Sound quality is extremely poor. Every call I have had using it ends quickly we me calling them back on a cell or landline. Sometimes when I am on the office phone the cell will continue to ring and the red "end call" button is not responsive. I have to power off the cell to get it to stop. Will probably uninstall.
Works well but we have alot of bandwidth. We switch to Mobile data in the office because our security appliance won't let the same IP loop out, then in, then out again for the call, or whatever, only Mobile data in office. Calling office extensions directly is very convenient.
THIS APP IS DOGSHIT As with most new ESI products, there are many, many kinks to be ironed out; as usual, ESI has decided to use their paying customers as beta testers. 3+ hours of troubleshooting later, I was finally able to make and receive calls on a customer's PBX; all I had to do was expose port 5060 on the router (great security guys, really top notch)
Stops working and works intermittent, then I have to reboot my phone.
Overall the recent April 5th eMobile update from ESI and the eSIP call server F/W .99 upgrade along with all the recent Endpoint F/W updates to my office phones in conjunction with this release all is working very well. It has been a work in progress for ESI, I am very patient and feel this mobile client is heading in the right direction now. I do feel that the sound quality is getting much better, the delay and latency is not nearly as noticeable as was before. I did upgrade my Droid to the Android 11 software with the new 3.1 UI so the Samsung is performing so much better now helps a great deal, along with the ESI eMobile improvements on the App, this should make for a far more stable and useful experience. I will keep using it and report back later. so far in very limited tests it is working well.
