Ads cover half the screen. Difficult to scroll and navigate due to the pervasive ad coverage. One thing that's also annoying both on the app and on the desktop site is that when you add a horse to your stable, you can't also put comments; it won't save them. You have to save it first then go back and add comments (I put their pedigree there). I am glad Equibase offers this service, and it's free, but it could stand some design improvements.
What happened???? The HOME SCREEN keeps grinding and freezing, and when the app FINALLY loads, It's flooded with UNWANTED ADDS. I had to CANCEL my premium subscription because there are so many technical problems. Fortunately, I have the DAILY RACING FORM app. As for Equibase, if the technical issues are resolved, or better yet: if the app goes back to It's older version, minus the "improvements", I'll probably subscribe to it, again. I hope that It's fixed, soon.
I'm a little shocked and saddened by the generic responses being offered and the obtuseness being displayed by Equibase regarding the poor reception of their app. Your took the universally accepted format of displaying handicapping information, a format you yourselves used in the previous version, and replaced it with a garbled mess that comes across as a lazy and boring version of an early microsoft excel, and then act like the problem is just that everyone is just using the app wrong.
What have you guys done!?!? This used to be a user friendly app now it is user frustrating 😡😡😡😡😡😡. Keep it simple youve destroyed it! You are trying to put too much info in it! It was fine as it was. EDIT Its even worse. It takes up all the memory when it runs and it constantly locks up. If there were an alternative fo entries this app woul be to the curb
I loved this app and used it frequently until this update. It added a home page which forces an extra step to get to entries and/or results and takes forever to load (or not). I personally view the home page as a detriment not an advantage. It has forced me to use another app more frequently.
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate your replies and advice on using the filter features. I see how they offer some of the benefits I had come to enjoy with easy access in the old version. But trying to figure out how to use them took me a while. It simply shouldn't be this hard to find entries and odds at a racetrack. I'll use this app only as long as I have to and I am combing the Google Play Store for another racing app. Thanks for trying but this new version isn't for me.
App updated on its own, and now nothing is the same. This newer version won't load half the time and the other half it freezes up. Why would anyone change a fabulous app to where it takes 30 minutes to find the race info if it comes up at all? So disappointing.
New version updated on its own. New format is terrible. Way more complicated. Older version SO MUCH BETTER. Another problem is the dates do not go but just a few ahead on entries. Today couldn't get the changes. PLEASE change it back. Thank you.
No idea what's going on all of a sudden, but this app used to be EXTREMELY reliable. Lately it unexpectedly closes EVERY time I try to see race results. Uninstalling to find a better & reliable app.
Horrific. New version takes me to $1.99 program puchase. Old one $1.95. New one will not allow download of $1.99 purchase. Have had to buy $1.99 and then able to buy and download same program for an additional $1.95. BS. Fix or i will never make another purchase.
Very slow to load and sometimes doesn't load. Too many ads. Jan. 27, 2019. App is becoming useless. About 90% of the time, it won't Download. I guess I will have to switch to Daily Racing Form's Mobile App.
Do not download this app. It is horrible . The old format was easy to use. Quick and concise. This is hard to read with too much non essential garbage. Wish I could get my old on back.
Latest update stinks. What a mess. The old version was perfect. You say be more specific... REVERT TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION or at least retain the same look and feel and just add to it. I'm looking at all the other reviews, they're all negative. It shouldn't take a genius to see you've made a huge mistake. You need to put minds together and come up with a solution. "...impossible to please everyone." It looks like you haven't pleased anyone from the reviews I've read. Don't be defensive.
Paid for premium with no ads, but there are still ads. I used to like the virtual stable interface, but now it's almost unusable.
Ok after getting used to this app, I am starting to appreciate it more. I still miss the old interface but these developers have been improving this app. I am also a software developer so that means a lot that the team is striving to make it better.
Same. Wth. STILL SAME Mar 2021. Annoying// Overall I like it. Quick access to info. However I cannot open race charts ever, and cannot figure out why (Google pixel XL2, Edge and Firefox)
This used to be my favorite app. Since the latest update it has become incredibly difficult to find the information I need. Whoever designed this layout was so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
Equibase my Graphics still not working haven't been working for the for a week so I don't know what's going on so that's not an issue right there with the graphics thank you
I still have the old format and it's excellent. After reading reviews on the new update version. I shall pass my 5 stars are for the old format. You dropped my old format NOW I drop you
Ever since it was changed to new format it takes forever to load! Sometimes it never does...so irritating!
Impossible to purchase or unlock premium features. App continually opens website and crashes.
Why so slow in loading? Good info IF you can get to it! Also, why can't I easily add horses to my Virtual Stable anymore? Needs reworking!!!!
Used to love this app but since the latest update, I find it not user friendly at all. Very disappointing.
Constantly crashes. Cant even load what I want to look at. Too many ads
Used for years and have been happy. However, changes to virtual stable in regards to ads is nonsense. The ads leave you hung with touch sensitive selections inactive. Causes you to touch anything, anywhere to get out of the app/page. The X of ads is difficult to find. All just trickery to cause inadvertent ad clicks. Will look for other options ... maybe DRF.
