What would we do with out this app! Sit in the dark searching for torches, that's what. Very useful app! 2 suggestions/pointd: 1. push notifications sometimes come through twice. Not sure if that's a common thing or not. Just thought I would raise. 2. Could you make the stage filter a multi select? With stages changing all the time, useful to compare a select few. Rather than 1 or all. Keep it up!

Under the circumstances and the incredible task to co-ordinate all areas for switching on and off, AND to have access to an APP...I think you are doing a Sterling job. Sometimes we get last minute advices for cut-offs, BUT likewise, also sometimes, a relief when our time of cut-off is overlooked. LIFE...the good with the bad. WELL DONE TO YOU OVERALL!!!

App works great and gives warning in a timely fashion. Only problem is I live out in the sticks and on a good day the cell reception is very bad. When loadshedding occurs, all signal, voice and data is gone. I cant go on the app to see when loadshedding starts or ends because the app needs to be online. This is a little frustrating to need to have electricity to see when I will not have electricity. Please make the app available while offline and I will give it a 5star rating.

Must say my original review of this app was bad, but they have come along in leaps and bounds. This app really has improved and is by far the best load shedding app out there. Gives you full schedule, can add multiple zones, gives you reminders and warnings. Also takes into consideration City of cape Town residents that is usually 1 stage lower than eskom. Hats off for the devs of this app. Amazing turn around. Keep up the good work.

Has improved so much over the years. Thank you for the ongoing development and bug fixes! My only confusion sometimes occurs, when there is a change in the stage at the exact time when my area is due for loadshedding, however I can see the logic in that the app does not determine the outages - it merely reports it, the best it can, with given information by power suppliers and that it still comes down to the exact time each area is switched off and on again by them. Edit: They fixed the layout & added a "filter by stage". App isn't so slow anymore, either. Thanks, team! Down from 5 stars to 3, because: 1) The app is now slow as hell [...]. 2) What's with the huge font size all of a sudden? 3) The previous layout where you could see at least two days' schedules on one screen was also better; this spaced out layout feels like I'm in Gr. 1 again. I'd suggest giving an option to "hide" Stage 4-8 to condense the view, or to just go back to the previous layout.

Very accurate and current. Has really helped me to plan ahead. Only thing I would change is to be able to enter your street and area to confirm your Zone on the app. I had to ask a friend that has the app to confirm the Zone after I could not find it. Other than that it is brilliant.

For some reason the app showed my area is outdated but when I selected the area to update it (as I've done before) it removed it from the list completely. When searched for my area to keep receiving updates it said "no areas found" You believe how much I appreciated this app. I've even recommended it to my colleagues so please fix this issue.

Was a great app until today. All of a sudden it does not remember all the sites that you have input for load shedding. Now everytime you open the app you have to select your sites again. Very irritating!!! 12-5-2022 Wow! Thank you for the quick response to fix this problem.

This is THE BEST app EVER! The name alone had me! After downloading, it became my go-to app for anything about loadshedding. If I hear something, I go to check on the app which has never failed to verify what I considered to be hearsay before. Besides the great new Community feature, another would be a News section specifically related to Eskom, loadshedding, alternate energy and electricity saving ideas. Just saying.

Notifications sent and accurate with the times. Would you be able to add a feature to say if power still down due to outages during loadshedding. That would be really cool if you could, even though that is not really the purpose of the app.

Brilliant app, 99% accuracy if not 100%! Though, after I updated it today, it won't let me add any suburbs? I'm searching the suburb, it shows in the search bar, but when I try to add it, it doesn't show on the homepage. Please help!

Sharp and opportunistic during difficult times. That is where and how you seize an opportunity. Once you have mastered anger, frustration and being gatvol you can use it to do what the developers did. Before the intended name was in use it was realised that people will distance themselves from it. Excellent app by being at the right place to take the opportunity. The accuracy of the app is almost 100%.

One of the best apps ever!. Would be great if it had a map selection function for the names of the exact suburbs are not always know. For example. Ext 109 etc.. would be nice to select the suburbs you may be in on any given day. Not necessarily just your home's bases..🤓

Edit: App working great now, I get most notifications and that's very helpful. Old: Apps was amazing when it started but now I don't get notifications about upcoming load shedding in my area like I used to, case and point, we just got load shedding now and I didn't know it was coming otherwise I would have charged my phone! If this is a settings issue, please someone help me and I will gladly give it 5 stars. Please and thank you :)

My area is never right with your times! Not once! Ive tried going to other zones, can only get one other and that isn't correct either. If I punch in different sections of our town screen says no info or no access. What is the point of having this app if I can't get my area very disappointed Ann Sequeira

Easily the most reliable and useful App on my phone. The few Ads you'll see aren't invasive and the App only pushes notifications when absolutely necessary. Highly recommend to locals and tourists alike. The UI & UE needs a bit of refinement to make the App truly granny-proof but beyond that, it is brilliant!

This is definitely the best load shedding app out there. I've used it for over three years and watched as the design and functionality improved. HOWEVER, its attempt to enter the social messaging space through its community functionality is flawed. Users' experiences of using it have not been thoroughly tested, there are no safeguards regarding users`real names or personal data, there is no evidence of a support functionality being in place, & forums need to be moderated by bots or humans.

The App has been updated quite a few times during the past 2 years. The EskomSePush App is now more informative and very reliable. I like the interactive features which allows you to communicate with other registered members on your street and in nearby neighbourhoods. Excellent and very necessary App which we need to survive the perpetual loadshedding from Eskom.

Excellent app, gives accurate and all requited information. Can sometimes be slow when loadshedding updates are sent out. Increasing to 5 - don't have delays anymore, added some cool new features. Haven't had any problems with it for at least 12 months.

Was a good app but became pathetic.! Ads covers so much that lie app becomes useless. Can't spell out an area. You can only select from the list and that's even impossible since the ads covers the list so you can't even read or scroll the list. You became greedy!!! Now you want over R500 subscription fees!! Bye bye!

Reply2: Re-install did the trick. I can add suburbs now. Reply: sorry guys, still not working, updated, but I cannot reAdd Suburbs. Previous: The App was great and very useful until the last update; all my suburbs are gone and I cannot seem to add them back again.

Downloaded it today. It looks great. I hope it remains accurate on a daily basis. The app is great. updates to the status changes are immediate and the detailed information helps us to plan. The advanced notifications are fantastic. Superb app.

Dropped a star because the app is showing a link to a video, taking up so much space that I have to scroll to select my region to see the schedule. Please don't do that. Back to 5 because it seems to have disappeared :)

My original review was bad, but I must admit, it has improved dramatically. Every now and then I get frustrated because schedules are not updated, but overall a great app and I love the layout. Well done xx

I often find the app takes awhile to update to the latest announcements from Eskom. Also it can be confusing by incorporating the different stages, rather just show by the area selected, what times the outages will be.
