Map is 50 pixels high - cannot find a way to locate where my car is. Search time filter resets after going back - need to fill in all data back again manually. Top-right filters load for 2-3s just showing options, something network requests shouldn't be made for. And I thought Co-wheels was rusty.
Easy and convenient to reserve a vehicle and start and end the booking with just your phone. Only improvements I'd suggest would be to be able to compare prices of different vehicles on the same screen without having to tap on each one to view details, and an ability to upload photos of any pre-existing damage directly to the app without having to call support.
Since about 2 months the app started acting up. First, it was crashing when trying to log in the app. Second, after reinstalled it recently when trying to choose the area/county or whatever in the UK it does not show me the drop list. It only does so for the US and Ireland. This is just ridiculous. Would you be kind to mend this app as soon as possible? Thank you.
Initially had given 5 stars. but after using it for a month or so have realized the service is quite horrible. Firstly the competition such as zipcar provides transparent pricing and no extra charges for mileage. works out to be much cheaper. secondly on two occasions the car just didnt respond to the membership card. i was unable to use the car on one of those occasions as the car just didnt start. even customer support was unable to help
I've recently signed up to the club and so far I'm happy with the app. I've done 2 bookings with no issues. It's very easy to search for vehicles, see where they are and book them. When you book it shows how much it will cost, so it's easy to control your expenses. I like that I can book any vehicle available in the country, which is very useful when travelling. I like it even more that I can choose from a wide range, from small cars to big vans. Useful for leisure, work, or removals.
Search results don't make sense. It does two things wrong: brings up cars that are not available for the time selected and does not bring up cars that are available for the time selected. You can double check by going into a car's schedule and finding when it's available, then search for that time. The car will not show up. Rubbish.
Not so much the app as the organisation behind it. The availability isn't updated as often for the app as for the agents, so you can spend ages selecting cars that show as available just to get a 'cannot create reservation message' when you try to make the booking. The agents in the call centre can see what is and isn't available though, so it's frustrating that app users can't. Also, the discount for normal Enterprise car hire is tiny and only applies to a few very expensive cars.
Avoid ! Avoid! Avoid! . Thursday 10th March 2022. This company does not let you bring the car to Ireland . As a result I incurred a loss of Ferry trip of £ 249.99 and loss of hotel booking of £142.01 , loss of petrol cost £85.00 and being charged £75.00 for a time wasting 8 hours trip , and stressful conversations with unhelpful customer support. Customers are not being made aware that they cannot bring the vehicle to Ireland. Hertz UK is better.
Amazing convenience and brilliant idea, we already love it! Having ditched our car to live in the city centre after parking headaches and too many tickets, this *is* just the ticket!

App worked fine until a week or so ago when it kept crashing. I have tried re-installing the app several times and the same issue keeps occurring. Considering I pay £17 month for full membership, this is absolutely dreadful service as I cannot book any car. I have sent multiple feedback reports and nothing has been done.
App itself is ok. Getting tired of waiting to re-verify my licence every few months though. The service is lackluster when compared to others. Certain cars are only ever available in certain places, and must be returned to their place of origin. Want a fun sporty rental? Sorry, they are only available 40+ minutes across town. I settled for a car that was a 20 minute walk away after a 10 minute subway ride. Clean vehicle, but low on perks such as gps like other services offer in their cars.
App needs a history of your journeys, no way to confirm you've ended the hire after locking the vehicle

Great service, quick and convenient.
Literally had not 1 single problem. Opening my hire car, getting the keys, and going took less time than adjusting my seat, used for a whole weekend, and then was returned easily, and resecured just as easily! Was given my mileage so I knew how much I would be charged, and payment went out first thing the next morning. I couldnt be happier with the service, and will absolutely be using again (have 2rentals booked already!)
Very slow.. the app load very slow, don't know the reason, it's just a basic light weight app. But the server communication takes long time to fetch results and navigate around. And for that matter, they webapp is also very slow. Their rent a car division website load 10x faster. I recently took membership only to found out that the car near me is not available until next month since it is under maintenance.
Very basic app that allows for the booking of cars and other basic functions. The app hasn't been improved in about 5 years. It doesn't allow for submitting incidents, or for the gas cards. Overall it's a poor experience that could use a modern update on features.
Every part of this experience was terrible. Zero stars. They moved my booking to a vehicle 40 minutes away from original. Car was in terrible condition. Damage to just about every panel, damage to one tyre wall, warning and service lights on dashboard, low pressure in one tyre, missing spare wheel. Stained seats with torn carpets. 30 minutes on the phone to confirm that damage was present before me. No dedicated parking, so another 30+ minutes to confirm return to nearby bay. Never again.
Very unreliable: booked Kia Niro twice and both times they cancelled later, leaving me forced to pay more for a comparable car. First time, they told me to book with the main rental arm instead: despite booking on the very edge of the congestion charge zone, they don't register their cars for congestion charge so I received an £80 fine plus £35 admin fee on top. Second time, they tried to replace with a tiny car. Dismissive and total lack of interest in customer service. Zipcar is way better 🖓
Very handy. The search for available cars is very easy to use . Booking a car and viewing the hire cost is super easy . And making adjustments to the booking time or even switching to a different car can be done very simply as long as it is more than five hours ahead of the start time . Superb . The only addition I would like would be a tiny bit more detail about what model a car is, and a link to the owner's manual , providing a chance to familiarise yourself with the controls in advance .
I was charged a late fee despite modifying the booking (to add half an hour) on the app. When querying the charge, I've been told this did not go through and that you recommend modifying the booking over the phone. If this is the case, it should be clearly signposted on the app, or should not be an option on the app. However I have now been charged £50 for a 1.5 hour drive - despite modifying my booking on the app (and never got any notification that it hadn't gone through).
UI is a bit out of date, It is missing a lot features like if the car is currently charging or someone just left it not connected. No history of trips and statistics. No way to chat with support, email support is bad. No easy way to report faults with a car.
Works like it's supposed to, works like it needs to. Does the job. Especially simple and effective when needing to extend the time on reservation when driving. Minimal effort while maintaining focus on the road. Sophisticated in it's simplicity.
My experience using this app has been absolutely flawless. This is my must have app when I need to get a vehicle on short notice anytime of anyday. Theres just one improvement that will make this star shine brighter, and that would be to add a feature were a person can have more then one debit or credit card on file As oppose to just having one. PLEASE ADD THAT FEATURE.
Having used car club multiple times, its a frustrating experience to say the least. Half the time the vehicle you book is not there when you turn up. They seem to have no idea until you phone them despite having gps trackers on the car.
