Obligatory Job Description: Paramedic. Finding apps to use in the field that give me instant results for med interactions is literally vital. Epocrates was my favorite! However, for almost 2 months, the app opens, freezes on the home page, and then I have to force close it. What was once my favorite work app is now a blob on my homescreen. Fix the issue and it's 5 stars from me!
Unusable now. When opening it either crashes or forces a latest news page and freezes. I'd you want to open a new account, it asks you to choose a specialty from a set list but throws an error saying please enter a numeric value. Uninstalled, which is sad because I enjoyed using this for so long.
Update problems. After the update the app kept freezing and I contacted the developer with no response. I love this app and so I uninstalled and reinstalled which worked, but I lost all my favorites. It would be nice if our favorites were saved when reinstalling.
App often freezes as soon as I open it. Deleting and reinstalling the app didn't resolve the issue. Not very useful when I'm trying to look up something real quick during rounds. What a shame.
I can't create an account to login because when it gets to "what is your specialty" and I click anything, it gives me an error message saying it must be a number. There's no way to choose a number, so I can't create an account. Guess I'll download a different app.
I used to rely on this app to look up dosing but in the past few months the app keeps freezing. This is very unfortunate, causing me to use alternative apps. Hopefully they can fix this issue.
Just upgraded to latest and not greatest, the app stopped working. It starts, I get a blank screen and that's it.
I just installed the app but i am stuck at the specialization option, no mater what i select it shows me error and asks me to enter a number which manual it does not allow me to do. Help needed.
Cannot create account even. App is stuck at select specialty which (needs to be a number) no numbers are available for this selection. Ultimately uninstalled.
No longer can use it! Screen stays frozen and app crashes. Used to be somewhat helpful with intermittent freezes. Now it's no longer useable. I never leave reviews, but had to let people know
This version just freezes and is useless. I've been a longtime epocrates user (circa 2005). I'll try to reinstall but really considering looking for a new app.
It's a shame it can no longer be used outside the United States. Having to go on the website isnt as convenient as the app that can also be used while offline. Hope this can be reconsidered. Or find an alternative.
I can no longer use the app at all since the update. I use to really love how easy it was to use. Now it freezes up everytime I open it.
I am trying to create account, but it asks for Specialty and when I select any option it always returns "Primary Specialty must be a number" and none of the options are number...
Great app for medical professionals. One suggestion is that please Update the UI of app to make it look more modern. Current UI is outdated.

As an NP, I havr used this app for nearly 4 years. 5 stars on content! I have appreciated how up to date the info has been. HOWEVER, following my most recent renewal there are DAILY updates and syncing that take anywhere between 30 min to, currently, an hour and still waiting. Very frustrating. I have been delayed in caring for my patients every single day. If this does not change, I will cancel and find something else.
Since the new upgrade I am no longer able to search for a topic & get any results. It keeps saying that it is updating or syncing but it has been doing this for days. I paid for this app & many of the features are no longer working. I can't search diagnosis to look up treatments. This app is useless to me, how can we fix this. I have even tried restarting my phone & that didn't work. Decided to uninstall the app & reinstalled it, but now it really is not working won't even finish download!
Useful. But have been having an issue for the last week where i can open the app, but it quickly forces me to do a quick shut down because nothing responds on the UI.
Once again no longer working outside US. Pretty cheap shot. Would not support this app.
It used to be great, now it freezes and force me to close, please fix this ASAP!
slow to upload. and apparently there is downloaded data base. so it seems to be cell dependent
I use this quite often. Always has quick and concise answers.
Epocrates is a great quick resource for the bedside. As a student, it's valuable to have an app accessible on my phone and tablet for a quick reference. The layout is easy to navigate and intuitive. I took off a star because I wish it would go into landscape mode on my Samsung S4 tablet.
Do not upgrade, as if you have a choice. Will constantly ask for password and then not load. What once was very good has become a joke. Sad to see it go, but it has become worthless. Decided to try again. It worked! And also has been organized as to my profession's needs. Will see how stable the app is. But for the nonce, looking good.
