ePSXe openGL Plugin

Great plugin for ePSXe PS1 emulator. It adds high res graphics and smooth mip mapped texture mapping to Playstion 1 games, excellent! You have to tweak the settings a little, but it works well. Some games are incompatible however, and you will need to use hardware rendering in those cases. Doom and Jumping Flash are 2 games I know that don't work with OpenGL. OpenGL makes Gran Turismo 2 look incredible.

To be clear this plugin works, it makes the old ps1 textures better but.. and after trying it on several games I found one common ISSUE.. DARKNESS! the plugin makes games kinda dark and the colors a little bit washed out, and Yes I used AB option but there was a huge framedrop ! Don't get me wrong ( developer) your plugin works it really does but I wanna have a ' color brightness ' settings which your plugin doesn't have ( again I've already tried AB and it's not a favorite choice )

This is the weakest of all the Playstation emulators I've used in the past few years. The sound quality for the music 🎶 and sound effects are very very poor compared to the other emulators I've used. And the game play seems a little slower. My recommendations are Duckstation and FPse. This is the oldest of the ps1 emulators and I expected it to be so much better. A total let down. I know the devs can do a lot better.

Nice graphics but poorly optimised for games such as FF8 where there's a lot of effects happening. Bad FPS on load screens that are animated, and sometimes, screens won't load correctly. TO THOSE THINKING THIS IS A APP, ITS NOT!! ITS A PLUGIN THATS INJECTED INTO ESPXE. Go into the graphics settings of ESPXE and select opengl.

Excellent work! The max resolution of the original PSX was 640x480, and those old games really show their age on large HD screens. I have powerful droids running ePSXe on large HD screens (20+ inches), and the games look SO much better with this plugin or Pete's OpenGL Plugin. Thanks for implementing this, and the built-in options like Pete's, Fast OpenGL, the hardware shaders (XBR is Wow)... Just great work. Thanks.

Because there's so many people commenting below whom clearly have no brain I thought I would mention that this is a graphics smoothing/upgrade/plugin for the emulator app called (ePSXe for android). One more time for the noobs in the back row, this is a upgrade for the emulator not the actual emulator so download (ePSXe for android) to get the emulator, now good luck trying to use the emulator with your poorly emulated brain, if you couldn't work that out. Have fun 🙃

When I use this plugin, game works great but the title screen of the games has missing textures, areas of the title screen is black, once game starts, it has full textures. I tested with Gran Turismo, is this issue with the compatibility of this plugin with some games?

Very good plugin, makes everything more crisper and it takes me back, however theres a transparency issue in Um jammer lammy for the textbox and the rhythm bar, and in stage 1 the wavy overlay effect is just black, can I fix it? How?

screen flickering, moreover, when I fix a problem, there is a new problem. Problems with 2d and 3d games, no matter what graphics setting I try, Nothing like that still happens over and over again

The best PlayStation emulator for Android is still this app. The performance of the OpenGL plugin is often accurate and good (except for games like Driver 2) in hardware mode, which works great and flawless and can be found on most smartphones that have been released during these 10-11 years. Is implemented

Technically this is best PS1 emulator for android smartphones. it is also runs on smartphones having 1 gb ram. So everyone can play your favourite PS1 games. I respect the hardwork of the developers for making this amazing emulator. I played some PS1 games with my friend on his orignal PS1 console, I could not afford this console at that time. But now I can play all my favourite games. And I am happy. Thank You So Much. I request to developers, please make PS2 emulator too. I am waiting.

Work great on my very low end device! Games look very crisp and clear after enabling this plugin. Great job! Although I have one issue that in FF7 the text does not show up. I hope that it get fixed.

I think I downloaded the pdf file that tells and describes to you "what is the epsxe plugin" and "how to use it". Pretty funny tho. I'm pretty sure I was supposed to download the plugin from Google play. It's quite reliable but it's not the libopenglplugin.so(plugin file), like the app's name says.

This plugin is very useful if you want to play games in high resolution But i do have a problem with the touchscreen controls Everytime I use this plugin, the sprites for the buttons becomes 2x larger but the hitboxes are changed I can't seem to fix this problem Please contact me and let me know how to fix it

Definitely a great plugin, I love using it for gran turismo 2 and ace combat 3, but I ran into a problem with FF7 where the text didn't show up in the battle menus

I played resident evil 3 with this plugin on, cutscenes are lagging, hope u fix it soon, otherwise it improved my graphics much!!! I use 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 450 processor, 4 gb ram.

Is a great app that runs very smoothly and once you just exit the app when you go back to it it is automatically right where you left it in the game was able to play silent Hill on my phone, was very happy for that.

Very bad some games working in HD graphics and others game it not working when we star the game the screen is gone black fix this please

It's great compared to other emulators, but they barely update anymore. I think like two or three updates last year, which were very minor. It's a shame.

Its great but its sad to know that its hard to adjust the settings and I started to play chocobo dungeon 2 and amazing too because its texture is like real but from the items names are not in a great shape but ok

there's literally one game I love playing and I'll probably like playing for the rest of my life and that'll be gran turismo 2 and this allows me to do that on my Chromebook on my phones and just about any Android device and that's why I love it a lot.

When I try to select the plug-in, it shows the name but it has 0 Bytes. Libopenglplugin . so File size: 0 Bytes. I downloaded the plug-in directly from Store page. Any help ??

It didn't worked in my experience when I downloaded it. It gives me an error when I start the game. I already check online ways to do it and tried fixing it but no luck.

It crashes when I Use this openGL Plugin when playing Vagrant Story. Also it makes the game too slow before it crashes the emulator and blacksout the screen. But even then I would really love to have this work when playing Vagrant Story. So guys Please make it work for when Playing Vagrant Story. Pleez guys do this And I'll give ya 5 Stars in rating and 10 Stars in my commenting Review.😎

Man, this plugin creates a night and day difference in the graphics. The anti aliasing is phenomenal. You should try to set it as the default in the main app.

This plugin for ePSXe is amazing, an honest 10/10. i do not have this app installed, but that's because i am using an earlier version of the plugin, and the ePSXe app. but this is amazing hd graphics for spyro and tomb raider is all you need ❤❤❤❤
