The app works fine for the most part. The integration is okay, I've found if the wifi goes down for a lengthy period they stop auto connecting eventually and you have to go through the reset process. This is a little annoying otherwise not a bad buy. Most recently on my Pixel 2XL when trying to add a new device where the said should be it displays so I can't add my plugs back if there's an issue. I have also noticed that the Google home integration is choppy, if you have to readd the devices then you have to relogin on the Google home app.
It was good before. New updated app does not show any of the four devices. Strange thing is, the previous connection to the Google Home works fine without any ability to control and automate using the app as the app does not show any of the devices. Update: I added devices manually in the app. Now I can control them but Google home linking does not work. It seems the new app does not have any connection with the old app and the info server. Strange that they are still selling devices.
Elf Smart plug has 3 light blink settings... Blue slow... Blue/red mix slow... Blue/red mix fast... You gotta have it on fast to setup connection. Updated firmware makes it easier with my dual 2.4ghz 5ghz setup. Used to be almost impossible because it wouldn't find the 2.4...Thanks for the update but why is configuration upload not in new version? Need to update your manual/online setup guides. Not working with alexa! Also daylight savings doesn't adjust. Trashing them...
HORRIBLE!!! After the latest update all of our smart plugs have had several issues. Some work and some dont. At that they dont communicate well with the server and only sometimes work. The biggest issue we have is now it wont work on android PERIOD! NO issues with ios what so ever. If you have these, DONT update or if youre thinking of buying them buy a competitors plug. These absolutely SUCK!!!
App worked until latest update. My wifi outlets no longer appear. I tried to add but won't let me. It only works on one iPhone. Before you are able to upload configuration and now it won't let you. Invite feature doesn't work. Please fix this!!!
New app is better for setup but firmware updates make these incompatible with Alexa/Google home. I can add them to Alexa now but they no longer work. I just get "Device unresponsive". Still works with ELF app but I bought these to use with Echo/Alexa which it does not anymore. These are going in the trash.
Been using this for over a year. Suddenly not working and only SOME of the plugs continue to work with Alexa. Tried new install, same thing. Tried new Android device ... no way to enter my id. Really, really disappointed as I have been using 8 devices and was about to add 8 more. NOW WHAT CAN I DO..?
bad support. i currently have a open ticket for over 2 weeks that has been escalated to their tier 2 support. no way to contact other than email. bought a bunch if these on black friday and none of them connect. even brought out an old 2.4ghz router to try a different router and still will not connect.
Bought these to use with my Google Home, but couldn't get them to work with it. I contacted support and, after doing a bunch of stuff I'd already done, they finally admitted there was a problem and said they'd contact me when it was fixed. that was months ago. I'm tired of waiting... so 1 star it is.
New app or firmware update broke Google Home connectivity. The plugs are showing up, but only 1 of 4 are responding from Google Home. The others saying "oops couldn't connect to device." +1 star for making device pairing SO much better than before.
Removed detected devices. Added them again and now can't seem to detect if they're online, which they are. Terrible update. Edit: you just have wait for them to be seen for whatever reason. Broke Alexa voice controls.
Company has failed since its Nov 2019 update to ensure migration in Android. Migration of existing devices for an update that is forced on customers in Android fails. All devices must be reinstalled. However, if you have the Apple version it appears to migrate your devices. Firmware update for Android rating minus -10
Absolutely the worst update ever. Still haven't fixed the Google assistant integration and even when you open the app now the power button is never in the correct switch
Setup was a nightmare. If i didnt have a background in IT, this would have never worked. Customer service was awful. Now that it's up, it works well.
Couldn't get it to connect to my wifi. I used the 2.4 band. The help is really not helpful. It appears to send the wifi password to the mother ship.
My smart plugs can't upload configuration on my Android device. This is making my smart plugs useless. They worked on the previous app.
Kept telling me my internet was not supported, when it meets all the criteria. I checked it, my brother who works in an IT dept checked it, there is no reason it should not work. This was a complete waste of money. Very disappointed.
Why would the app for a $10 wireless outlet require permissions for your camera, microphone, location, phone and storage? This requirement alone makes this product useless, as the app will not run without these permissions.
One star until its fixed. Since the latest app update no one can connect, control, or pair new plugs. Nothing works.
I just bought the eques smart plug, intalled this app and I can't configure the plugs, every time fails, the instruction inclyded look different than the actual app, waste of time and money
Download cnct life. I believe that these are an off brand of the intelliplug system they work great with the CNCT life app. Be sure to update the firmware on the plug.
I don't get the one star reviews. It works as expected. Maybe they should not buy smart devices if their own iq is below 80 and can't setup a simple wifi device.
Really under rated, works great. I bought extra. Fully compatible with Google and Alexa.
Terribly difficult to set up. I cannot recommend this app. I have four of the plugs, don't use them. Waste of money.
DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT. They want your money, but they don't want to talk or reply to you if you have questions. Their product is not for the novice. This company DOES NOT reply to emails. I sent them an email on 2/14, received the "auto" reply. Sent them a second email on 2/15 still haven't heard a thing. Email is the ONLY method to contact them.
Works well. Maybe not if you have some smart device that needs it.
It is comforting to know that I can turn off my appliance if I leave home and forget and leave it plugged in, like my curling iron and such.
works like it is suppose to, i have eight plugs. They also work with Amazon Alexa.
Unbelievably bad security. Wifi password can't contain special characters??????
Smart plug integrated with my Google Home Mini easily and worked fine until last week. Came home to find it had become unlinked to Mini. Now I can't get them to talk to one another. Customer service wants information I'm not comfortable giving them and says there are problems with the app they are ironing out. Three stars is because it worked as long as it did.
