ePic Character Generator

Artwork is amazing - perfect for creating characters for visual interactive novels. The packs are not expensive, especially compared to license fees charged by similar services. This service is geared toward those with an investment in their character creations, not casual users who want ads and everything for free. As is industry standard, good artwork that you're allowed to use commercially is not free. UI of app does have room for improvement (ability to zoom in, integrated load recall).

Very good quality and decently realistic appearance of the character. That said, one issue I found is that the complex interface is quite overwhelming and confusing. Also, I don't know what person would spend so much money and a few different clothing options. It is way too expensive, it scares people away, you can't have variety without paying. So quality wise it is incredible, however there are a few issues that make it much more frustrating than enjoyable.

Really nice design interface, though obviously designed for a larger screen than my phone. Trouble is, I cannot seem to find saved files, and if I try to export, the app crashes. I see you're working on an update to fix that; I will come back and adjust rating appropriately if that happens. Until then, it's not much use to me. Also, I've repeatedly logged into the Google Play version with the account created on the web site, but it doesn't show that I have or give me access to a free pack.

The app is great in theory, but definitely has issues. Namely the file that opens when you attempt to view the saved character file...instead it opens Plague inc on my phone. Which is a great game I haven't played in a fair while...but I'd rather have the image I just worked on for my D&D character. Also note, the bitmap file, should you email, send to facebook, ect as a backup...is not supported on ANY program on my PC either. So that's fun.

The tutorial is the best part. It explains things well. Then there is the character packs. It is easy to get a few for free. There is very few options for hair, and not only that, but the hair looks badly photoshopped on, as does some clothing. Honestly, everything should be free if the quality is going to be this low. I used to have this app a year ago, but I redownloaded it today, and there has been no improvement. If the quality improves, maybe I'll give 3 stars. For now it only deserves 1.

It's good but the options that are given are to plain and simple. I would give 5 stars if there were more easily accessed free content. I was looking for a more Scandinavian, ancient Nordic look but am not sure if it is even available. I think a catalog would make this app better but it would be an astonishing app is it offered real world historical garb. I don't want to spend money on something that I don't know what is exactly in it. Maybe have a demo mode with a blank model for a peek at item

ECG has many combinations and details to choose from, there are endless character possibilities for any project! I find that this program is great at keeping me inspired by the layout, choices, colors and ease of use. There are also plenty of great packs to choose from. My favorite quality is that I am able to create cards and tokens out of my images as well. So cool. Not to mention that the support for this app/program is OUTSTANDING!!! 👍👍

I've completed the tutorial twice and was not given a free pack to start with. I've followed on discord and was not given a free pack. I'm not going to waste space for an app that I can't use, and I'm not going to be conned into purchasing the packs when I can't even get the ones for completing the achievements. The only reason I didn't give one star is because, if the app fixes this and does work, it has potential.

I must say, this is one of the easiest character generator. The user interface of ePic Character Generator is easy to understand and follow. I was able to create 2 characters within a few minutes. Though it would have been a lot better, if there were plenty of options for background and to rotate, flip and resize the characters. They should work on this.

Great app! The options are quite complex, haven't seen a similar one on Google Play. I love the realistic visuals. Whenever it comes to creating character images quickly nothing beats ePic. It's easy to use and there are plenty of options for each char to work with.

It's a really high quality character creator, Especially in comparison to other creators on Google Play. I can't seem to claim my free pack from the tutorial no matter what I try. I click on the "Free packs" icon in the lower left only to be taken to the chrome site. If this can be fixed, I'll change my rating.

Everything is behind a paywall and while that's fine enough for some art, usually the art is good and doesn't look like ps2 models pasted onto eachother. If you're going to demand money for a service many other apps provide for free, Just make it so you have to pay for the app and improve the quality. Text is also tiny and impossible to deal with making getting past the loading screen more of a hassel then it should be. Overall not really worth the time or space on any device.

The software is mainly used by role-players to illustrate their player and non-player characters, but don’t have the resources to create or buy many unique characters that fit our needs. The option to save the images as tokens and cards simultaneously even reduces the work needed to use the pictures in a session moments after they’ve been created. The characters can be saved and loaded using our custom file format, which enables an easy way to manage character progression, as changing little details are quick and convenient.

Forsure this app. Is lacking a ton of things. I mean other than what is overly priced for purchasing. Making a Character that has no action or any kind of movement. And the screen the is where you go to the website after you login to get your (free pack) does not even show all of the choices. Its a nice concept that is poorly executed. Definitely Deleting....

I see the devs put alot of love and effort into this app. The artwork is great and varied. This is perfect app for people to visualise their PCs or OCs. Howeve, my only complaint is that this app doesn't seem well suited to a smartphone, the text and controls are too small. If there is a way to adjust this, I havent found it. Otherwise 5 star.

I am a person who works with the creation of characters drawing and sketching for people who have small games and want to develop cool characters. I have a huge notebook with at least 100 characters on paper, despite not knowing anything about how to create a character virtually, this software made it much easier for me to handle the structure of my character creation, I have created 2 and they look excellent.

I just discovered this app and I enjoy it. I would really like to use it for my gaming profiles avatars - maybe further, but I cannot export my work (Samsung Galaxy S10). No PRO yet (should this be it...?). After I finish a project: in Settings, neither Saving a .lbd, nor Exporting a .png doesn't actually place such a file in my device. Thus nothing to Load. I thoroughly searched multiple times. This is my only issue with the app and I will give 5 stars for a fix. It's a keeper for me. Thanks :)

Uninstalled. It's ridiculous how confusing this app is just to simply register and redeem a free credit. It shows that I have one, but after SEVERAL attempts to link my Google Account and log in or to actually use the credit once I have logged in, after apparently linking my account successfully... They don't notify if you did or didn't... I still could not claim any pack. Not worth the trouble. Goodbye.

It took a whole day to download and there was also an additional file. After it downloaded for the whole day, the app didn't even download and it wasn't downloaded on my device. It had been downloading since then it suddenly stopped after it had finished the process (when it reached 100%) and there was nothing wrong, it just stopped. I'm very unsatisfied with this.

It's a handy app, it is nice and simple, maybe a bit too simple, there can be some work done on the layers and how some don't overlap correctly, also maybe more body types can be added besides the skin. I would recommend to make a familiar pack.

It is an excellent tool for anyone who wants to create realistic character avatars in no time. You can simply choose what items to display on your character, save as an image on a preset or transparent background, and use it for anything you would like to.

This is a very interesting application. I am fully satisfied with this app because it works amazingly and very easy to understand. I use this to illustrate my D&D characters and it's really awesome. I love to play game through mobile phone. And I surely say that it's not bore to anyone. I play this game on my free time and this game save my time which is also amazing service. So that I highly recommend this game to everyone. It's really entertaining and very funny.

I wanted to leave a review to sort of balance out the two initial ones that are here. The program is not a scam. I have about 500+ hours invested into it on Steam and I use it for design projects frequently. The content is amazing and very fairly priced for similar programs. All the content packs come with a lot of content and are well worth the price. The Pro version is the $50 priced item and you can still make great characters without it. They'll just have a non-intrusive "Made by Epic" tag by them that you'll probably barely notice.This is not a casual tool. It's an investment for creatives who do a lot of character designs and want a quality generated character. The tutorial comment someone made is a nitpick. It would be nice to skip it but it's short, sweet and to the point. It wets your feet perfectly for using the program and it's done nicely in my opinion.Again though, this is not a casual program for fiddling around with an avatar. It's a full fledged character design suite. I think the 1-star rating was maybe looking for something free and casual to fiddle around and misunderstood the product a little. It's definitely not "a lot" expensive though.Stay awesome ePic team!

It is a very good app I ever seen. I am very happy to use this app. It's very helpfull and easy . I use this to illistrate my D&D characters. It is amazing. I can created characters for my board game project. It saves a lot of time and money. Creating characters is really easy with ePic, and the quality is also very good. I can't wait for more packs to be released. A very Unique and awesome app , easy to use , developers put lot of efforts to make such amazing app. I am giving five star here.

Too limited. Was wanting to use this so I could have art of my Drow character for a D&D campaign i will be playing soon. All the races are locked, and the few that are available, the skin completion is locked, which is not great for players that want to play characters that aren't just white or pale skinned. Even each race has variety in their skin tone. To limit and lock that is upsetting. Also being unable to edit the eye color is not great either.

It is an okay game I love the graphics and everything, but it basically forces you into doing the tutorial and after that it tries to get you to buy one of the expansion packs even though thats not what you wanted to do. I'm sorry if this post is negative, but this app is not for me. For those who love it as I said the graphics are great it gives off a W.O.W feel, but I'm not going to pay to create a character I highly doubt I will use in gameplay.
