ESET Parental Control

After a few try-outs, I found this app and searched no more. It's user friendly and functional. It'll work perfectly for those parents who want to control screen time without turning into control freaks =] UPDATE: The app started malfunctioning and the customer support couldn't solve the problem. No sense in prolonging the subscription.

Good concept but more often than not, notifications on alerts of the child leaving a zone come between 20 minutes and 2 hours which defies the main purpose for us. It's disappointing as ESET is pretty solid in their core offering.

Overall good but with small issues. The report is not always up to date and also the granularity of setting allwed time is by 15 min which is not enough for me.

This app is good but I think you should add "Break Time" for example you can play limited app for 2 hours total but if you turn it on then you need to break 10 minutes every 30 minutes . And after finish 10 minutes break then you can play again for next 30 minutes and have 10 minutes again until your time over . I think it's going to be a good update , anyway it's work perfectly on Android version 11 since in this version we have admin setting .

It's an okay app but would like to see what pages your child visits on the internet if at all possible.

Perfect for controlling what my kids watch and play. I can manage their phones from my device no matter where we are.

The patental control setting is constantly switching off on my child's phone, which makes the app useless.

Liking the app so far but I can't seem to change the fun and games time restrictions from what I initially set. I must have updated it and saved it 30 times and yet every time I go back in its reverted back to what it was. Have sent an email but no response yet. Will not be paying once the free trial is up if this doesn't get fixed.

This app used to work really well, I have been using it for years. Around 10 days ago the "instant block" feature stopped working properly. I raised this with support, followed request to submit log files for all devices etc. The ticket got "escalated" a few days ago and I have heard nothing since. No indication of whether the issue is actually being addressed or just ignored.

Half the time it doesn't work. You want to stop the mobile of a child and it just doesn't work. It just seems that many times the controlled phone is not taking the parental settings. Even worse, as a parent the app says the phone is blocked. Also after synchronising. But the other phone is not blocked at all. Hence, somewhere on the line between parent's and child's phone a lot of information is lost. I have the free version, still use it for those few times it does work, but never ever I would pay anything for this app. It is just unrelaible and you don't know if it just worked or not.

Good app to control access on devices but a lot of things could be clearer and easier.

It is not the total control I had hoped for, child can do apps that for some reason the time does not count¿ Update after ESET response; It's not about being smart and disabling the app. It's plain simple that it doesn't count some app's. I was thinking that once time was up time was up, but then I watched time be up and there are several app's that still work and it allows the child to continue to use the device. App's like coloring etc.

This app has worked pretty well, however it consistently has trouble locating my child's device when other apps such as find my phone can locate it in seconds. Also, I am unable to add time to my child's usage on an as needed basis either via the app or in the website. I get a "communication failed" error message. The customer service is terrible as it is just only via email and they respond with stock messages instead of actual solutions to the real issue. Additionally my child is unable to remove the notification that constantly displays how much game time is left. There are no settings available to the child to modify these notifications. Based on ask these issues, I will not be renewing my subscription. There are other more responsive apps that do a better job.

Outstanding app brilliantly designed and very well thought-out

Not working very well when it does. The UI is decent but I have to restart my son's phone for any changes to take effect, though, to be fair it is hard to find an app like this that does work well because they typically start off with a pathetic 3 day trial period that doesn't allow you to really see that it works. If you can fix this problem it would be a really good app.

Love the app. Been using for years. Right now having an activation problem though. I enter my license key on the phone and the web page. It says ok activated on both the phone and the web application and then won't let me use any premium features. Keeps telling me my trial has ended and to try premium. Over and over. Can't see to get it to take.

The best that I found, hope developers provide some more info from child devices.

Great app. It would be great if it was working on iphone as well.

I have found out, that my daughter is able to unistall the app from her mobile!!! She just repeatedly pressed and confirmed the "uninstall" function...maybe 40 times!!! Very disappointing... (I have the version which I pay for!) And reaction of ESET?: Your technical support request was not addressed via a correct channel. In order to resolve this issue in timely manner we recommend to submit a case by filling in a technical support form found in the "Help and support" section in your version.

I would rate it somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. It works pretty well, I already tried Microsoft Family stuff, Amazon stuff and the Google family. None of them have the features I need. It's add free, which is important for me. The web filter is too expensive though. The only two wishes I would have are: - Parental app for iOS (the pure web interface has major issues) - One more category in which I can put apps (currently only two)

It's great when it works, but unfortunately it keeps losing it's accessibility privilege every day or two, which causes it to stop protecting the device. I keep putting it back and even Parental Controls is device administrator, it still does it. I've disabled all power saving features in a bit to solve this but it has not worked.

Please put protection on battery optimization option...at installation in child's phone - ask to select "Do not optimize" in battery settings and then password protect that option too. By default "optimize" and "freeze in background" & "automatically optimize" is ticked and after certain time the accessibilty keeps turning off on its own. That makes the app usless. Your app is the best, just fix that one issue asap. I want to buy it. Why does my accessibility keep turning off again & again?

This application does not work. I have no idea why would someone release product/application that is not working. It's a waste of time. I downloaded it and set on kids devices as I read some good reviews. I have just removed it from all devices and going back to previous app. At least it was working though more expensive than this one.

Is Ok, but it is only room for improvement, like unsilence child device, or find device in the house using ringtone. And not working correctly on Xiaomi T10 device.
