This is such a hidden gem. Great (pixel) graphics, lovely music, and great rpg elements overall, mixed in together with some neat spellcasting. What more can one ask for in a free game! I hope the developer makes even more awesome games and get the attention that they finally deserve!

Unique, somewhat grindy RPG. It's a good game and a great proof of concept of gestures for spells - which I'd like to see further explored as it works thematically and showcases a strength of touch interfaces.

Interesting theme. Grindy RPG type of game. At the current time, no story to be seen (after the intro) before game asks for a review. As a game thus far, no compelling gameplay or story. Not bad, but not great.

Unique and dynamic strategic gameplay. I reccommend it if you want to play with some interesting mechanics. Or not. Either way, get it.

Masterfully executed. Great concept that actually feels like playing a game, instead of the usual bore of endless grinding that the online stores have come to be filled with.

Very interesting turn based RPG. Innovative controls with a very classic look.

This is a brilliant spell-caster style game! Low pressure but high strategy.

Great game I'm going buy full version soon. I want to give this game 4 stars but I love it too much. Possible improvements could be spell combos and different puzzles not just quick time event. I'm talking about challenging puzzle that are timed and completion determines effectiveness. I would like actual drops instead of just crystals like armor with various effects. And yes this is a lot asked from someone only buying the 2 dollar verison of full game. But I'm just trying to suggest additions to a game I am heavily enjoying. EDIT: What if you could crystallize spells saving them for later

Everything about this game is delightful. I wish more people had played it. Worth twenty bucks, but it only costs a few to unlock the whole game.

Very engaging game, a hidden gem in the deluge of mediocre titles in the store.

Peculiar graphics, great atmosphere and a lot of tactical depth. I'm definitely going to support the author.

You even pixalated the cut scenes! Awesome! Still an awesome game 3 years later!!

It's a really fun game, I recommend it!

The combat is unique and cool. It gets really stale though because there really doesn't seem to be a story and the ONLY thing you do is combat; there's no NPC interaction, no equipment to find, no hidden quests or any objective other than run-swipe-poke, run-swipe-poke. Collecting spells would be more meaningful if there was the potential to combo them, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Old review: A legit good game guys, but it's too slow imo and i hope there's a turbo mode that increase the game's speed by 20% or something. New review: Now the game runs at an acceptable pace after the new update that brings the option to speed up the game arrives. Gj devs, you did good \m/

Excellen comba system hampered by the readability of the text. Could use some flavor in terms of storytelling though. As it is everything seems to be one battle after another and other the enjoyable combat system there's not much else pushing me to go on. I don't feel any motivation as a character.

ERIN is a new concept to me, and I've already played alot of games. I know one of its appeal is the pixelated character/monster but i would love to see improvements with the graphics/skill effects. Still this is a real challenging and enjoyable game as it is now. Keep up the good work and pls continue to polish this rare gem!

Erin is a curious game. It is about turn based combats - think Final Fantasy - were you select spells (either from a list or by typing it) and then perform a small timing task to determine the power of that spell. It's weakness is the repetition, where the only thing that varies is the type of the spell to cast. The game also lacks certain things that prevents it to stand out as a mobile classic, such as better (remarkable) music, background variety and a Storyline. In its current presentation, the game plays as a grinding fest so it may bore easily. I hope the designer take a look into this because it has great potential.

I haven't gotten far into the game yet, but the start is promising. It uses a combat system like in Child of Light, based on spell timing and interrupting your enemies while they are preparing for their attacks. Unlike CoL, you actually get to pause before casting, so the game is very relaxed in that sense. I like that. I also adore how you cast spells. Not only are there shortcuts to all of them, which makes you feel quite smart when casting, you also have to complete small minigames to actually cast the spell properly. This makes battle engaging, and you'll find yourself frustrated (in a good way) when you miss that Excellent timing that would have gotten you the kill. The game is Pay What You Want, and it's a pretty, consumer friendly package of interesting combat. Will it become repetitive? Maybe. But so far, I'm very much enjoying my time with it.

The main issue I have with this game is it's art style. It's just so pixelated that dometimes I'm unable to even read the text. I know the art style was chosen on purpose but that still isn't enough of a reason to make the text that hard to read and the monsters to look like giant blurs. But besides that the game is fantastic, it has one of the greatest combat systems I've ever seen and just screams creativity. Don't really care bout' the story tho.

The game is AMAZING! Its style is so unique, I don't think here's another game with this kind of style to it. I also love he pixelated art, it brings back memories of the old games like final fantasy. Overall, it's great! If there's anything I can suggest, a clear and concrete storyline would be nice. Other than that, the game's PERFECT!

I admit, I was bribed with an in game item to write this review. That said, I've been genuinely enjoying it. There's something very satisfying about learning new spell patterns. I'm hoping that one day Erin will get to wear some real clothes (maybe even armor?), and more of a storyline will appear (to be fair I'm apparently 3 percent into the game), but I'd say this is worth checking out.

The game itself is quite good :) However, I think that the app icon is not very nice lol. And the font in the game makes me difficult to read the text :/ Those are just my ideas though :)

This is a fantastic game! The graphics have a modern style but retro feel. The battle system is one of the most unique of any I've found, combining a "traditional?" mobile interface with the very strategic timeline system reminiscent of old PS titles like Grandia. The world is large and full of content, the spells are varied and animated super well. 5 stars, love it. The only issue/bug I've found so far is that sometimes the spell execution window doesn't pop up fast enough and makes you miss the sequence, but even that isn't a game killer.

A. G. u. May 30, 2017

Energy whip. It ruins the game. If you want to speed through the game then invest all level up points into speed 13 the rest all willpower, and the rest of your points into the energy element. Energy whip is learned fairly early on and damage and stuns the enemies, works on bosses so never fear.

Really fun and engaging game. I was a bit hesitant cause I'm not into pixilated games normally but I'm really glad I downloaded this game.

A. G. u. Jul 10, 2017

Enjoying the game so far, even with the graphics. Fairly challenging even at an early stage and there's actually quite some strategy involved in this game

A. G. u. May 13, 2017

Very unique gameplay. Controls are easy to learn but difficult to master. Surprising amount of strategy needed to be good at it. Graphics are what you'd expect from 8- bit style. Wish it had more storyline.

This game replaced my right hand as a lover. This game saved me from committing suicide. This game is the Rick and Morty of 1990's soap operas. Without this game there would be no joy in life. Thanks for the in game item creators. Stay shwifty

I'm having a blast! The rune patterns as a spell shortcut is very handy. I like identifying enemy weaknesses and exploiting them. Definitely going to hunt down every last spell, and hopefully some shoes for Erin. Running around everywhere barefoot all the time, ow!
