They broke stats in Jan 2022, refuse to reply to emails. Weeks have passed with no resolution. Absolutely do not recommend. Edit: After many weeks, finally fixed stats although it still took many days to sort itself out. In the meantime, trying out other apps like JollyTurns and enjoying their advanced features. End result: useful for parking status, weather, lift status early in the day. Still feel rather soured with the whole experience, as the fun part of the stat was down for the majority of my season. This GPS and stats upgrade is a feature that should have been implemented off season, debugged and ready to go.
(update. Upped the rating to two starts as a fix does appear to now access stats. 2 star because the current version remains inferior to prior version.). This is a horrible app and no longer functions well on Android. One cannot access ones stats which for many was a primary reason to have the app. Why anyone would trust this updated version is beyond me. We had no issues with previous version.
4/23/22 Stats are not working again! After not being able to reach my data all season, I made multiple phone calls, and sent emails, - it looks like they finally fixed the app. I would give the app a higher score, but I had multiple poor experiences with customer service trying to resolve this. I am also waiting to see if the app quits working again.
Still broken after the update. My stats for the current 21/22 season are now completely gone! The stats screen only shows last years' season stats for 20/21. It is impressive how useless this developers are. Literally have not been able to fix their app when it only has one simple job to do for the entire season now! Vail resorts is the biggest fail in the ski industry!
Stats worked once a month ago, but now it just spins and never loads. Most important part of the app and it doesn't work... UPDATE: With the app update on Mar 1st, the stats work again, and I can see how many days I rode for the year, etc. Works fine now, so updating from 1 star to 4 stars.
Bad app, GPS is wildly inaccurate (75k vertical in 1 day, really?). Other apps do fine. Font on maps is too small to read in recent update. "Offline maps" still need internet to be accessed. Lift line estimates are very inaccurate, really not much going for this app. Asks me to log on almost every time I open the apps too
good map when it loads, but doesn't hold data offline. when your with limited service, it doesn't load. originally rated as 2 stars, now rating as one star. doesn't load personal stats anymore. Constantly has me sign back in. The app does not save password or email, so you must hand-jam each time. Yes. I checked to see if there was a more recent version of the app. lots of parallels between Vail resorts and the app. dgaf about user experience
I'm new to Epic pass because my local resorts were just acquired by Vail. After I got my pass, I found this app. Awesome! My local resorts were just acquired over the 21/22 season. Epic starts for them during 22/23 season. I assume new resorts will be added to the app for the 22/23 season? As in maps, trail conditions, and whatnot.
I would rank it a 0 if I could. The app for android only kept stats for about a week before it broke again this season. I tried clearing cache uninstalling and reinstalling and the app is still unusable for Android . As much as you charge for Epic passes, you can afford to produce a high quality app.... not some junk that's likely "tested in production" and not very well at that.
text such as lift lines on trail maps is impossible to read. very difficult to find basic info like season closing dates. app constantly freezes and has trouble opening. definitely has potential but needs a lot of work to be useful.
It was working fine before but recently the My Stats section isn't loading and it keeps showing the loading screen. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Edit: they fixed it! Finally! Raising it to a 3 for now. If it sticks MAYBE I will raise the stars further 😉
It isn't reliable most of the time: if there is no new snow, it shows data not available. I haven't been able to display my stats for the past 2-3 weeks. The webcam work though and they're useful! But yeah overall, not worth much, there's still work to do
