ENYO

ENYO is a tactical roguelike about hook & shield combat.
Grab your hook & shield and descent as Enyo, the greek goddess of war, into an ever changing labyrinth to recover 3 legendary artifacts.

ENYO's gameplay is based on the idea of indirect combat. Enemies can only be defeated by pushing or pulling them into burning lava pits or deadly spiked walls.

While staying accessible through the limited amount of actions a player can take, the core of ENYO are highly tactical turn based battles. To enter the highscore leaderboards for each of the 3 game modes you are tasked to master your weapons and create powerful chain combos through clever maneuvers.

I love simplistic games. I love cartoonish/cubist artstyles. Ergo, I love this game. It's very fun to play, the mechanics are awesome. The enemy varierty is refreshing. And don't get fooled, people, it's extremely difficult. It's one of those games where you make progress after half an hour, and by progress I mean get to the next level. Sometimes with the hook enemies don't get pulled all the way, which I found a bit frustrating, but whatevs. Highly recommend this gem.

Promising, but poorly implemented for small screens. I can't see through my finger to see where I am moving. This could easily be fixed, for example by tapping instead of dragging out by highlighting the row and column as a hint.

This game is fun, I've played it a lot. The only two frustrations I have are, the movement tiles feels slightly too sensitive, and apparently the teleporting enemy negates spike damage when there's a lava pool beneath the spike

Cleared the last level on the free version, enjoyable, an advanced version of chess as each villain as specific moves, ÂŖ2.99 to unlock is too high for me, if it was lower priced then I would had bought it.

Easy to understand while maintaining a great deal of depth, only ads I've seen are optional too. Great game wish more games were like this.

Provide a colorblind setting, too many times I lose because I can't see the arrows.

Top tier single player strategy game. You can pick it up and get going immediately, but right from the start there's captivating challenge and interesting mechanics. No hand holding, and no need for it. And the ads are optional! This is definitely one I can recommend to anyone looking for a quick strategy game.

My only critique is that the game needs a standstill button when you don't want to move. Otherwise it's great game

Not sure if it's a recent thing or not, but now it says when it's jump and when it's stun leap. Thanks

I've played this game for hours, and it was incredibly difficult for me to beat. It took me MANY tries to make it past level 7, even more to consistently reach 8, and I only hit level 9 a few times. I finally reached level 10, failed, and spent many more attempts to get back to that point, which was when I won at last. Overall, a very challenging game with chess-like strategy and unique mechanics, allowing for a good brain workout, and hours of entertainment. Much frustration, but even more fun.

Perfect puzzle game, almost chess like. Do recognize the need from other reviewers for a better explanation of the enemies and their mechanics. But once you are past that learning curve, every enemy has a limited set of moves that you learn to anticipate. Maybe killing off an X amount of each enemy can unlock their tutorial? Others comment on the AI taking multiple moves sound weird to me, I think it is obvious in the game that some enemies (like the minotaur) can stun and make you skip a turn.

The game got me hooked. The graphics are really thought of. I had three major problems: 1. Shield can not be recovered and if there are enemies that can be beaten only using it, it's useless to continue playing. I could even understand if i had to exchabge one heart with a new shield, but this is a bit absurd. 2. This revive idea is great, only that there's no indication that is used. 3.the inability to access help while playing tge game forces one to memorize all the characters and how to beat.

In short, excellent. So far I've only played the free version, and the amount of content and polish here is definitely worth your time. The game has a very chess-like tactical feel to it, with little-to-no RNG influencing your success; you live or die based on your actions. The levels are randomized enough to give each playthrough a different strategy, but not so much as to determine victory. Overall, excellent. Great tactical rogue-like with a unique aesthetic.

Great strategy, but seems to be a bug, or not mentioned in the tutorial. If your skull bar gets emptied (eg: from charging bull), or some other circumstances, and you fill it up and kill some enemies, it'll show as +1 point on the enemy but your overall point count won't increase. Thought I'd mention that because one level I got 7 kills and it didn't count.

It's a good game, hard to master but hard to put down as well. One small problem I've found and there might be a way that I haven't found yet but if you lose your shield and you still have a hoop turtle on the map you'll have no way to kill it?!? Other than that this does what it says on the tin. I haven't progressed far so don't know how many free levels there are yet but it seems there's another 3 options of gameplay if you purchase the game. Learning curve is steeeeeeeeeeep but fun...👍😁

This is a great game. I am adicted to trying to solve the little strategy puzzles it has. The graphics and overall aesthetic go together well. The game is also not too greedy with the ads on the free version. The only things that stop it from a 5 for me arr that it lacks a story (which may be a personal problem) and there is no difference in kind. It is always the very same type of gameplay and unless i need to get past level 10 to see it, there aren't any different settings.

This is a cool and unique strategy game, with good replay value and proper growth of difficulty. BUT it suffers greatly from one bug: The scoring rules are unusual, but after carefully reading the documentation I understand how it is _supposed_ to score. But it is messed up so it often does not award me a point for each _qualifying_ kill. If this gets fixed, it will be 5 stars. A lesser flaw is that enemies standing on the arrow tiles make it impossible to see the arrow direction.

This game is great. It's an interesting ever changing puzzle whose rules can only be discovered by trial and error. And, boy! Will you commit a lot of errors. This engaging roguelike mind boggling game will keep you playing for hours at a time; that is if you don't rage quit first. The art style is amazing, the music and sounds are great, and the controls are easy to understand yet hard to master. It's turn based combat reminds you of chess, but it's much more fun! 10/5 stars.

It is a strategy, puzzle game but still also enjoyable as an arcade game. Pushing your enemies into lava, stunning them etc are much more fun than getting (capturing?) opponent's piece as in chess or checkers. So in Enyo, you aren't racing against time or speedy enemies. You can/should contemplate your next move as much as possible to make sure nothing bad will happen to you in your new position and to eliminate opponents. Levels are well designed, gets incrementally harder. No annoying ads.

This game is fantastic. I'm still just playing the free version (though I plan on upgrading at some point) but it continues to entertain! Challenging, satisfying puzzle gameplay and a unique art style to die for. Plus, there are no intrusive ads - the only times you'll watch any is to get an optional second chance at a level you died on. There are ten floors/levels of content and I am yet to make it past the eighth - though I don't play many puzzle games, so maybe a veteran would do better, ha.

Real enjoyable and makes you think. The artstyle has a charm to it, the controls are pretty simple, it allows you to move around and manipulate enemy positions. Requires you to think of a way to eliminate enemies using lethal environmental hazards with efficiency. They don't explain the enemies since it's the essence of learning by repetition. You can understand what they do once you've fought and experienced enough stuff. Good game~👌 Thank you dev~ have a banana~ 🍌✌ī¸

Rogue-likes in my opinion are best with a simple and versatile system of mechanics. This game is one of those examples. You can only do a handful of moves, yet the variety of enemy types and the terrain itself that is always randomized makes the situations a lot more handleable. The emergent situations and strategies you come across is satisfying to solve and pull off. An instance of less is more.
