that teaches you what to look for next time. Great game.

I love this sudoku. I have not found a better one out there. It has multiple skill levels as well as a check option, a hint option and a fill one square option. I never get tired of it=)

The best most intuitive and comfortable sudoku game I can find. I have played well over 1200 games and still going strong. The numbers are easy to reach and being able to select a number before you hit the square is a good addition. 5 out of 5

The only complaint I have is that the difficulty levels are sometimes inconsistent. Sometimes a high difficulty game is trivially easy, and sometimes a low difficulty game is incredibly complicated.

Simply the best sudoku app out there and I've tried a lot. In game tutorials and hints telling you the techniques to use to solve. For beginners to very advanced players and easy to use colouring for advanced solving techniques.
