Worst customer service ever! Called couple weeks ago to activate card. Guy said it was good. Tried using it with the app and still not working. Called back and waited 10 minute then the lady said she had to transfer me to that department even though I didn't hear that option on the list. Then instead of transferring me I was put on hold so had to hang up and try again. Do yourself a favor and do air miles instead. Much better service

This is a very low quality and poorly designed app. Total waste of time. The app starts, then asks if you do or don't have a card. If you try to exit or cancel it continually loops, won't let one exit. It has to be force closed every time. Not worth the effort, total nuisance!!

Only installed this so I can convert my points to optimum as per the email I received but could not get the app to work. Came back to read the reviews to see I'm not the only one having issues. A functional app might increase my satisfaction with Esso but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Uninstalled 3 minutes after install.

I initially liked this app and the rewards program. However, the offer challenges seem to increase to a point that's not achievable and you can't get anymore litres on your 2.5¢ privileges card. I'm referring to the litres required to be purchased and car washes that need to be purchased. Seems like the convenience store challenges are getting to that point as well. The initial incentive is gone and I'm contemplating whether to maintain this rewards program unless this changes.

Useless. It can and will screw up your essoextra account. The app is very buggy and prone to crashing which naturealy will lock up your account. The app does not remember login detail correctly with will screw up your account and when you can't login in the app is useless for finding esso stations or managing your account. The app rock at wasting my time however.

This app is utter trash. Such a waste of time. The landscape mode doesn't engage, so you can't display your barcode in order to redeem or collect points. Rendering it useless.

All my cards have dissapeared from my app. My points and litres are still there and I can't add a new card. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that did nothing. My other problem is when I purchase car washes they rarely show up in app. The main reason for buying fuel at Esso is to get free car washes.

May be a nice app if I would be able to enter it, but cannot due to the fact I appearently do not even know my own password. I have now spent more hours resetting my password in hopes I could maybe enter this app, but it constantly loads and never ends up resetting, I go through my laptop to access my points because it will accept my correct password. This app is garbage

Bad enough that it logs you off and you have to re-enter it at the most inconvenient time Now the digital card doesn't work when you rotate your phone So you have to rely on your old physical card or hope you saved a screenshot of it before the it stopped working And if you try to use a third party application that works well with many other loyalty programs (i.e. Petro Canada) You'll get told by the gas station attendant that it does work when that person in question is barely knowledgeable 0

It was worked fine until Feb 6, cannot show cards information even you rotate the phone, cannot used apps. I have privileged card and gift cards that came in electronics, I very rely the apps to use your service. Everytime the apps got update you need to re-enter the account information, inconvenience.

Using on a Samsung s10+... I was logged in fine and was one day kicked out. I can't reset my password through the app and now My user ID has a permanent block on it... so I cant even try to log in. I went as far as to getting a new card and tried to set it up. The app says there is an unexpected application error. This is the worst app I've ever used... ever.

This app sucks. Request a new card via the in app option, yet the cards never show up. Also, the app never keeps you logged in, so when you go to use the app, you have to fumble around in the store trying to remember log in details.

Useful and equally defective. Signs out automatically every now and then. Making it difficult to use the application right when we need it. The app is the worst in terms of usability.

Have not had any issues with the app and it is a lot more convenient to accept offers, see your card balances and reload. We did have some confusion for reloading as it is done differently than on web but it makes more sense in the app when you know how it's now done.

Everything was working fine till today. I can log into the app but can not access my reward card when I push the use card button. Furthermore, screen will auto rotate although my phone's orientation did not change. Fix the bug.

App gets stuck. Shifts to landscape mode to access cards then will not respond when pressing use card icon. Calling 1 800 # is useless as they have zero IT knowledge and have no idea what to suggest. Gassing up at Shell is far less complicated.

lots of times this app logs me out and then i have to re log in at the counter while others are waiting in line behind me to pay for their gas. its annoying. Then half the time the bar code wont scan. Some clerks know how to persist and enter it manually somehow, while others just give up, and i dont get the points for my purchase. All this takes time too. Bad system. I would like to know how to pay at the pump and still earn points.

I thought i was going crazy with remembering my password. I keep getting logged out and can never use my app at the cashier. Dont know how many points i have given up. And worst thing is everytime i get logged out my password somehow changes on me. I go to the website to change my password and am able to log in through the website. Just as i try to log into my app with the new password it says my password is incorrect. I cant believe its taking so long to fix this issue!

Not a terrible app but does have flaws. I just tried to reset my password, and when I entered the new password it kept telling me my password was incorrect. I just deleted the app. I can just as easily keep track of my esso points on my receipts. I sent have time for this ridiculous password shenanigans

Does not work (or I don't know how it works). I have linked cards (gruesome process), accepted offers, used cards at the pump, 6 times now and the POINTS ARE STILL NOT SHOWING UP! It's either broken or I don't know what I am doing wrong (I followed all LOGICAL instructions). Esso, have you heard of USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNERS? No? Use them! Update, I asked an attendant to show me the process at a pump. So he did, AND STILL NO POINTS!

It purposely kicks you out when you try to use it so you have to hold the line and login again. It works fine everywhere, only when you are close to the station 🤦🏿‍♂️

I installed the App on my Samsung S7 with Android 8.0.0 installed and am unable to login with either the Number or email address. Get a message to call Customer Service! I am able to login with my email and password successfully on my laptop but not through the App on my phone! A major gas company in Canada looking to grow their business needs to pay attention to the LONG LIST of ONE STARS!!! Your APP is a FAILURE! FIX IT!

Garbage app! Says I can't make anymore login attempts yet I just installed the app and tried once. Said to reset password or contact customer service. I successfully reset my password and get the same message. Why tell me to reset my password if that won't work? Morons!

latest update is October 2018? it looks like you have severe version control issues and have released an older version as an "update". the app refuses to let me login after having bounced me out. i did reset the password on the website which works fine.

Useless piece of (₩App... everytime I open this App it asks for card number, email, and sign in information. I use a Samsung Note 8, so sign inputting my information is a one time deal. It is time to wipe it off and clear some valuable space for more useful gadgets.

Can't access cards through app. When I hit use cards, it changes the orientation on my phone, but doesn't display the card. Furthermore, the orientation is then stuck even after rotating my phone.

ita been very glitchy tonight. cant log in. and it keeps flickering the tick box where it says save password keeps flickering. Cant type fast enough to log in, what i type disapears fast. just this app only. i uninstalled then reinstalled. didnt help. using samsung s9+ . please fix

The worst....have tried this app several times and it does NOT work. Tried calling and cant get anyone that speaks fluent english on the phone to help. Horrible experience!

Useless. Can't log in ever. Easier to just use the website. Called the number they give you if you can't sign it. Totally useless. Just kept being told there was nothing wrong with my card. I know there is nothing wrong with the card. The app is useless.

App is EOL after 17th, to convert Esso Points to Optimum, go to Esso Points site and read up first, sign in and follow instructions. For existing Optimum members you'll need your sign in info so pls collect your info first. check your emails from Esso, it's ont done throught app. Hope this helps I'm not an employee of these companies
