System is so buggy and we get less channels on timeshift than before. We got rid of HBO to change to app and price did not go down. New app costs more and we get less for it. I told them I wanted to go back to old equipment and the wouldn't allow. They said they cant fix my channels to match because they can only give what the app providers give. I'm sure it's just what epb chose and they're lying. There is also a bug where history Channel names are in Spanish. They're not trying.
The short version; The channel guide is horrible. I really only watch maybe 20 channels, but I have to scroll through a ba-jillion channels to find what I want to watch. I may return to the service I was using before because of it. The long version; I have concerns about the ATT Now TV service, I'm not sure they will be around much longer. That and other minor concerns sent me looking for another TV service, and since I have EPB I decided to give it a try. The service is good, though for some reason the faces on some programs like the news seem washed out vs switching back and forth to ATT and looking at the same show. My main complaint is the guide. I can not exaggerate how much I despise the guide. Having to scroll through all the channels to find a program is unacceptable. Very few STB's have numeric keypads, and that makes the problem even worse. I will decide over the next couple of days if I can live with this or cancel and return to ATT Now service. EPB, make the program guide so it can be tailored for favorites. Perhaps even different guides for different users in the house. PP4x4
Works good so far. The only thing you guys need to work on across all platforms is flagging what is new and repeat. I have loads of shows that record all because you don't have them flagged like you do on the normal boxes. Causes us to figure out what to watch new and not. It's set on new but you don't have the shows flagged please work on this. also on the firestick the audio on your app gets out of sync sometimes too. That's our only issues so far. Thanks!
Love that they have improved so that you can now fast forward and delete episodes. Would ask for a delete option within the episode so that you don't have to take so many steps to delete. As of now after you watch your episode, you have to pause, go to details, manage recording, scroll to the episode then click delete. also sort option for record date. you have to scroll to bottom for oldest. would be easier if on top.
I'm loving the speed, no boxes, and being able to use my own devices ( down from 4 remotes to just 1). I would like on the guide section or some where in setting fit a place for favorite channels, that way I can go straight to the channels I watch most.....hoping this is addressed soon. Also I can't find the CW shows that I try to record because when I go to the guide and back up it goes from 305 to 307.......No 306?
App is a little clunky to maneuver around. You have to scroll through entire guide to get to specific channel. The biggest issue is that you cannot cast to Chromecast devices. You can use this app with Chromecast with Google TV but not the older Chromecasts. I do have older TV's that aren't "smart". After comparing it to other streaming apps, it appears that app is outputting lower resolution video. Compared several movies from EPB to HBO Max and EPB app runs lower resolution.
Setting up to record something later is a bit confusing. The profiles do not seam to do much since each profile shows everything recorded. It would be nice if they didn't . It would be nice if you can use different sign ins that go with each profile. We have also had several crashes that kicks you to the fire screen.
Inconsistent user interface. Having horrible audio sync issues with on demand video. Long delay on recorded shows actually showing up on the device. Several times the signal glitches so much that a channel is unwatchable. Changing to a different channel and no issues. Using a 2019 Shield Pro, hardware should not be an issue.
It's a joke, I am unable to even try the streaming service without giving up the boxes at my home. Why does it even matter how I consume my TV services?? I've heard enough negative things I'll keep my boxes as long as possible. EPB, let people try the app and report back before forcing this. Also your Apple TV app has a 1.6 rating with a known big that hangs the units. I've been an advocate and champion of your service for many years. It's disappointing.
No channel guide to set up recordings from CP app! I used this feature frequently with the old boxes and DVR manger app when I had forgotten to set the record before I left home. Now all that is available is to set the record when the show is live,that is no help at all if your not available to set the record when the show is on! 10/7/20 update I tried to search for the shows to set the recordings ahead of time,that however did not work. Also shows that were set to record, did not record
It use to be great, but it has problems now. Some days it does not function properly at all. EPB tries to blame it on my WiFi. So if it is my WiFi, why does all my other TV apps work fine?
Few things needed, better way to search shows/movies by genre, channel, etc. Controls to jump forward or backwards like 10 to 30 seconds. Ability to actually manage recordings such as delete. Rating low to get a response. Videos play really well though
We have many buffering problems with this app. It also freezes. I regret not keeping the boxes. We use other apps like Netflix and Hulu and have no problems. This app is the only one with problems.
Just like one of the other complaints, it would not recognize my log in Credentials. Just to make sure I was entering everything correctly, I downloaded one of the other apps and was able to use my log in and password for the E PB app.
Very difficult to use. I expected more considering how expensive it is. Tried watching the Olympics but could not. App suggested to record and watch later, then it refused to allow me to record.
This is a update from 2019 it tells you to check your user and password. I've called about the issue and was told that they didn't know what the issue is with it and to check out the app every so often to see if you can login.
This would be great with Chromecast support.
Don't waste your time going with the streaming service. It is NOT ready. It even keeps getting worse!! I am a long time EPBfi customer and have tried to hang in there, but I just can't anymore. Time to find a better service. Zero or negative stars would be more appropriate.
It's a great app but when I watch my DVR it acts weird. My Samsung tablet won't let me watch without the screen flashing at me.
I can't even log in. I use the same username and password that I use with other websites to watch live television, but it tells me it's incorrect when I try with this app.
This app is useless; it refuses to recognize legitimate sign in credentials. I simply uninstalled and won't reinstall it until reviews indicate that the app is fully operational.
It would not recognize my login, called customer service, had to reset my login and change my password. Still will not work.
App on phone won't let me stream. It's kind of ridiculous considering how expensive it is for a streaming service.
App Messes up a lot of a Firestick would like to know if it has been updated to work with FireTV?
Would not download to my tablet. I could download it to my phone but such a small screen!

Such potential, so glitchy. It is absurd how many times I have to delete a recorded program and watch it on the on demand section. The program will randomly decide to quit working and tell you there is an issue. At that point, the show is lost. Plus you cannot watch live TV unless you are connected to your home wifi. That seriously limits the home app. Also can't download an episode and watch later. Makes it useless when there is no internet. Pretty terrible app.
