No fast forward or rewind button. Unreliable in continuing where I left off. Closed captions turn off and then I have to dig around in the app to turn them back on. It's like the weirdest, laggy, confusing app from the early 2000's. It's like the geocities of video entertainment.
This app is garbage! No individual queues, the "keep watching" section doesn't work at all, and I keep getting a reminder that a new episode is available when there is none. If there were less than one star available, this app would get it hands down. Hire someone who knows how to build a working app.
Downloaded this app on my Google tv. It doesn't work properly you can get into the app. When you try to look at what you wanna watch it glitches out and goes black and all you can see is the side menu.
needs more original shows, has enough for a month or two, then ran out of content. condor, war of the worlds, and from were good. pay via google play for easy cancellation process. no issues with app on tablets.
Has good content but it keeps having issues loading and error messages. I know it is not my internet connection because everywhere streaming service and application works just fine. Kind of useless unless it loads and doesn't have errors...
I just start this app. so I'm not for sure how it is but, in a week or so I should know if it is good grate or A bad app. Will have to get back at you with my findings why 2 stars is for someone as taking the time to think about what is the best way to do a movie app then put it together that is why u give 2 stars I would have done 3. but they asked me to rate it after the frist day at running the app and 30 minutes later . To soon.
Absolutely Ridiculous! This isn't even a real app just extra storage that enables me to cast from my phone! I pay for Epix it shouldn't matter that I'm not paying a ton of extra $ toward a cable provider! I can't access Epix the channel I pay for, why? No other movie streaming networks I pay for do this, why you? All I want is a complete app that I don't have to plug my phone in to use... I just want access to what I pay for...is that asking too much ? Worst movie app EVER! FIX THIS PLEASE
You can't use the app to connect to the TV it just keeps saying the code they sent isn't the code I typed in. When you ask for help it says you must have timed out The code expires in an hour...I tried every few minutes since I received it.
. I'm able to connect with my Roku TV with the tv provider on epix streaming but I don't get the promotional offer that I paid for. When I try to connect with epix now I can't connect my roku tv. So its backwards.I've done everything they suggested. It's aggravating.. epix now says no tv package but it's the package you pay for... revamp it epix
Free trial isn't a free trial. They charged a dollar for the "free" trial. I've had free trials that I kept and did not kept. This is the first that charges you before the trial ends.
God forbid you sign up for the trial on Roku then try to pay using Google play. Even with the same email your accounts won't connect. Just wasted 6 bucks.
All of the Films and Series' were Top Quality for Small Device's and Laptop Performance and Picture! I am a Captain America Fan and Comics too! Gundam should be added.
I canceled my subscription to epics and stars 4 times and they still keep charging me. This is either a scam scam or someone isn't paying attention to their customers
Some good content app Google TV not so great clunky hard to find things that are not even old let alone the massive amount of content they do have you can't find in the app unless you search on the TV or big negative if you do not have a smart TV with the ability to install newer apps you cannot use epics now with Comcast and I believe other providers I've read Maybe you can cast it but I prefer it all to just work but they all prefer money so check that trade or use in prime on deal days
Everyone of these movie apps almost got some of the same similar movies like you don't know which one to pick you don't want to pick up because you know , 💵💵💵💵💵
Couldn't get this app to work on any of my devices. Uninstalled and unsubscribed. Very disappointing.
It won't play anything on my phone I try to watch it on my tv it keeps saying activate the code on my mobile and I did still nothing so what the hell I'm canceling this s***
I love ❤️ the great movies 🎬 being presented in Epix Now. But, I think Epix Now should show more great classic movies and TV shows.
I paid for a subscription, yet I can't use this app at all. Every time I click on a movie, nothing will load. How do I fix this issue?
I want epic on TV, not on phone. Won't help. Already paying for something I don't have. Why does it have to be so difficult
Programming is good, but the app is a nuisance. I've only watched Pennyworth and here are all the issues: The subtitles are full of errors, you can't skip through recaps or the show intro, and when you want to resume watching it sends you back to the start of the show. Lastly, there's no video preview when fast-forwarding and rewinding. I'm having these issues with my phone app and Fire Cube app. Epix needs to catch up with modern times with all their functions.
Very problematic: I set it to do downloads overnite and none did. It said that it wasn't connected to the internet even though it was. It stops frequently while watching and after it has tried to restart, then most of the time says that something went wrong. I have to start again. Sometimes it will start at the right place and sometimes not. It often takes twice as long to watch a video as the listed time. Other video apps work well; this one does not.
Review edited: It would appear that the Oct 29 update has fixed most of the issues with latency regarding video and audio glitches. The app runs much better both on my phone and on the new Chromecast with Google TV. There are 2 things left, keeping it from a 5 star rating... 1. When first starting a stream for a movie or show, the stream quality starts low, and then "glitches" after about 5 or 10 seconds as it catches up to full HD. Once it catches up to the stream quality, it seems fine, so mostly an annoyance on this one. 2. When starting to watch a movie or show on my phone, and then pausing and resuming on my Chromecast, it doesn't appear to know the point in the stream where it was paused on the first device. It does know that it's been started as it provides the "resume" option on the second device, but it doesn't pick up where I left off. Other than those 2 things, the app is working fine, and the content on EPIX is great.
Worst App Ever. (Sony Smart TV) Every time we paused a show, we had to back all the way out, come back in, resume. Then, it stopped working altogether. Had to uninstall app, reinstall it, then do the "run to the computer, log in, enter the six digit code" dance. I'll also say that the selection, many which are duplicated on Hulu, Netflix, and Disney+, isn't worth the price. Didn't even finish the free trial. We're done with it.
It's ok, except search options are a nightmare. You have to search through, basically the entire collection, there's no filter for searching and there's no search option, period. You watch an ad, if you want to rewind back your program, even just a second over that ad you just watched, you'll have to watch it all over again. Overall, not enough interesting content to make me want to pay money for the product.
I downloaded this app today I've been watching it for about an hour and a half and it has frozen at least 9 times. The movie isn't even over.. I have the highest data plan (1tb) My cable company provides, so I know for a fact it's not that. The app has tok many glitches!! If it wasn't for that I would say it was a pretty cool app!! But I cant deal with the freezing images!!
Unbelievably frustrating... I was giving it shot because the list of available titles is decent; however, I couldn't even start the trial, it kept declining my cards, all of them. So obviously there's an issue with your ridiculous app, so I'm not wasting any more time in it, and hope others don't either. Thanks for nothing Epix, I'm sticking to the pros (HBO, SHO)
I was excited to see the new War of the Worlds and was forced to install the app because EPIX lacks the ability to stream in the browser?? This app is broken, seriously I've never come across a worse app for media, It constantly says there is no connection when there is, video just stops and app has to be force stopped and reloaded and then reloaded two more times because it says there is no internet connection. OK, fine.. shortcomings are what they are, I'll deal with it. That was until I realized the selections they have, I literally can get the same content for free on a roku or stream online free. I've used home wifi, work wifi, cellular. same results. I won't recommend this to anyone, can't do that to anyone.
Great content I'm only hear because they have the exclusive rights to Bumpy Johnson series. App needs work I don't like the fact CC is on by default. Also, I can't tap the left or right side of the screen to go a few seconds back/forward like with Netflix. U.I. for Netflix is much better. Also, won't cast on my Samsung S8+. I have to use the smart view feature which is annoying.
Why do all the streaming apps have terrible playback controls for Android TV? This one is the worst. Forget trying to navigate the video, if you try to rewind ⏪ there is no preview so you have to guess and you can only rewind once per video because it always goes back to the place you rewinded to the first time, and the time stamp shows you were at the same place you were before you rewinded. That's not all but I'm tired of explaining. Update: still sucks.
