This app is always crashing. Most of the times I don't even get notifications even if someone text me or call me. Due to this I'm missing some important conversations. This is happening at high speed internet. We are having business account with Vonage.
Suddenly if I turn on mute this device or mute all devices when I turn it off it does not give me my available status again so I am here receiving no calls no matter what I do I have logged out and back in I have done agent log in I even deleted and reinstalled the app but none of that works. The second I reach out through the help portal I magically have the green status again please fix this I try to do with without reaching out to you for something that shouldn't happen.
Overall great app and works well with the desktop version. However, after several minutes of talk, the app mutes and can't unmute it. And the app screen disappears during the conversation and you need to search through your apps to find it again. So clients could be talking and think you left the conversation because they can't hear you. Please fix this!! Thanks!
It is the only app that receives phone calls through Bluetooth but doesn't act like it. FB messenger and WhatsApp pause your music and show up on Bluetooth car radios as a phone call but this just makes the music start playing on your phone and in the background of the call and I have to grab my phone while driving to pause the music and swipe to answer. It's rediculous.
Calls get disconnected, other user/agent is unable to hear the voice even when using wifi Or volte. This is the worst app ever for calling. Can i rate you zero stars
If I'm listening to music when i get a phone call, the music is still playing after i answer a call. Also sometimes If I'm usig headphones and i get a call, it takes whatever was playing on my headphones and blasts it on my phones speaker instead.
Arguably the worst support I have received in 40 years I am alive. Fully chatty when it comes to sales, but the minute they lock you down to a contract they disappear and never answer a call again. Cancel my contract immediately or I will be escalating the matter further. You can find who I am from surname Absolute shambles and a scam
so far the Vonage service has been great. it was a great service years ago when I had my old business; but I'm glad they now offer a cell phone app so I don't need 2 phones.
Call does not ring. Only a missed call notification is received. Text messages don't ring either. Numbers once put in DNC list at times can never be taken out of the list
Just downloaded this and as soon as it goes to the login screen it says " no internet connection available ". This is a junk app and a waste of time. Do not download. Get something else.
Clarity for caller is not clear with this app. They have a hard time hearing me & said I sound like I'm in a tunnel. Also it has an echo affect.
Excellent system to have a business line and keep your personal number personal. The text, voicemail and phone options all work well. I have never had a problem with connections and clarity of conversations.
It doesn't store numbers in the calls list. Voicemails for the same user are not stored on different devices.
does not sync well with desk top phone, cell phone and web base application. If I save a phone # on the web application it does not record that customer on the desktop phone. other than that I love it!!
Not working. I'm using Android 9. Error message No Unternet Connection even I have internet.
The app works well. I can even switch networks while on a call. The only complaint are SMS(TXT) messages are not received especially from automated systems like banks and utility companies. The messages simply never arrive. There is often a 1 to 3 second delay on voice calls which can be very annoying. This may be a function of my local network however I don't suffer this issue when using other voice services like WhatsApp or Skype on the same network.
New user to the app and so far it works fairly well, easy to use and has easy access to the admin portal even. But I have to take away 2 stars for two major bugs in the app. 1) app does open texts, its just a blank screen when you open a text but works fine on the desktop program. 2) when you block a number for all extensions, if they call again it still allows the call through and will even ring your phone, might happen with desktop program even, not sure.
Technically does it's job but with tons of bugs such as you can't actually see when someone is calling unless you switch to the app meaning I have to have it open on my phone full-time. Even if it's open and the phone locks you will not be able to see who is calling. Also the UI is very counterproductive in order to just dial a number for instance you have to switch to the phone tab and then click new call and then click new call again just to be able to enter in numbers.
It's ok, but recently I can't my text messages when they come in. I open the app and open the individual chat, and it's blank, but in the preview section, u can see I got a message. I've tried to contact them but no response. They sent an email telling me to clear cache and force stop the app.... but this app doesn't have the settings they are asking me to change????? still no idea how to resolve this.
I use Vonage VOIP service for about a year and had no issues so far but this app is simply horrible! The worst thing about this app is that it only works if I am connected to WiFi, without wifi it loses the connection and I don't receive calls although I can still use it and make calls which makes it even more ironic! Update: They fixed the issue in the new update which was basically working only on Wifi, please don't mess it up again! Please...
Very happy with the app. Works well, and a good way to get work calls and texting onto your cell phone without having to give out your personal cell number. Great for BYOD companies. Call quality is very good. Only difference I've noticed is a longer pause/delay between each person talking. But that is really a VOIP limitation and not unique to Vonage.
December 2020: Worked great until a week or two ago. I worry that t-mobile is blocking my vonage app. It suddenly has "no calls connectivity" on T-Mobile, every band. But if I toggle my phone to sprint, it works, even with almost no service. I wish they would reach out about this issue. What is the point of this mobile app...that only works on wifi now. Jan 2021 Edit: I was able to get calls connectivity back on all carriers by installing an older version of the app. Clearly they could fix this. They just broke something.
The app is a disaster - it's slow, clunky, causes major lags during calls, drops calls out of the blue, has features that don't function (try getting a personal ringtone to work if you're a glutton for frustration), doesn't identify the difference between group & individual chat conversations...you get the idea. Far from the stellar tech they advertise. A complete disappointment.
Delena, I have the same troubles. I was told that this happens because the app is really better supported by using wifi instead of mobile data. I feel if there is an app why not make it comparable for both. If one is on the go the app should work just the same, especially paying it every month. The notifications do not pop up and calls are missed. Text messages come late. Not good for business. I was told to uninstall and reinstall the app. I hope it works better.
Of all my frustrations with Vonage in general and this app in particular, the most frustrating is making a call. It's a phone app so surely the main screen has a dial pad/contacts lists/most recent calls? Nope! To make a call I open the app, click on calls, click on '+', click on make new call, dial the number. No memory of previously dialed numbers. Argh
Phone service on cell has constant drops and even on desk top. But that is not the worst if it. 5 days of reaching out and couldn't get anyone to show a bit of care. Beware. I also got an extra extension that ended up being not needed. They told me if I want to drop that extension it will be $900. Remember the old cell phone days when they held you hostage rather that showing customer service. There us a description of what it's like at vonage.
