EpicWin - RPG style to-do list

Wanted to try it, after finding it in an article in additudemagazine, but Google warns that it's for an old version of Android. So if any developer is still somewhere around, please update. The screen now doesn't fit my phone. Which makes it feel like being on a webpage instead in an app.

Amazing idea, good psychology behind this. I do think there are many ways to improve it, especially for people with adhd. For example, having the quest page be even more spread out/detailed, like showing the time during the day when you plan to do a task. Or when you set a task to repeat, it shows your whole week ahead of you like "this weeks quests". If that makes any sense.

I've looked all over for a life gamification app that has the features I actually want and is easy to use. This is it! It's super simple without having or needing a lot of customization. It has a fun, inspiring style, and lets you see your progress on a pretty map the way you would on an actual adventure game. The only one of its kind I've found that actually feels like a game and not a chore. UPDATE: No longer works on my version of Android, therefore the down-grade to 4 stars.

Like it - but think I found a breaking bug this morning. Giving 1 star to get developer's attention (if they're still around). I had a bunch of daily quests set up, and have been checking them off for a few days. This morning, there was an alert to the tune of "time to plan your day!" I clicked on it, and when the app opened, all the pages just say "Something of NAME" at the top - all my data seems to have been wiped, or is unable to load or something. Anyone else seen this? I couldn't find anything on the web. If the answer is reinstall and set up again, I'm not interested.

I really liked this app, while it worked... The problem it's that at seemingly random intervals the app just completely breaks and you lose everything. All of you quests, all of your objectives, all of your progress. And it's just completely broken from there with the only way to re-setup your character and any to-do items you can remember being to completely uninstall and reinstall the app first. I mean, the whole point of a to do list is to not forget stuff. This app will forget stuff for you.

Great app! This app helps me to motivate, organize & remember things. The irony here is that I struggle to remember what tasks/quests I need to do in the first place. This is the only thing I don't like: Tasks have to be entered manually. It would save so much time if it had a preloaded quest suggestion list. By the time I finish setting up one task I forget what the next one was going to be. Still 5 stars!

This app has a lot of promise, but doesn't quite deliver. Cute concept and animations, but difficult to use. The UI isn't very intuitive, and there's really not a lot of interactivity. All you can do is check things off your list and watch your avatar hit things. There are no negative consequences for something being overdue, and loot doesn't do anything besides fill up a completion list. The BGM and SFX don't work at all.

I like the graphics and the simplicity, but after spending all the time seeing up my tasks and to-dos, the next morning all my data was erased from the app, my progress, my name, my lists, everything. It seems this has happened to many people since early this year. It's a shame, because I was looking forward to using this app, but with this glitch it's more anti-productivity than helpful. They're hasn't been an update since Dec 2014, so it's probably not getting fixed :(

Getting points and unlocking items is a decent motivator. The background music is simple, but appealing. The art style is simple, but appealing. The fact that I am giving four stars is not a discredit to EpicWin. I simply save my fifth star for outstanding excellence. I would like it if assigning points was easier. It's essentially a circle-shaped slider so small, my fingertip covers the whole thing. Also, sometimes the app gives me a notification that I have overdue tasks when I don't.

I really do like the app! It's very easy to use and I am particularly fond of one of the avatar characters being a skeleton. And I also like that you get a different title with each level up. I also like that you can see your past tasks and add them to your current day. And that of you missed something from the day before you can still complete it! A bit more interaction would be cool, if there were maybe monsters to fight or something. Thank you for all your efforts in making this app though!

Does what is says very well. Kind of simple though. Pros: The idea of getting points when completing tasks is great, I feel rewarded. Graphics are cozy and easy to navigate. Lots of options for choosing when a quest repeats. Different stats make the point system fun. Cons: Difficult to scroll sometimes, menu will think I'm trying to open or complete a task when I'm just scrolling. >>>No option to divide quest reward points between two different stats without making two quests.<<< Characters are uninteresting, and could use a lot more customizable options.

When I first found the app, I was super excited. I tried to keep up with it and add more and more tasks to motivate myself. But then it just freaked out one morning and stopped working, and the only way to fix it was to reinstall, which helped delete everything. If it happens again, I'm just done with the app. Edit: A day after having to be reset, a notification popped up. I ignored it. When I went to go in minutes later to see what it was and check off a task, everything was gone. Again. Done.

unfortunately, every time I restart my phone it completely wipes out my entire progress and profile. I have been backing up my data and following instructions to do a reinstall, then to use my backup except the option doesn't exist to restore. if I could be helped with this I'd really appreciate it as I've had to start over multiple times -Update : New phone and some time later, this is working properly again. I'm hoping to get to a point where loot is useful, however.

It does seem to be working thus far for me and is quite fun. It also has a back up option. I've tried that a few times and hopefully it'll work if it all goes wrong. My favourite thing about this is the organiser and even more so once I realised things I didn't do yesterday could just be dragged down to today rather than live forever on that outstanding list repeating once I've done them. We'll see how it goes overall but thus far it's been super useful

Just started using this app and the idea is cool as heck. Though there's... kind of a problem. Which is that the audio doesn't want to work, so it's silent all the time. Even though it might still help on its own I'd really appreciate it if this issue was fixed since sound could improve my experience enormously.

The app has a lot of potential and I like the format. There are some annoying errors on my OG pixel XL - it appears the app/user database gets corrupt if there is a slow internet connection or if the device is disconnected from the internet. Once this happens the old profile can't be loaded again. I have to un install and re install and basically maintain hourly backups and manipulate backup files to keep it working consistently. I've sent a separate email directly to the devs for their thoughts

I really wish this worked I love the app! Unfortunately it's lost all data twice on me. Once on the 2nd day of use (not a huge deal just disappointing) and again after a few days of progress. Makes it far less motivating when all your progress gets totally wiped over and over! Great concept but entirely unreliable :( will change rating if this gets fixed!

(Still no word from Devs) I really like this app BUT... I just lost EVERYTHING!! I restarted the phone and everything is gone!! My whole list, all my loot, my hero, my skills, everything is gone. I didnt realize that restarting my phone would make me lose all of my progress. Please add an auto save feature. Online help is WRONG! And now I cant even start over because it won't let me choose a new hero. I'm sending an email. I'll update my review depending on any response I receive.

Cool concept based on other apps like Habitica. Graphics use 3D polygons. Pros - I venture to say this life app has the best graphics of any like it. Funny items and characters keep it light hearted. Cons - Occasional pop-up ads deliver a slightly annoying experience whereas other life game apps do not have these. Would be nice to have a paid version that has no ads. Ability to edit tasks is a little difficult to do, sometimes moving a task position instead of opening the edit window.

The sound doesn't seem to work on the android version and the developers dont reply to Facebook comments about it. The app itself is fine, although it could use a "quest failed* button so that we dont have to delete a quest or manually change the days it starts as opposed to just knock it away without xp until the next repeat day, which would be a much easier function.

It's a fun way to celebrate your achievements. I have trouble acknowledging the things I complete, but this makes acknowledgement easy and witnessable. I like the avatars and thematics. It's a little stage to learn (not really intuitive at times), but the help document is easy to understand and learn.

I like this app a lot, I love how you can customize the repeat settings for tasks for example: I can have a task repeat automatically every 9 weeks, how else would I easily remember/calculate that? I love the tree Avatar, he kills me. The only thing I'd like is if they gave us some color scheme options for the app or some outfit loot for the characters that we can equip on them.

Best of its kind. I've tried several of the rpg organizers. This one is by far the best. It's simple, has a cool interface. I love how you can assign a specific stats to each task so they improve that certain stat when you complete them. That's a cool feature.

aeesome app iff it wasn't an epic fail! at some day (within my first week) it stops working😭. no content. you have to uninstall and reinstall that app. there is a manual backup button under options, but no restore option😓. so assume that your todo list and progress will randomly vanish. @developers: please notify me when this is either not a beta or not a bug-driven-development aka continuous-release cycle anymore. (also i don't see in the list which "feat" a task is of. should have meaning)

This app has helped me overcome some debilitating anxiety and get so much done! I love that it keeps reminding you even if you swipe away the notifications, so you can't forget like when using a calendar that disappears when you swipe away the notification. Would love a 'cuter' avatar, but that's really the only thing I'd change!

I downloaded all other apps with gamefication tasks based, the system of giving "exp" in this one is by far the best one, i thought it would be just a normal "not much to do" boring one, but as soon i started using and completing quests it showed to be ready entertaining, it's interface is nice and make u want use it (and u won't be a high level so easy)
