Edit 5/21/22: absolutely worse since the update. You can't skip the ads now. Guess they don't care since it's the only app that works with this DVR system. Used to work well. Ads made it pointless. You get a motion notification, and click it. Instead of quickly going to camera feeds you get a 5 second pause between click to video. If there has to be ads, whatever. But why are they so intrusive?

Edit: The PC app (Ver EseeCloud_Setup_3.0.3_20200319) is now working with Windows 11. Locking up fixed a while back. So I'm back to 5 stars. I have been using this app for years (since around 2011) and except for a very short time where the app was locking up (which has been fixed now) and that the PC version of the app needs updated to work with Windows 11, I have not had any problems. I don't know why other people are having problems. They might be using a different brand of security cameras than I am. I'm not sure but for over 11 years it has been working for me.

Latest update is a bust. When trying to select camera that appears in lower left of the screen in the multi-camera view a translucent button prevents me from selecting that camera. I have no idea what that button does as it's not compatible with my NVR system. So I can't say what type of button it is other than it's translucent. It covers too much of the screen with no way to remove in settings and it makes it impossible for me to select the camera in the lower left side of the screen.

4/24/22 Edit: You can switch off the advertisements and change the setting to - not be Max brightness!! Thank you for listening. -- Loved the software before being forced into the Advertisement update! Now there is a splash screen, and it is super slow to load the cameras. I would love to have a one time pay option, and get rid of the delays the Ads cause. Also to have it be the light / dark theme, so I'm not blinded by the white screen everytime I open it.

Shame, a decent camera system is let down by the app. The forced advertisement causes delays. It defeats the purpose of the alarm and 2way call if you have to wait that long. Sometimes the app does not open at all because of the ads. I can't wait to change my security system to something that doesn't use this rubbish app.

The latest app update is horrible. I don't like how I can't turn off motion detection from human detection. And the app has to be restarted when loaded from a notification. Because my attached camera doesn't load. This never happened before this update Previously the setup was absolutely horrible. It took many resets and starting over to get the camera to be recognized by the app

It just keeps getting worse! Full-size ads are back upon opening, and you have to try and figure out how to close them quickly. This was an overall average app, but this is too much. We open the app to see things quickly not to have giant ads plastered everywhere.

Why did I spend a fortune on a home security camera system only to use an app that's loaded with full page ads... and pop-ups telling me about the REASONS for all the ads? When your home is being broken into, you need to get to your live video feed immediately, not sit here waiting for giant ads to load eating up your time and data limits. Ugh. The video has a giant black circle on it, far bigger than ever needed. It appears even if your cameras don't have any pan tilt zoom features. Ugh

I generally like the app and don't have any issues with actually viewing the cameras. My main qualms are just that the ad that I have to watch now is super annoying, especially if I'm trying to quickly open the camera. Also really really annoying that opening a camera forces my phone (Samsung Galaxy) brightness ALL the way up and I can't change it. Really bothersome at night.

I can't say much even compared to other IP camera apps the quality of the interface as well as the overall experience is the severe pain in the end. Humanoid detection was also a a mess no matter, I I'm also required to pay for cloud service? And why is the interface different than that of the NVR?

Take the ads away!! Since the ads this app has been so slow, now I can't access my camera as fast as I used to because it freezes on the window that tells me why there's ads, before the actual ad....... I used to love the app until this new update. So disappointed and frustrated.

Since latest update not sending push notifications and still wont allow to set screen detection area and differ from human detection, just picks up anything moving a step backwards, great camera terrible app, looking for another app like ICSEE that works brilliantly with my other camera

Garbage. Every single update they've done has made this app worse. I can't can't use the playback on my security system anymore without being hooked up to my wifi at home which completely defeats the purpose of being able to use app at work to keep an eye on my home.

The alert for motion detection isn't accurate app doesn't send you any kind of alert until after the motion has passed,and when you do get the motion alert and you look on video record play back the motion has already passed and the video doesn't show anything but a glimpse so you are not getting a accurate picture of what's causing the motion alert, this needs to be fixed ASAP because there's no reason to have motion alerts if it's not going to show you what caused it.

Totally useless. It was working but lost connection to the camera which was connected to the cloud and it can not connect anymore. It works only over wifi no matter how I try to set it up and do the same things as before while it was working. I am so mad. The camera is working well, it connects to wifi without problems, setup is easy, it would do anything if this pos software or cloud or whatever system could handle it like it did before. Local connection is OK (like I said, the device is working), but you can not make any setups there, only to view the camera picture, not even the ptz works. And the web access is also a joke, it would like to use flash which is unavailable in 2022 (however partial settings, like ptz working). MWX345WF model.

update for app on chromebook still does not work loads then just crashes out They updated today 3/24/2022 still will not work on chrome book... worked without issues 2 months ago.... 2 more updates and still just chrashes and shuts when you hit the agree button! another update 4/7/2022 still does not work on chrome book even if you turn on all access... just closses application when you hit agree to terms. :(

The new update is terrible. App won't load. Constantly says "no video". This app has made my camera system useless. Did not have any issues until the upgrade. Have no choice but to switch to a different system that does not use this app. Wish I could give zero stars.

New update should be thrown in a toilet and flushed. Laggs extremely bad. Was very happy with previous software. With sound on can hear gears popping in cam while attempting to pan tilt going to end of travel because of delayed response then over response. Going to cause mechanical problems.

Using Hiseeu Camera. Everything works well, but when the camera records and send alerts to my phone (Samsung Galaxy S20), it does not make a notification sound. It started out making the sounds sporatically, but over time stopped all together. Restarting the camera seems to help for a few hours. Even when the notification alert is sounded, it is usually 2-5 minutes after the incident. Useless if you are depending on this to stop a breakin, or theft.

Disgusted! I agree with other review; you're opening the app to immediately see your feeds, and now w\these updates, you're FORCED to wait for an ad to load, and a msg why there are ads - just SHOW THE AD like every other app in the store! Then your screen goes to FULL BRIGHTNESS blinding you at night in the dark w\no way to reduce it - I'll report this to Google, iOS doesn't allow this app to take over control of screen brightness! App ruins the experience - I avoid all updates!!

I've used this app for over a year now on a CCTV system. The only function that is missing for me is to turn the IR settings on and off through the app. With the snow being so bright the night vision isn't activating automatically at night and the video feed become useless. The alarm snapshots seem to be delayed too far the wherr there seems to be nothing in the screen (recent issue) but when you play the feedback there is movement and a person in it. Overall app functions for it's intended use

The new update is appauling and doesn't work well at all. Fails to load a lot of the time, cannot search back through time easily as in the old app. The old app was way better.

No control of NVR settings. Playback function very hard to select start time. No way to change playback speed for faster scanning. Seems incomplete. Latest update now includes ads.

The new update delays the opening of the app by showing an ad. I don't care if there are ads in the app but making it delay the opening is a bad idea. The app is for security systems, people open it to view their cameras and now they have to watch an ad before they see them. So if you are trying to quickly look at the camera it is now impossible. If they don't fix this I will change systems.
