Very limited functionality compared to the iOS version. The most egregious missing feature is order entry; not being able to put in orders while rounding without having to interrupt workflow to log into a workstation is limiting patient care. Also missing is the ability to see certain notes (especially event/brief notes) which are often the most important in actively decompensating patients. This version is also missing the very useful and time-saving "jot" feature included in the iOS version.

It is pretty good for basic chart review, but they really REALLY need to get ordering functionality in here. There should not be a difference in iOS vs android in this regard. I know people who are switching to iOS just because they need to place orders on their phones. I don't need to do much ordering now, but I may soon, and I am hoping that this is fixed by then.

Lacks much of the functionality of the iOS version. The camera app remains extremely poor for most shots with any lighting challenges. It is unable to focus on the item of interest, the flash has a delay that is excessive, there is no ability to adjust exposure. Worst than the most rudimentary free camera app. Intramural shots abysmal rendering ENT photos exceedingly difficult and frustrating. Unable to see documentation for any notes other than office visits. Unable to correspond via MyChart

Android needs to add functionality to add orders from phone. Anesthesia interface needs to support OR board, as of right now all you can only see your assigned cases. Both these options are available on the Apple version of the app.

No order entry on Android software, however, this is available for iOS. The absence of this feature for Android renders this app nearly useless as I need to log into a computer for anything more than checking labs or reading notes. Also, I wish there was an improved interface viewing labs where you could view all chemistry related labs in one page instead of seeing a chem panel but having to find another screen to see the magnesium.

Can't put orders like the iPhone version. This is unacceptable. Please fix it and enable this feature in android. It is negatively impacting patient care and thus negatively impacting physician efficiency and billing system. Being able to put orders whithout the need of a workstation is an essential feature to improve patient care, specially in acutely decompensating patients.

Newest update seems only to have forced you to manually choose biometric login every time you open the app(though who could tell from the patch notes that only say "bug fixes"). No longer than you open the app and then fingerprint swipe to login. Now you have to select biometric each item you open it. No significant functional updates in years at this point and still lacking most of the functionality of the iOS version.

Can't write orders in the app (which iPhone users can). One of the most important aspects of the app and all android users cannot use it. Severely hinders patient care when on the go. They need to fix this ASAP.

The iOS version is vastly superior and allows more features with order entry and note writing. This needs the update too!!

What an aweful experience, especially when compared with it's counterpart, canto. This has been terrible for YEARS. No ability to do notes with templates, no ability to view/modify orders, and just a terrible UX overall. Please, for the love of God, fix this app epic.

Functionally inferior to the Apple version of the app. The fact that I can't place orders or see vital signs on this app makes it ridiculous that I have to log into a computer after using my phone. I've been an Android user for years but the frustrating deficiencies of this app is converting me to an Apple/iPhone user.

Useless app when compared to the iOS version. Inability to do things like place orders or do notes really hampers the usefulness of the app.

Let's you log in once and never again. Keeps saying incorrect password even when all the information is correct

Very lacking in any functionality. No improvements in several years of use. They clearly don't care about android, and it shows.

Love the app. Feature friendly with a very easy to use and only partly stripped user interface. Have several ideas for improvements offline if interested in discussing further. For instance, in the chat it would be nice to upload a picture from gallery rather than having to take one in real time. Overall a solid start on what looks to be a heavily used application.

The app gets a 2 * review because it has known issues for a while that aren't fixed when it comes to user interface & functionality compared to the iPhone app. There is no quick link to vitals, so you have to dig through the summary section to assess stability. Certain note types aren't viewable in app. eg. quick notes that often explain what happens overnight/between progress notes. Most damaging tho is still the complete inability to put in orders from your phone. Please get with it, Epic.

As almost everyone is mentioning, no way to put in a "jot" note or modify orders, both of which can be done on the iOS counterpart. Really needs to be updated so that there's parity across platforms. And again as others have noted, very inconvenient to access vital signs -currently a footnote of the summary tab, but should be more prominently featured.

Ridiculous we can't get the same functionality as it's. Can't see vitals place orders... with is the purpose. Just might as well be a view only app. I emailed the owner of Epic Judith Faulkner today to make her aware that Devs refuse to update the Android platform

The app is barely functional. It's useful ok rounds, but sometimes it doesn't update patient information, so you'll have old medicine lists on haiku that is 3-4d behind. Also, the Android version of Haiku lags behind the iOS version by years. You can't look at imaging, you can't put in orders, and you can't edit notes at all (you can only write new ones sans templates). Get the app, but only because it's better than nothing.

This app stops working on Android phones every 2-6 weeks and requires uninstall then reinstall (which is a process that involves hospital IT to also reset permissions). NEEDS better Android stability.

Is it possible to give zero starts? This product is utterly lacking and useless compared to the iPhone version, which allows order entry and even charting. This is what happens when you don't have competition. Unless you have no choice, don't bother with this app because the dhe devs clearly aren't concerned with keeping it current.

Suy. C. Mar 1, 2022

Can't put in orders for the Android app, but order option available for Apple--why the discrepancy? Not all providers like using Apple. Please add the order feature for Android--would make the app much more useful

Vig. R. May 11, 2022

Terrible app. Limited functionality compared to iOS app. Cannot place orders

Sam. A. Jan 28, 2021

In general a reasonable app, but like the desktop version is not intuitive to use. Worse, EPIC *still* has not enabled TIFF and PDF document viewing on android, which has been present on iphone for ages. Greater than 50% of people use Android. this should be a priority. Not having access to scanned documents makes this app relatively useless on android.

Jil. H. Apr 21, 2022

Lack of ordering ability for Android makes this app nearly worthless.

Aar. R. Apr 28, 2021

I agree with the other reviewers - Epic clearly does not care about the Android version of this app. The in-app image viewer was usable with work-arounds, but then simply stopped altogether, so I am no longer able to view radiology images, which was the primary purpose of the app. And now the app simply doesn't work at all, and crashes on log in 100% of the time. This is on a Google phone running the latest version of Android.

You basically have to reinstall it each time to use it. Otherwise you're stuck at the login screen. I nominate this app for Worst Prize.
