Very helpful app to quickly see eBay profits for given scenarios. I used to use an Excel file for this but this app is much more convenient. The default is for the eBay fee at 10% but I sell items in a category with higher fees. It would be nice to be able to lock the fee category selection. Sometimes I use the calculator to calculate a higher profit because I forget to change the category.
Could be a great app but the actual fees are always more than what the app shows. I find this is the case factoring in my paying for shipping or the buyer paying. I truly wish they could get a more accurate fee calculation as I always have to add anywhere from .30 for the lowest sale $2.75 + 2.89 shipping to $10+ for my larger sales. Best I can tell is that this doesn't account for fees attached to charging for shipping which can be quite a bit more.. Easy to use but not accurate. :(
Very good app and support is superb. If you click show more with several items sold like 8, it shows total ad fees correct but the rest show up for 1 unit... Not 8. The app overall is very useful and highly recommended! It saves time and frustration of having to Google search for conversions and figure out which rates are most up to date.
Great App!!!! I like it so thought i would pay the developers for their hard work. I know I will use this multiple times daily. Only 1 complaint. ROI is not calculated properly. It needs fixed. Also, it would be nice to have an extended screen vs. a plain black bar where the ads go in the free version.
Not entirely accurate. Default is old 2.9% but it's now 3.122% (they need to update this to current rates) but this app only allows one decimal place in manual mode so calculations end up being off. Also it's annoying how in manual mode, even if you just want to change one setting, like percentage, you still have to fill out all the other forms all over again.
I buy and sell all the time on ebay and everyone of these apps always has something wrong. However, this one is great. It has all the imputs that you would need if your a seller and about time someone finally made it. Best app for sellers. It calculates all the fees and is just so easy to use and so simple to navigate.
Trash app. It's always super late on updates (last one was in August 2021, lol) and, as a result, the app is almost always using outdated numbers. None of the results match my actual fees so this is worse than worthless because it gives you super misleading info. Just use the web based ebay calculators, people.
Brilliant and simple, however developers should consider adding feature like (VAT) when entering cost of item, as mostly when buying from big shop the (VAT) is not included on shelf price. This mean you have to add up manually then enter price in eprofit app. If this feature is available it will make life easier. Will consider buying add free version.
This app is okay. It's not completely accurate. Ebay takes 10.5%. Also when I make changes in manual mode, it never applies. Would be nice to actually be able to rely on these calculations as the whole point is to make things easier. Even with the managed payments checked off, manual mode still does not work.
Does Paypal really charge fee to the seller for an eBay transaction? Does eBay have a monthly fee for the time duration of the ad while the ad is active or until the item is sold? If so, how much or what % does eBay charge for an item that took 5 months to sell at a $100 sales price before any fees or taxes? If the above-mentioned cost items are correct, then they need to be included to calculate the net profit amount. If I am wrong, then correct me by answering the above questions.
Editing: It's good but not accurate for Canada. Ebay charges sales tax on their 10% fee and this is not being calculated by the app. Example: I am in Ontario and I sell a $100 item. Ebay fee charges $10 fee + 13% (Ontario sales tax) on their $10. Total is $10 + $1.3 = $11.3. In addition, If my item is sold to an international buyer, eBay adds 1% on top of the $10 fee. Adding a few lines for taxes based on the province and the 1% international fee would be great. Thanks
Decent app but I should be able to change the PayPal fees because I'm now on managed payments, which has lower processing but higher per item sales fee. On my wishlist is a way to look up product (or scan bar code) and see past sales and have eProfit suggest a sales price based on fees, cog, desired profit margin and historical sales.
Good but I suggest these improvements... 1. Offer more options for different currencies, e.g. Philippine Peso (PHP) 2. Allow the option boxes to remain included or removed from view on the interface. 3. Also alow word 'ebay' to be edited to alternate name of other online selling platform that user may be using instead of ebay. I think that will improve the App greatly! Peace
Love this app! Especially helpful to see the profit margin when sending offers on "stale" items I'm trying to move quickly (offer low) but still make a profit. Would love the option to toggle between platforms to mercari, kidizen, poshmark etc.
For a quick on the go calculator it works. However, it isn't 100% accurate. Compared to my Excel spreadsheets and other calculator's I've used it's off by a bit. As I said before if you're on the go it's close enough.
Very handy app and a must have for ebay sellers. The only issue I have is in the UK we don't get £1 fees anymore but rather get % off variable fees and the occasional £2 fees. This isn't reflected in the app as it still only has the £1 fee
It has a nice interface and does what it says. It is like an Excel spreadsheet with the formulae plugged in. It looks much nicer than Excel and it works better than what most people would be up cobbling together.
Most of the time the numbers are pretty close. I always go by what Ebay says on the site. I noticed today that the Ebay charges were $1.00 plus 30 cents. The app said 83 cents plus 30 cents. So the app's percentage is off.(yes I fiddled with your settings) Ebay charged me 12.55% plus 30 cents. Sometimes more, depending on the item. I would love to go by your app's settings, but I am getting my money from Ebay so must play by their rules. From now on I will use your app as a big guesstimate.
Totally and always right, between the four minimum different, standard & variable rates be both eBay and PayPal it's incredible this calculator let's you configure in starter store, top rated seller, etc. A must have!! *****
It's a great app. I use it to get a rough idea. Generally it is lower than the actual fees because ebay uses sales tax to calculate fees. Still a great app to use when sourcing and trying to get a general idea.
This app and others like it needs to have a reverse fee calculator. In other words, you need to be able to enter the amount that you need to receive for the item after all of the eBay and PayPal fees are calculated and have the app calculate what your listing price needs to be in order to receive that amount.
Very clean and easy to use interface. No silly pop up apps which is a delight. I did notice though that it still shows PayPal fees in the fees breakdown when eBay is now under Managed payments? When will the all be changed please? Thanks
A+ Awesomeness, This app for me has been better then sliced bread. It helps me to see ahead of time, all the "fees" plus my profits and weather or not it's worth the purchase. We all have to start small but, this app makes it easier.
Almost perfect. EDIT 2/20/2020: Updated 4 to 5 stars & here's why: Emailing w/ very responsive developer to get eBay calculated Tax $ value added to Total Profit & fix Total Profit's total value. An updated app anticipated shortly. When done I'll report back. Given developer's acceptance of ideas to make a fantastic app even better, plus willingness to make it happen is impressive! I'm blown away with a desire to jump in & not sit back & do nothing. BTW - other reviewers echo this sentiment.
Was better before they changed it. I liked seeing the paypal fee. I know it was slightly incorrect considering paypal fee is calculated including the tax amount but it wasn't far off and it helped alot having the paypal fee calculated at least closely. Would have rated 5 stars if paypal fee still was calculated
Dropped a few stars for removed features like the ability to set ebay fees manually and incorrect store fees when selecting any of the listed ebay store catagories which none are correct for Australia anyway. Please fix.
Really good app when your making quick calculations. Only downside is that it doesn't give an option for international sales where ebay charge extra fees.
This app is great and it's helped me speed up the process of selecting new inventory. And it's truly free. Not sure how much more they're planning on developing it, but I would love it if you could save a library of calculations to match your inventory. For example, save a calculation and title it the name of the item or listing. Then you could pull it up and edit the calculation as you adjust the price on ebay (or if supplier price changes) to check your profit.
