Updated with DSM-5 information!!

Recent email from a new user: "I feel like I was cheated by [large/expensive EPPP study materials company]. I spent $1500 and studied for 6 months, only to miss a passing score by a few points. Two of my friends used only your StudyPsych flash cards, which was way cheaper, and both passed in the 80% range. Time for me to follow their lead!"

Offering the most comprehensive mobile psychology study materials, StudyPsych’s EPPP Flash Cards consist of over 2,500 flash cards delineated by all of the content areas covered on the EPPP:

01. Ethics and Professional Issues 02. Diagnosis & Psychopathology 03. Clinical Psychology 04. Learning Theory and Behaviorism 05. Industrial/Organizational Psychology 06. Lifespan Developmental Psychology 07. Neuropsychology & Psychopharmacology 08. Research Design and Statistics 09. Test Construction and Interpretation 10. Social Psychology 11. Intellectual Assessment 12. Community Psychology Plus 1,000 Practice Test Questions

The StudyPsych flash cards were designed by a licensed psychologist who has helped many pass the EPPP, comprehensive exams, and other psychology tests the first time. To make studying both easy and effective, users are provided with multiple useful study options, including:

- Two smart study modes that automatically focus more on the cards you miss: Short-term Goal (Leitner) and a more advanced Spaced Repetition mode

- 3 response levels to indicate whether you don't know a topic, know the basics of a topic, or know a topic well.

- Incredible support! I respond to all questions and feedback as soon as possible. Email me anytime for support: [email protected]

With these flash cards, containing information similar to that found in other much more expensive study materials, you will be well on your way to passing the EPPP the first time!

QUESTION 1: Is the app content updated annually? ANSWER 1: We actually update the app’s content more than annually. However, it would be difficult to notice any significant changes, primarily because not much is added each year. In fact, all the “big guys” only say they update their material annually as a sales gimmick. Don’t take my word for it? Compare 2004 study books (usually free at your school library) to the most recent books and you’ll notice the information is nearly an exact match.

QUESTION 2: Why does this app cost more than other EPPP apps? ANSWER 2: A lot of time and effort was put into making this app, from condensing the most “need-to-know” information to linking the cards to websites. Also, ours is the most comprehensive mobile EPPP app, addressing every content area covered on the actual exam. The amount, quality, and presentation of the content in the others apps pale in comparison.

QUESTION 3: Is this app all I need to pass the EPPP the first time? ANSWER 3: While we are uncomfortable making such assertions, many users who passed the exam have contacted us to tell us our app is all they used to study. With the option to retrieve more information about a particular topic provided on most cards, there really is no need to purchase other study materials! Rather, we recommend concerned users get their hands on an old (free) set of study books and use them alongside our app.

Content seems good, but really disappointed with the design of the app. I've used flash card apps for other things, and this one is hard to navigate, hard to tell what your progress is, and has no way to pick up where you left off. The tutorial helps with the actual flashcards, but is useless for using and managing the decks. I expected more from a paid app with such high reviews

The test is multiple choice but the flashcards don't give options, it just expects you to generate the answer. Testing recall rather than recognition, not helpful

I took lots of practice tests, but I think these cards gave me the extra layer of cognitive flexibility to manage how dissimilar the questions on the actual EPPP were compared to the practice tests.

This app is by far the most comprehensive and relevant to the test. I spent A LOT of money on TSM, AATBS, and Academic Review, and at the end of the day none of the other companies helped me the way this app has in passing the test. After failing to pass using the other companies, I decided to only study using this app.. I passed. I wish I had this app when I first sat for the test. Worth more than the 29.99 you'll pay, especially when you pass.

I found this app superior for general information studying. I used this more than any other study material and passed. Its interface is easier to use than the more expensive guides, and it can be easily used offline, another major advantage. The content is on par with other systems. The only advantage other materials have is through their practice exams.

I am studying for eppp at doctoral level and this app was a great value for 30 dollars. I would highly recommend using the leitner/short term goal setting within the domains as it repeats flash cards you get wrong back within a short time frame so you can master them more effectively all while monitoring yoir progress! I take my test in less than 10 days and I have been using this everyday and recommended it to friends. Way cheaper than so many other study materials out there!

Really, really helpful. One or two minor inaccuracies ("need for affection" instead of "need for affiliation", that kind of thing) on one or two cards... But I've run into that in much more expensive services as well. Overall this is a very helpful, comprehensive, inexpensive way of familiarizing yourself with a lot of material.

This app was extremely helpful for studying at home and on the road... Used it up until 20 min before I took the exam... And I passed with a score over 600

It took me some time to get used to it. It's not for test taking skill building because its format is not multiple choice. But the content is quite thorough.

Very helpful throughout my studying. Helped me to get to know the material better and was comparable to other sources of information. I just passed the EPPP on my first try.

For the money this study aid packs a lot of punch for the buck. I used this app along with other commercially available reading material and practice tests. I spent over 70 hours using this app to study and found it a key part of my preparation for the exam. I would highly recommend this app for anyone taking the EPPP. It was a crucial reason why I passed the exam. Again, you can't beat the price point compared to the absolute price gouging of other materials out there.

Best app ive come across of this nature. So simple yet detailed at the same time. Well worth the money

I found this app to be very helpful for supplementing my studying for the EPPP. The content was accurate and relevant.

Great app. I highly recommend this to assist with studying plus you can take it anywhere

Jim. Jan 3, 2017

Easy to use and packed with great study aids.

Fun easy way to study on the go (e.g, walking into work, on the elevator).

Jul. M. Apr 6, 2018

Many outdated slides

Mel. S. Nov 26, 2014

I used these along with the book series and online eppp tests offered by another test prep. This was great! I could study anywhere. Also, I was studying right around the change over to DSM V and the maker added a free DSM v update which was so helpful. I passed and I attribute it in large part to these flash cards.

I passed the EPPP on my first go this last week, largely thanks to this tool. If you take the time to get to know the application, there is a tremendous amount you can do. I added my own cards, created my own combined decks, used the "more info" links to deepen my understanding, and used the different repetition study methods offered and ended up memorizing the majority of the materials. I also used Taylor Method and AATBS materials, and I found that the materials in this program correlated more to the information actually on the PEPPP and EPPP exams than those in the more expensive test prep materials. I am currently using this tool to prep for my state's ethics and jurisprudence exams by adding more of my own cards. I loved that I could bring it anywhere and it was easy enough to use that my family could easily pick it up and quiz me. I just wish they sold a bare-bones app for my kid to create and make their own flash cards for school. Recomended without reservations. A great app all the way around.

The app may be light on providing source citations, but having taken the EPPP yesterday and using AATBS materials, there is a strong similarity of content and I didn't notice any conflicting information. Building a source database for each card however would be appropriate so that sourced information was properly attributed and available for review. I think that for $30 you are getting a lot of bang for your dollars.

This app allowed me to study easily where ever I wanted. I knew the answers to some of the questions on the test because I had seen it on a flashcard and nowhere else. This app won't substitute for the online tests from the big companies but it was a good supplement and I would use it again. Passed the eppp with a score over 600.

My PhD program's comps are a practice EPPP. I studied almost exclusively from this app... probably only about 20 hours total, and passed (with a 510) on the first try. Thanks so much for the hard work put in to this! I really like the spaced repetition ordering after doing one quick pass through a full deck.

Nic. m. Feb 16, 2014

This app is basically just a collection of srs decks a "psychologist" whipped up. When asked to give examples of the source materials, he was unable or unwilling to reveal any. It's unclear if the app's content is accurate or that test material is adequately covered. The presentation is simple and looks cheap. It generally just doesn't feel like it justifies a $30.00 price tag. I wouldn't recommend this app unless you're super desperate for study materials and have access to absolutely nothing else.

Cry. L. Feb 24, 2013

Excellent app! In the process of studying and was debating spending $100+ on a set of flashcards. Happy I found this app before I spent that much on a set. This app covers all areas, is easy to use, affordable, and I can sneak in study time when I have a few minutes, like waiting at the doctor like I did today :)

Lis. P. Feb 3, 2013

I bought this app after previewing it and reading reviews of the iPhone version. The flash cards are very thorough, well written, and complement my other materials well. I love the way the cards are presented for mastery and feel that I am learning a lot. This app is definitely worth the money, especially when you consider how much the publishing companies charge for their materials!

Jul. H. Sep 2, 2013

I have used a variety of purchased study materials. This app was by far the most cost effective. Its content is comprehensive and its design presents items you miss with greater frequency to improve retention. I recommend its use in combination with solid reading materials, but the app alone may be sufficient for many.

I love the convenience of being able to study everywhere i go. Im also impressed with the accuracy of the content of the flash cards. If i wanted to make an adjustment or a revision to the content i was able to do so. On a few occasions some of the websites the flash cards were linked to were no longer there or were inaccurate. Fortunately, i was able to link another website of my choosing to the card. I wish i had the capability to link pics to the cards. Im a visual learner. Yet, I would buy it again.

I bought this app thinking I'd use it as a tool alongside books, but I've realized it is way better than my books and I can use it anywhere. I can't recommend this more for people studying for the EPPP.
