Erudite Dictionary & Thesaurus

I love it!! Exactly what I am looking for! I used to use a dictionary app which name is Dictionary. Several months ago, the app changed it's UI, and the response became so slow and heavy. Can't believe it takes me several seconds for one tap. I was so upset and disappointed. I gave the feedback to the development team but nothing changed until I found Erudite dictionary today!! so amazing, so fast, so easy to use!! Not offline. After installing you need to download again from 3rd party unknown source. I seen this scam. Do not download anything from unknown untrusted sources. Plenty of other dictionary apps that are free and offline.

Thanks for your design, I have one problem and one suggestion, thanks a lot. My problem is when I use Chromebook, the app can NOT change the different language definition (there is NO button in a left corner like phone app) My suggestion is Dark Mode, it is a useful and needed function when I use the app at night. Regards.

On quick rundown I've found it unreliable cuz most of the time it's showing translation instead of meaning (even tho calling for meaning of English words) when called from system's pop-up menu Also from there when you've learned the meaning, pressing back takes you to Erudite's main activity instead of taking back to the app it's called from App looks nice but lacks dark theme I wish the meanings would show in a pop-up instead of full window Not sure how accurate translations for other langs are

A very good dictionary. The grammar section along side words is very useful. It also gives synonyms and antonyms of the respective word which makes this app very unique and useful for the students and the professionals.

Although major dictionaries are still better (e.g. Merriam-Webster), Erudite is one of the best dictionaries out there considering it's totally free. Also, you can use its audio pronunciation offline. Two thumbs up Erudite!

It's really a great and useful app except I can't find the example sentences. The video introducing this app had the bar "examples" on top, but somehow mine doesn't. Is it perhaps in premium?

I wish there was a button to see random words.. Or show an example with a sentence for each definition, this could help users understand the term better.

This app is very much essential for me because , I have to lead something extra . Hence ,this dictionary are consists of all types of solution like :with definition,example etc !! Good works ✨✨🤙👍

It's a great dictionary app so far. Easy to use, quick response. It has ads of cause but not irritated.

I would have given five☀ But my problem is with your "sporadic new database updates" i mean why do i need to download a new database to keep using the app. Couldn't you notify me of the new database and let me decide when to download it instead of shoving it down my throat.

Ads are still appearing sometimes though I have paid for premium. Pls look into my issue seriously and take appropriate action at the earliest to get five stars....

Great app, but why floating translate always disappear when i unlocked my phone? Need to open app and close app to trigger this floating translate to be appear again.

There is some issues on the android 12. When you using this app with floating icon the bottom space doesn't work on the screen. Please fix it

I make use of it a lot to build vocabulary awareness, I kinda love the features of invoice of UK and USA when searching a word and numerous likes for synonyms antonyms and grammar usage in it

Doesn't even work, at all. The "database update" doesn't work either! I can't even search for words, and this is supposedly a dictionary?! Come on, you're not even trying.

great dictionary app. but widget work not well on my android pie OP7. put it on homescreen and get a white rectangle. can't click for translate.

Is there someway could choose levels of Word of the Day? I like the notification of Word of the Day, but i think the Word in the notification is too easy.

One of the Best apps, just the small button will disappear sometimes, this app really convenient, thumbs up!
