I'm confused: when I want to find an object, the app opens a list of objects for me to choose from. Well, I can't read a list!! And what if I'm in a grocery store and want to find, lets say a cereal among the wide array of boxes on the shelf- how do I do that without the option to open a microphone and speak what I need. Hardly makes sense as a feasible solution for the blind. I installed Envision AI on Android device with Android 12 update.

further improvement will help to enhance this app it's beautiful but some feasibility is missing taking much time to speak out and find out the objects and some other features will added it's better thank you

Great idea! i am passionate about image recognition and this app is a great application for it. I used it for a few minutes and while it was able to detect correctly people jumping with a wakeboard ("seems like people flying in the air") it was not able to detect a simple pizza slice on a plate, it thought it was a cat! Nonetheless, you are always able to teach the algorithm by snapping pictures of what you want and label it. Keep working hard on this guys!!

This app is so awesome! As someone who is completely blind this is such an easy app to use. Works very fast, pretty accurate and offers a variety of tasks for the blind / vision impaired. I'm still learning the ropes but so far very useful. One suggestion would be to add currency ID to let you know its denomination and orientation of the bill (facing up / down back / front of bill)

I am not blind still I use this app for hearing text to speech from PDF. I want to list out few things which I consider as demerits 1. The app doesnt run on the background , when I hear audio from PDF , the app needs to be unlocked, which drains my battery. 2. It is not continuing from where left, always I should remember the page I left and go-to the related page , very annoying. Otherwise this app does what is expected. The above points are very important to any reader..

The app is okay however if you ever try to cancel the service you may have issues. I keep being charged for both a yearly and monthly subscription in spite of canceling them both and requesting a phone call where I explained the issue and was told that I would be refunded and no further charges would be attempted. Another charge was attempted so I'm attempting to reach back out to get this resolved.

The color detection is completely inaccurate, the scene detection could scare someone with often saying that there is a person/child there when there isn't, only the text recognition might be helpful for a visually impaired person. Another over priced technology for visually impaired people that claims a lot, but doesn't have much functionality. There are other Free apos that do these things better. They also have a pair of glasses that cost over 2k more than the tech they run off of.

Very helpful, I use this everyday. I have macular degeneration and without this app I would be unable to deal with my recipes and many of the short posts that I need to read.

i love this app, it just a bit slow to read between paragraphs

It is a neat novilty app which I used to describe machine vision to my friends, but after using it for a bit and getting a your trail will expire in 14 days felt hurtful (and the subscription fee is high by any app standards and the processing power required to run basic tasks does not warrant that price). I kind of wish the app had a basic free tier with more functionality once you became a premium supscriber, because getting kicked off after I was there from the start makes me feel cheated.

It's an interesting app, I never seen one similar before. I mean the scene recognition, the real AI deal. But unfortunately here the accuracy it's very low. This app it's addressed to people with visual disabilities therefore the actual interface is not good! It's necessary a simplified interface, bigger symbols and also voice commands. Good for testing but not quite an useful application.

This app has made my job extremely easy. I have to go different pdf documents and taking notes, different images with text written on them, and invision AI is so smart in managing all this. Life without it looks so difficult. the app is a must for those visually impaired who have to read documents and have to engage in normal meetings etc.

I will hopefully change this soon. But I just downloaded it and before I even got to touch the screen I got hit with 7 notifications, before I could block them. 5 of them stated that I have had the app for the full trial period already. I am not reopening it till I see a response from you. Because this is a big red flag, and I won't have my aid with me all the time.

why should I pay for this? It can't read digital displays. It can't read food labels. it's scene description is somewhat accurate at best. I can read documents with an OCR scanner. seriously, what makes you think that this is worth $200?being free or ad-supported, this is a nice little extra tool to have. but you really didn't make it that clear that this would cost money once the beta ended. now that the beta is over it's hard to justify paying for this. it's nice but it needs a lot of work

Installed 5 minutes ago and got bombarded with notifications, saying my trial had expired, Ben from Germany has done something, at least one notification every 30 seconds. It did not manage to identify anything I pointed it at, but I was so frustrated with the constant notifications I just uninstalled.

the app is totally awesome please keep up the good work I'm really fascinated with its ability to work in Arabic language sometimes while processing the pages with the lack of internet or even when it is poor it skips some pages I guess it is important to give a warning if it happened so that if I'm interested to read the full book with no skips the book i can do it and save my time

It's a wonderful application. the feature that I love most in this application is that I can export the text of any inaccessible pdf that I was not able to read before. It has helped me big time in my studies. It has definitely made my life easier. although its accuracy is not hundred percent but it is much better than the rest of the application that I have used in the past. and I do believe it will improve in time.

please add a toggle option in settings for turning sound / music on and off. it is very difficult to concentrate on text being read when there is music being played from within the app as well.

The Envision app is definately by far the best app for the blind and visually impaired on the market today. It far surpasses all of the other apps for android due to the fact that it is so easy to use, and gives you auditory guidance when lining up the text for reading and so on. As a user of the app myself, I have come to realize just how useful it can really be in so many situations. At the time of this writing, I am on the free trial version of the app, but I can definitely tell you that this app will bring a level of independence that no other app on the market can bring you. For one thing, the accuracy of the scanning of the text is far superior than any other app. The folks at Envision have really thought of everything! Being blind or visually impaired doesn't have to be a prison any longer. Technology has come to the rescue with Envision, a brand new innovation in wearable and handheld technology that uses artificial intelligence to help the blind and visually impaired to navigate in a sighted world. Now for the first time in history, artificial intelligence is able to help the blind and visually impaired get more information from a sighted world by implementing the reading of text based information in real time, or by taking photos and relaying the information through optical character recognition technology that is second to none in the industry. Not only this, but Envision technology can do so much more. You can use it to describe your surroundings, tell you what color something is, identify faces and even read bar codes and identify certain objects. This means that Envision AI technology can actually learn thus making it the one and only technology for the blind and visually impaired that is fully customizable for each person's individual needs. You see, more and more companies are jumping onto the bandwagon by creating their own wearables and such that are designed to improve the lives of those who are sight impaired. However, Envision is the only company that takes it all a step further and really goes out of the way to research and implement new innovative technologies that other companies can only dream about adding to their products. This is because the people behind Envision are serious about their work, and they want to provide a product that not only works, but actually enriches the lives of the blind and visually impaired all around the world. So whether you have the app installed onto your phone, or you're using the new Envision glasses, you're sure to get as much information as possible about your surroundings and other things that you need on a daily basis that will help you work, learn or play. Envision's optical character recognition is far superior than many other apps and devices on the market today. You can read books, magazines and any text on any surface, even from television screens, computer screens and other digital displays. Envision is the only technology that encorporates real-time reading of text so that if you need to read house numbers, signs or anything else immediately, Envision AI can definitely handle it for you with no problem whatsoever. No other device or app can do this. So whether you're in school, working on the job, or whatever, Envision AI can do what you need it to do throughout your entire day without getting tired or giving up on you. You are able to read any printed text, and even some hand written text as well. The goal of Envision is to make blind or visually impaired people as independent as humanly possible without needing any assistance from a real human, but even if that's needed, you can still get human guidance because you can call someone and they're connected directly into the app, or into the glasses and they're seeing exactly what you see, so they can guid you around objects and such. Here again, no other device on the market can even do this. Envision AI is the only product that can provide this to the user. So as you can see, Envision AI is definitely hands down the winner here. It does far more than any other vision system on the market today.

I just tried it today after it updated. I couldn't get it to scan anything when I had Wi-Fi and Network turned off. The App wants an internet connection. So does it work offline? To me the answer is NO. I tried the continues scan and document one. Neither one worked. Tried Hand written for grins. Again no GO. Turned Wi-Fi on so see if I could get it to read US money. Again no go. Didn't have any luck before the update on US money either.

Please add 1 button to start scanning manually also where it stops while scanning. . By that button we will be able to start the scanning from where it is stopped. Suppose we have the pdf of 5 pages. In that document PG NO. 1 and 2 is scanned. PG NO. 4 and 5 is scanned. But PG NO. 3 is not scanned. There should be the button to retry the scanning for the PG NO. 3. It creates problem in large pdf documents. We have to start the scanning of entire document when few pages are not scanned.
