The original version was much better. I uninstalled the previous app which wasn't any good, and uploaded the new one as at 23/2/19 and it's still awful. If you search for a place that isn't available, it doesn't say that, it just sits there as if you didn't search anything. And everytime you open it, it updates... no choice to update later. And updating takes ages. I'm not sure if I want to go back to paper books or give up on Entertainment Books all together.

Since the app overhaul the app is incredibly slow, often taking minutes just to start. The new user interface is confusing, and the whole thing is a massive step backwards in terms of usability. Unless it improves before next year's subscription, it's unlikely I will renew my subscription. A once good product is now incredibly frustrating to use.

This app is somehow worse than the old version of this app (still available if you also have an iphone). Has to update everytime you load it. The map service often doesn't work. The search function is hard to use. One you select somewhere the voucher redeem function often doesnt appear and when you click on it, it doesn't work and will just freeze the app.

the update is pathetic. search does not work. even if u get something, you cannot get to the redeem option. it was so much better earlier. thankfully still works with iphone. UPDATE: Re installed again, and nothing has changed, and its not just me who has this problem. Search page shows up and is UNRESPONSIVE. Even the search in map view is unresponsive. The page freezes up and does not let you select the search bar to enter any text. I am using it on a Samsung Galaxy S7, this app needs more testing. Please don't screw up the iOS app with a similar untested version.

Down to 1 star now. Since the gee whiz release, the one that means the app can't be moved to the memory card, we also see the return of an appalling feature - as soon as the app is opened, it updates the offers. No checking at all. I DO NOT want to update using mobile data, while I'm looking for a place to have lunch!!!!!! Very very unhappy that this update has turned into bloatware, so cannot be saved to my memory card. Lost all my favourites.

Ever since upgrading to the new format, the app has been counter-intuitive, clumsy and slow. Upgraded to latest version last night as it promised better performance. Now it doesn't load at all. Just sticks on getting latest offers. I gave one star as there is no option for zero stars. Get this sorted. Roll back to old version immediately. Any other response is just arrogance.

Since the update you can't search for anything. You can type in to the search bar but there is no button to push when you are finished. Sometimes certain restaurants disappear (which you have had to try to find in the first place since you can't search for it directly) but then later on they reappear. I wish I'd got the hard copy as it is now too much effort to actually use. I paid too much money for this for it to not work.

I can't even work it properly. Can't find a list of everything in any of the categories. Can't see what I've redeemed. Sure the new pictures look good but if you can't even find anything what's the point? Just hopeless at this stage. Very annoyed. 3/12/18. It's getting better. But still liked the previous one with not comprehend lists of places. The bigger ones take up too munch room. My redeemed stuff seems to be showing now.

Great app but since the November update it's painfully slow and searching is not as easy. Before when you wanted to search you either tap 'near me' and up pops a map with local offers, or you tap 'search icon' and the keyboard appears with a flashing cursor ready to type. Now when you tap on the 'search icon' you either have to tap again on either the invisible search bar (it's hard to find as it's white on the exact same white background which is most of the screen) for the keyboard to slowly appear so you can then begin typing; or tap 'near me' the extra steps make it much slower and less intuitive than it used to be. I wish i hadn't updated it. Also the FAQ page no longer loads from the app and i have to search in google instead of the app. Furthermore since the update it has listed my phone as being 2 users. The concept is great but the execution of the latest update is what makes me downgrade this app.

Terrible update. Don't do it. Takes forever to load, your "new" offers are not new but some how takes ages to load. Doesn't work when you try to redeem vouchers resulting in embarrassment at the counter. You no longer have the ability to edit the redemption amount so you can have an accurate count of how much you have saved. Instead you are told you have saved $$$$! Which has little resemblance to your actual savings. This is an app that makes carrying the entertainment book attractive. It's that bad.

The app updates every time I open it and it takes ages, so you find yourself waiting for the app while someone is waiting for you to pay. It would be better if the app gave you an option to update or not like the previous version did. I also find the search function dreadful. I don't know why it doesn't work but it doesn't find offers I can see are there. Need an update to fix the bugs here please! Also the map view is not up to date for newly opened chain stores.

This app used to work perfectly, New update has broken it completely, it freezes, sometimes I can't swipe but I can change tabs , restarting the app or phone sometimes helps, the search function is extremely laggy , can no longer find where to swap users on different devices... I appreciate that they are trying to make the user experience better but it's clearly failed why not go back to the old version and release this one when it actually works

OMG! How frustrating and unintuitive is this 'new and improved' version. Honestly...trying to search is painful, trying to scroll through with it's stupid new wave like pattern, which then you have to 'load more', you get kicked back to the start when you back out of viewing an option. How do I get the old version back. If they keep this without refining it...I won't be bothered again.

Latest update can't load at all, have to uninstall and install again. Interface loads new deals everytime you turn it on, annoying when you want to search for something. Search function is also many many touch away rather than 1 touch: 1. you touch search tab 2. You touch the search bar and the search bar comes up but can't type anything. 3. You have to touch the space again to be able to start typing What's the point?! The whole point of the app is to SEARCH! Make it 1 touch to search pls

None of the redeem buttons are working!! It comes up with a window saying unable to redeem, you are offline. I am not offline and it does this when I'm perfectly connected to home WiFi as well as on my data, and I have minimum 1gb data. Not sure why I can't use my own vouchers?? Have had this same problem for at least 3 days, have contacted but still not fixed yet?? Also the new app update is the worst as others have stated below, very slow to open, app stops functioning and closes at random time

Great when it's working but since the last update/reset it keeps telling me I can't log in on my phone as I have reached the maximum allowed devices (of which my phone is one!!!) i deactivated all the linked devices through the desktop site to start again and still have the same problem. Sigh. **** Thanks for the email advising it was fixed. I did try calling the 0508 number when realising I had a problem, but it was not answered. Since we often use our app in the weekend, it's a bit poos when that's the time that no one is answering the phone ;)

the app always freezes, so majority of the time you can't redeem your vouchers- app is a waste of money just get the book instead! it also automatically tries to update everytime you open it without permission (which chews through data if your not on wifi), the search feature doesn't work so have to scroll through everything so may aswell just have the book. so many faults with the app

new update is a total disaster imagine standing at the counter to use the voucher.. previously used to take less than 20 seconds to complete the entire process. after update at least 3 minutes. imagine doing that with 10 other people behind you in the queue. search usability is screwed up. have to go through at least 5 clicks before actually getting any results. WHY WHY WHY please bring back the old app..

This updated version is not user friendly at all. Every time the app is opened it is updating or loading "which could take a while" but this happens every time. the search function doesn't work. The old app was simple easy to use and quick. This one is not!

slow and uneasy to use. The 2020 app is no better can not search for specific areas comes up nothing found eventhough there are places in the area. Makes it really had to look up to decide where you would like to go. When do look up a section u get Australia and NZ there is a lot to go through and not sure which country the voucher is in. Would be good to see just your own Region book. Not happy will not buy again

Terrible app. Raised issues with their support, like you can't search for a suburb with the multi city pass, still not fixed after a year. Also just spent some time leaving reviews, after a refresh they are all gone. Overall user experience is just very bad. Not a good replacement for the book. Won't buy again.

The old app was fine. The new app is very slow and I have experienced the app stating it is "offline" several times even when all other web applications work and I have full data signal meaning I have missed several voucher redemptions. I have friends who have experienced the offline issue also.

I have been really frustrated with the app, it is saying it is updating then won't open. I have missed out on using vouchers multiple times in the last month due to the app not opening or loading. Super annoying! It has been worse since I paid the extra to get it for the whole of NZ. Please fix it ASAP!

Every time I open this app it downloads "valuable new offers" that I don't want and never use. There seems no way to turn this off and it means I hold up the queue when I'm trying to pay for restaurant bills using my discounts. Also the search function on the "improved" app is appalling and totally non functioning. I can only use the nearby feature because text search doesn't work. Please fix this ASAP.
