Escape Room The Game App

Last time I reviewed, I mentioned that the pack we bought was inaccessible. That review has since disappeared. If you're having the issue I did (where the pack you bought is greyed out), try going back to the screen with the flags. It isn't a language selection, which is extremely unclear; certain games are only available in certain countries. If you, like me, clicked the UK flag (assuming that it was the English selection), you'll have to scroll down and select the USA flag to be able to play.

When you pick flags, you are choosing region: if you are in the US, scroll down to find the US flag rather than selecting the British flag. This will give you access to the two player games that are grayed out when you pick the British flag. Other than that challenge, it's an easy to use app with a fun game.

Great game. Demanding and interesting, but sometimes the translation get lost in the process and you can get stuck. Good thing there is a free walkthrough on the official website and you can unstuck yourself.

This app adds enjoyable ambiance to the Escape Room The Game by Spin Master. I liked the photo frame at the end. There is missed potential here to add additional elements to game through the app. Maybe video puzzles or have clues pop up on the phone. Regardless, the actual game is extremely entertaining, and offers a challenge similar to physical escape rooms from the comfort of home and at a steep discount to taking a group to an actual escape room.

We have the VR edition of the game and the app says, my phone is not able to use the VR functionality because it lacks an accelerometer and a gyroscope. My phone (Huawei Mate 10 Lite) does have these sensors and they work fine in other apps. I have read multiple people having the same issue, so please fix this as soon as possible!

Great escape room simulation! The app is totally not necessary, but 5 stars for the game itself. We just finished the Prison Break scenario. It was an appropriate difficulty level for our family with good clues if you need help along the way.

So much fun!! We did the Asylum kit from 5 and below! Well worth the $5! I felt the pressure, fun and excitement like when we do an actual escape room. The whole family enjoyed it! The only thing I would change is whenever you get the code wrong they take away a minute which adds up fast!

Purchased Escape Room the game 3. Games are not even on this app apart from the 15min practice game. Extremely frustrating as the encoder that came with the game doesn't accept the correct codes (we checked against the app for the first game and the wall throughs for the others and we are entering the correct codes). Will be writing to the company, ruined the entire experience and the game.

I've only done the intro game so far but it works well with the music in the background. It would be nice if the app could read out the premise maybe with a video.

I don't get it. I downloaded the game, was expecting to start playing and that's when I realized there was no game to play. Just some annoying screen showing all their different escape games. I notice a few, fleeting like "nuke, zombie, jungle, themed escapes". I tried a few times to download them only to have nothing happen so... I deleted it since it was a useless app that did nothing. I'm guessing it utilizes some 3D glasses effect, you know you phone hooked up with magnified glass. Yawn

I tried getting this for the box game but it immediately has you do the chrono decoder and theres no way to really tell how to complete it considering the first part is supposed to be about unlocking a door. Idk if i just did it wrong or if thats a problem with the app but either way i was badly dissapointed and would love to know how to fix the issue.

Graphics good, but sad every stage is a download (time consuming = waste of time) if you try to get out the app doesn't have an exit button. I was excited since see the ad promo but disappointed after. you need to improve it and relaunch it

So I didn't know what to think when my wife brought home these games called Asylum and Prison Island, but I gotta say they were a lot of fun and definitely got the blood flowing when we started pouring over clues to figure them out lol We finished Asylum with just 02:04 left on the clock and it was a blast! Will definitely pick up more adventures.

If the first game was kinda fun and we made it to the end, the aztec temple had verry poor stranslation and i had parts missing from it. I lost one hour of my life trying to solve a puzzle that can never be solved because of the so poor translations and the missing parts. The game costs around 50€ wich is alot. I dont recomend it to anyone. Only to those who want to waste the money. So dissapointed !!

Can't play it. Downloaded it on my Xperia plus and my son's Motorola and try to start the game then it tells us after all the opening up and set up oh by the way your phone needs a gyroscope and accelerometer to work. It would be nice if you wrote the required specs on the box before someone buys it!!!!! It was a gift so we can't return it. Also not about to buy a new phone just to get a gyroscope. Not happy Jan. ☹️

App works, however to get some of the escaperooms to work, you have to set the language to your own country. Our problem was that the language was on English even though we bought a Dutch game. The game was not visible in English, but it was when we set the language to Dutch.

ONLY DOWNLOAD IF YOU HAVE: SUBMARINE BEHIND ENEMY LINES Quite useless if you state on the box to download the app and then you don't even have the game available and still need to go online to their website instead. Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Deserves nothing.

No support for game pack with Bloody Mary, The Little Girl, and House By The Lake. Was lucky to have an old iPad around, that version of the app supports all products.

Didn't make it within the hour but got through most of it without hints. Had alot of fun playing it. Hard enough to be fun. Not too hard to give up. If you enjoy at home escape room games, I would highly recommend this game.

Okay, first. It wouldn't even let me play an escape room! For example, the Asylum one, it would give me the options of "Play music" and "We escaped!"

Couldn't get a game to play, just kept having me down load and then stayed at the game option page. Not sure what to do to start playing.

FYI for the people who have the board game. You need to select the country flag that you bought the game in order access all the games in your pack. Hope this helps someone as we were confused for a bit

I really like the games, especially the two with VR set up. It really brings me into the scenario. Best escape room game during lock down time! Hope there will be more VR games

click the globe icon on the bottom left to change language. this will also change available audio files. sometimes this appears to reset.

Excellent entertainment for people who love solving problems in Escape Rooms and can't always get out to escape elsewhere, but at home.

The appnworks, looks and feels a little old, but still works. Love the escape rooms and I like how these add an extra layer to them!

We did asylum and it took us 2 hours, it was really hard but fun, would highly recommend. Its a full escape room in t A tiny box.
