This game is not as bad as how others on here described. I actually enjoyed the puzzles. I rely more on hints during the early levels but then it was smooth sailing once I grasp the general concept. I like how the game allows the option to progress through the levels if you don't mind watching ads, but also provide another option to remove the ads for a mere $2 (hey game developers got to eat too!)
I just started playing this game and it has held my interest so far! I wanted to play some more and continue to different levels. What does get a little Annoying is the background music needs to improve. It's pretty lame and gets very mundane, and repetitive. It would be nice if the music could change at some point
It is really challenging for your brain and the levels are pretty hard but I get pass them, but some levels are a bit confusing like level 130, on that level the answer was 'midnight' but all I saw was a random clock in the middle of no where, I had to use google to get pass it since it was tricky but still a really good challenging game, I hope you people who download it, like it. Thanks!
This app is fun in some ways and moderately addictive but some of the puzzles don't make a lot of sense - you need to rely on guesses or cheats. Some require you to get clues from a picture that is simply too small on a phone screen to make out the necessary details. The worst problem though is the ads - they come after every second level and every time you need "money" to buy hints. You spend literally as much time watching ads as you do playing the game.
What a load of tripe. The worst escape game ever. The clues are either repeats, half complete or a combination of previous clues appear at once leaving you scratching your head which is relevant to the current game. Just as well it is easy to get free coins just to see what the answer is suppose to be and then work out how the clues connect...which still is a challenge to figure. Perhaps this was made as a joke?
Misleading ads. I think this is the first and most important point to be mentioned about this game. Escape Room is a word puzzle game where you get clues from words on paper or subliminal visual hints. There is no inventory system, no character and no crafty puzzles of sorts. For a simple word puzzle game it does its job pretty well. However, I'm not happy about being misled.
I really enjoy the game. However, the levels are painfully easy. The ads say that you can't get past level four? I am currently on level twenty nine and haven't had a problem whatsoever. I have stopped playing to right this review, and my only problem is the difficulty level in the game. I would appreciate if the levels were more challenging. Coins are very much available, but there is no point in buying hints when the game is so easy.
All I can think is that the developers don't speak English as their first language. I worked my way through some really bizarre answers to level 89 before uninstalling. How is two stick men, one wearing a hat and holding a stick of wood "bargain", the two clues being "bar" and "gain"? I love cryptics, but I can't make even the most obscure link between many of the pictures and the answers in this game. Every level is the same format. It's a bit lazy imo, and not the advertised point and click.
Puzzles either too simple or utterly ridiculous and unconnected to the visual "clues". Worse still is the constant ads. Fair enough have one every 5-10 levels, not after virtually every single one, PLUS prompting me to watch ads for in game currency and then forcing another ad on me after the very next level! I get that you want revenue but at least either cut back on the amount of ads or give people the option to remove them with an in-app purchase.
Fun experience. The gradual difficulty with the Charlie Brown-esque music make this game challenging and interesting. In addition, I finished the game. I hope there are nore levels coming soon. It was a shock to finish it. I stand by my four-star rating. I never give five. That's THE perfect game and it doesn't exist..
This app would be much better if the clues made sense. There are far too many clues that make no sense or are too much of a stretch to lead you to the correct answer. Im over 140 levels in and I've found at least 15 levels where I NEEDED the hints and letter clues to complete the puzzle. With the amount of adverts and lack of planning on the puzzles, the is just another cash grab app!
I would absolutely love this game if I didn't constantly get a pop up asking me if I want a hint or not. There is no way to disable it so it forever interferes with game play. If I wanted a hint I'd click one of the options for it in the lower left corner and even go so far as to make a purchase. However the fact that I keep getting the pop up rules out any enjoyable future game play with this one.
If the rooms are supposed to give clues, they should on every level. Some had clues, some seemed to have clues but were not helpful at all and others had none at all. Even some of the hints were not helpful at all and the grammar in the hints were horrible. Basically you just spend time guessing words until you get it. This game looked better in the advertizement.
this game is frustratingly inconsistent. First off this is a riddle game not an escape room game. Second some puzzles are as easy as a riddle you remember from kindergarten then the next makes no sense and is so vague to purposely make you buy clues. Even then you are often better off just looking at keypad and guessing words. Some puzzles are pictures on the wall that you have to find the word in, problem is on smaller phones that is not possible to make them out. save your time and just avoid.
A lot if fun. Hints get harder, but the game always explains why the answer is the correct answer. If you spend your coins carefully you will go far. If you are our of coins and still unable to solve the puzzle, eventually the game will give you the answer or another clue in your notifications. However; it could be weeks before you get the help.
The design is so simple but interesting, it's a struggle for me considering I'm so young but I'm smarter then most kids my age so it wasn't as hard. The controls are very simple as well so they're easy to learn, I hate when i get a long demonstration. I was very happy when I got a short demo for this game, would definitely recommend this app.
This game would be great if it made more sense. I think it is just a vehicle for watching ads and nothing more. Half of the answers don't make much sense even with clues. There are spelling errors frequently. You have to be a mins reader to get some of these. I find myself having to look up a walkthrough on most of them because they are so obscure.
Opposite of 'Innovative' as described. Downloaded because it looked like it was going to be a cool combination of searching for clues and answering riddles to decipher the keycode, but in reality no searching is really needed, and half the "clues" are just riddles on a piece of paper on the floor. Very disappointing when you're expecting a more interactive experience from an escape room game.
Ads are misleading. The game is a simple word puzzle but it is a decent one. I would give it 4 stars but the false marketing lowers it to 3. The puzzles are interesting enough and it's a game you can play when you're waiting, not bad but misleading.
Nice,, but would be better if it had a plot... Like missions,,, a story line,,, etc... That would make it a lot more interesting... All the same it's a good game and you really do get to think long and hard unless of course you have some data and cash to spare...!
The advertising for the game is misleading with animated scenes of where a character moves, the game is only the one door with a clue for the key pad with different words 240+ times. The setting never changes, don't be mislead by the videos of this being animated as nothing in the game is that way.
It starts easy so that you can get the hang of what you need to do. Thats good. It gets a little harder to challenge you. Great. Then the clues start to make no sense at all. At this point you have to use the hints and possibly watch ads to get enough currency to solve the password. Even then you'll wonder how you were supposed to figure out the puzzle with the clues and hints given.
Good idea in principle and fun to start off with, but there are only about 20 to maximally 25 different puzzles, which keep repeating randomly, so after you've solved those it's becomes essentially an additional serving app and very tedious. Some of the puzzles are really good, some are really easy once you've got the idea behind it, but some don't make any sense at all. I think three stars is an appropriate score as I'll be removing it after just a few days as it's just become too repetitive.
