Works pretty well but no features at all. It takes over the screen and shows the rear camera only. Takes a few seconds and then connects to computer with minimal fuss. There is no way that I can see to orient the video or change to front facing camera. That being said the video works reasonably well with zoom on mac without any configuration functionality
Mac Book & Android Phone setup. The image is stuck inverted at 180. From the website they link to the free version in play store. I dont see any kind of controls either on phone or macos or how to upgrade to pro. Anyway, I can't test the paid version to see if it's any better. So what can I say, even if it's cheap, it does not seem to work well for my setup.
The concept is dope however it's missing the 3 option to switch from the back camera to the front camera and the mirror option and the light option. Also I can't seems to get my cellphone microphone to work with it either. I'm was able to connect the camera with OBS but not the microphone. There is also a slight delay and visual distortion that occurs whenever the camera is moved or the peraon moves thats in the camera shot. Is there any updates or advice that would help to fix these issues?
I tried to used it by both the methods with usb and my phone WiFi(connected the PC also to this) but it doesn't work either way. It didn't even recognised the usb or wifi. Although ZOOM recognise epoccam in its cameras list. But can't connect with my phone. It just keeps showing a blank screen. DISAPPOINTED. DroidCam is far better than this camera CONNECTS & WORKS! EpocCam is just a WASTE of time. Why did you create a app that doesn't work at all. If I could then I would have given zero star.
Not bad. It did take me 2-3 weeks of investigating and prodding and reinstalling to get it going. It's great when it works but it does occasionally stop halfway through a class and I have to reset it. It also does not have the front facing camera feature it claims to have.
Lags when it does work and the rest of the time it gives horrible bars on the video. Not sure why or what they are or how to fix them. And Microsoft offers almost no support for it, since it is supposed to already come with drivers that install when you first plug it in.
Worked once and after that it always got stuck on "Searching for server". I wasn't able to access any settings to try and fix anything and I found that frustrating. Whether my phone was connected to the PC via a cable or not made no difference.
I have Android 9 & Windows 10. I downloaded as per instructions. The phone app just won't connect to the Server so gave up after a few attempts & uninstalled. On your website it appears that most features are only compatible with ios so it doesn't seem appropriate for me to continue.
Paid for upgrade to 1080p version. Quality like an enlarged version of 480p and focussing rubbish. Lighting is ok. No control settings as far as I can see . Pixel 2 has an amazing camera which is not utilised. Set up ok but takes a few goes to get it to connect.
If you are using an Android phone, prepare to be bitterly disappointed with this app. IPhone works well because of the USB connection, but it is Wifi only for Android, with absolutely no way to configure and troubleshoot connection issues. Avoid like the plague.
Was trying to use this as a document camera to teach online. Picture is always blurry, no matter how far camera is from page. No instructions on how to set the focus and no response from customer service for more than a week. Same with the Pro version.
The Free version does not convince me to buy the Pro version. Although Zoom recognised EpocCam in its camera listing it could not render the Video. Whatever resolution it was sending was out of focus. could not get camera to zoom in or out. I understand the free version is without sound but there are enough negatives that I will not be buying the pro version. Used Win 10 PC and Moto G5S. I suggest the developer puts full features on the free version for a limited time so we can see what we are buying.
It does what it's supposed to do. One warning though, if you are using it on mobile network and trying to connect with other devices then it won't work. You will need an broad/fibre connection
Inconsistent. When it works its great, but be prepared to restart everything and have a good amount of time troublshooting it every time. Also crashes and disconnects.
I used to really love this app for the quality of video it allowed from my Samsung note phones for streaming. but up until lately I get unverified signature from windows 10 on the drivers and can't use it as a Webcam. I may update if there's a fix unless I find a better solution...
Wanted to use this as a webcam for teaching while the schools are closed. This was the worst. Did not work most of the time and crashed/ locked up my computer three times where I had to restart. Got rid of it. Now I have iVCam which works great. I would recommend trying It instead. You hook it up via USB and it has not failed me yet. I probably will get the real webcam I ordered in the mail by next year .....
Did not work for me at all. Tried to connect Android to MacBook, which is probably not the most common combination. Installed everything, same wifi, connected by USB too, but no signs of connection besides messages on MacBook that EpocCam disconnected after 0 seconds.
I installed the app but I can't see any options on right or in the left and if I connect through wifi it is very worse. Pls guide. How should we connect through USB. I'm using a Mac os and I have samsung note 9.
The most consistent thing about this app is the fact that everytime I open it after my first successful attempt. It crashes. It crashes. And did I mention it crashes
Does not work with an Android phone, I was able to connect the phone and PC only for the first time. On later attempts, only a blank screen was there in it's viewer.
I was hoping to use this for a classroom setup, but i can't get the camera to focus at all unless I'm less than 6" from the document I'm trying to project. That's fine, if I only want to show part of it, I guess, but it just doesn't cut it for my needs.
Not able to switch front and back cameras. Lot of trouble getting it to work. Do not see any control buttons in the viewer.
Im not able to flip my camera nor change what back camera I want to use. It also seems like it only works if I plug in my phone to the computer. When I use the app on my laptop for obs, it freezes the portion of the camera that I hide from the screen. It's a big downgradr from what it was a year ago. Maked me not convinced to buy the premuim one...
Constantly freezing. I use this app as a document camera linked to my zoom and the screen freezes, glitches, goes green, or turns off.
App on my Android 10 phone can't find the server on my Windows 10 2004 laptop via the WiFi network they're both on. I have no connection issue with similar apps (DroidCam, iVCam).
This app is a joke. didn't worked I've waited almost 15 minutes for it to connect my pc but it didn't. Also tried multiple options using data cable, restarting the app but no luck. Developers need to fix this app
First I downloaded this app because I needed a webcam and the webcam I had was old. And I started googling software and I found this app. It works with my Mac Mini 2009 and it runs Mac OS X 10.11.6 and it was completely compatible with this operating system. I recommend downloading this app if you really need a webcam for your zoom meetings. I hope you enjoy this app. You have to download a driver in your computer. Make sure it's compatible. Stay safe!!
It simply doesn't work, can't have the USB connection, there's no button on the interface, only wifi. and it's so slow that you get one frame, the first one and then nothing. Maybe it used to work some years ago, but nope. I also tried to pro version, same issue (I uninstalled it 2 minutes after so I was able to get a refund)
