ESV Audio Holy Bible App FreeThe British Standard Version (ESV) stands in the traditional mainstream of British Bible translations within the last half-millennium. The fountainhead of this stream was William Tyndale's New Testament of 1526; marking its course were the Ruler Wayne Version of 1611 (KJV), the British Revised Version of 1885 (RV), the North american Standard Version of 1901 (ASV), and the Modified Standard Version of 1952 and 1971 (RSV). For the reason that stream, faithfulness to the written text and vigorous quest for accuracy were coupled with ease, beauty, and dignity of manifestation. Our goal has gone to carry frontward this legacy for a fresh century. To the end each portrayed expression and expression in the ESV has been carefully weighed against the initial Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, to ensure the fullest accuracy and clarity also to avoid under-translating or overlooking any nuance of the original text. What and phrases themselves grow from the Tyndale-King James legacy, and most from the RSV recently, with the 1971 RSV text providing the starting place for our work. Archaic words has been taken to current use and significant corrections have been manufactured in the translation of key text messages. But throughout, our goal has gone to wthhold the depth of meaning and long lasting language that contain made their indelible symbol on the English-speaking world and also have defined the life span and doctrine of the cathedral during the last four centuries.

Great app for helping bring the Bible "to life", but the ads are annoying. Is there a paid version so I can get away from these ads? Nothing breaks concentration more than being with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and then being attacked by Mobile Strike...

Easy to understand the scripture of our heavenly father God. No ads pop ups and it runs very smooth no buffering. I like the fact that it's have different people's reading the scripture. I love to read the bible but this is a awesome audio app because you can let it read for you anywhere you at.

I like that it has the ESV version. I'd give it 5 stars but the voices are just too silly and distracting sometimes. I'd rather just hear one serious reader. Also no way to bookmark, as others have pointed out.
