This isn't even a file manager. I've been trying to find certain files for so long (including folders) and nothing appears. Only gallery photos. Don't recommend it it's just a copy paste rip off of your own gallery
TOO MANY ADS! I used to use this app exclusive to manage files on my android device, but it's become completely useless due to intrusive ads and loss of functionality. Why did you run this app??? If you want money, at least give us a pro version that we can pay to stop the annoying ads that pop up with almost every action!
Calm down on the ads, this used to be an awesome app a while back. But the ads are a bit too much... you could try making them less frequent. Also I'm pretty sure if you switch off your WiFi and then use the app, then the ads will stop. I think.
Not the same thing it used to be. Good luck setting up a basic connection to your windows network... muahaha (evil laughter fades into the distance as advertisements begin to play in your new and useless app)
Been some time since I use the es file explorer. Totally different from I knew previously. Can't connect to network storage to view my pictures.
I used this app a long time ago and liked it. I downloaded it again because I'm having trouble viewing some media files in my phone gallery. There's banner ads 100% of the time AND every single time I changed to a different part of the app I got hit with a full page ad. It's made the app functionally impossible to use as I've spent more time waiting for ads to load and closing them than trying to diagnose my problem. Run. Run far from this app.
Over the years, this app has become more cumbersome and less useful. The developers seem to have forgotten the original purpose of it: to be the best file manager. The curent version does not offer the network and ftp features and it strayed away from the simple, yet efficient and intuitive interface it used to have. They tried to cram too many features into this app and it is a mess. Luckily, I still keep a four years old .apk that I use. The current version is useless.
Wow. I kept reading a bunch of comments saying it was " Unusable " because of the ads. I figured it was just people being picky or spoiled; its free, but this app really is near UNUSABLE. I can't even give 2 or 3 stars for good features since it takes several seconds at a time to simply switch between storage mediums. Nobody is going to have the patience to actually use this app more than once.
Used it for years, and Gradually began to stop using it enough that i even forgot it was on my phone. As i just recently decided to see if it was a Good File Explorer App, i was shocked to see it no longer held it's former glory years ago. It's bad enough there is an Ad bar always at the bottom of the screen, but whenever i select any of my folders, let alone going back to previous directories, I'm greeted with a 5 second ad. Every. Single. Time. That's both a security concern, and greedy.
This app used to be my go to file manager, but now it won't even read my sd card, it doesn't have its own file viewer, and the home screen has none of the old info. It lacks the user friendly, intuitive interface that used to work so well. Why did you guys change it up so much? Total Fail people. Sorry to say I will be uninstalling and looking for an old version in my backups.
The free version has been rendered useless by so many ads. You can no longer move multiple files and/or folders, and during each move you must look at at least one, possibly two ad, some can be 30 seconds long. I don't mind seeing some ads while using your free version, but this is ridiculous. I guess I'll have to decide if it's worth buying the paid version, but that will only be after a search for replacements.
Very intrusive ads. Videos that play for five 10 seconds after EVERY screen touch. sound is automatically turned on. Do not recommend!
Wow. This used to be my favorite file managing app. There was very little adds and very easy to navigate. I'm quite disappointed. The add rate makes it so I can barely navigate, there are too much adds. I'm very disappointed that you decided to take this path. This was the only good file manager I knew. But now you just infested it with adds. There are countless other ways to make profit from your app. I'm very disappointed and will no longer be using the app.
The usage is not very user-friendly. When copying to SD card, there should be the words 'SD card' instead of the card's device number & there should be a progress bar. There should not be any pop-up ad. Other than these, this file explorer is pretty good and it has some functionalities which stock file manager and most of the other file manager apps don't have like, any file can be created within this app just like we do in desktop computer's file manager. 4 stars only for this feature.
I used to use this app and it was so amazing cuz when you would open the app it would show you all the recent stuff you did on your phone and you could just scroll down and delete stuff. Now the home screen is very limited info and you have to clip places to find stuff and then delete stuff, it really is brutal compared to what it used to be. I hope you guys change it back to the easier layout making it quick to delete recent items that are no longer needed.
Since they are forcing me to rate before I can figure it out. Here you go. No wonder iOS is killing Android. The "move" command seems to have disappeared, the "sort by size" doesn't work, and the rest of the GUI is so unintuitive I can only laugh. All I want to do is move all videos from internal memory, to my external sd card. Typically it's select, long press, click move, select new directory. Basic function, you'd think, but no. Needed another file explorer to do that.
Since the new update I couldnt find my files anymore. There are too much ads that takes up the whole screen. I can't switch to my Sd card. Also my files are randomly being deleted. Also, after a few minutes the app close itself. I can't get any of my work done. The files that are randomly being deleted is my docment which is every important to me, for my work.
Used to be a great file explorer, but wow did they ruin it with the new invasive adds. Sorry to say but it looks like I done using this app. Time to uninstall.
Think it's one of the best designed file management tools I've used and I've tried them all apart from the occasional ad it's great
This is NOT the ES file explorer that is so highly rated. It appears that ES file explorer is not currently on the Google play store, though you can get it from the Amazon app store, and some less scrupulous developers have taken advantage of this. This is a less than full-featured file manager, full of ads and not one I would recommend.
Way too many ads. I get it that that supports free software, but having to watch a 5 second video every four taps in the interface is super annoying. and it's not like there aren't already banner ads while you're using the app. Otherwise, this software rocks, but it's just too much advertising.
Used to be awesome. I used to connect to a network file share and upload my files quickly & easily over WiFi using the multiple window interface without ever having to connect my phone to a PC or unmount an SD card. This interface is now cumbersome and overly feature-laden. Go back to simple & useful !
DO NOT USE THIS APP! Used this app for years without issue, then suddenly overnight it became plagued with timed Chinese ads. Then recently one ad stuck to the screen and wouldn't leave, all in Chinese so I could read it. I tapped the screen and the damn thing start downloaded Chinese bloatware. Maybe it was worse than bloatware, not sure as I immediately uninstalled.
This used to be my go to app. The new interface is garbage, can no longer set home screens, does not have it on file viewer or video viewer, and can no longer connect to my home server via my network. I dont why you change a perfectly good app and made it garbage. I want the old version back.
Used to be top dog for file explorers. Now its practically useless. Cant find files, and every single god damn time you click a folder you get an ad. I get that you have to make your money, thats understandable. But ive got plenty of apps that have far less ads with more functionality. This app is a fallen giant. And i doubt it will get back up.
