This game had me hooked since I started around three years ago, Its about time I left a comment regarding my experience, From a young age I was hooked on collecting and play card games alike and spending hours battling with friends and local meet ups, This game brings the best out of you and you soon become egger to collect all the cards and build so many possibilities of a deck thems, Yes you can buy the campaigns! I did an feel it's more out of my support for the game, But can do Free also. 🥳
Game is not free to play, year long job. Looks nice, plays nice, but way too expensive for me. You can spend a year to catch up if you want or pay a hefty sum to catch up. If the campaigns were free I'd be fine but considering they do the scum hide needed cards behind campaign pay wall it's just dumb. Same problems elder scrolls card game had which funnily enough was made by this company. Guess they also didn't learn from that game. Wish the best to those wanting to massive time sink.
After playing for weeks, I am still unable to understand the mechanics of the cards, it just makes the game so confusing, I had it on my phone and I barely played it because of it, due to it's large size it caused me space problems so I uninstalled it... way too confusing.
One of the best digital card games on the market, with tons of options for decks, modes of play, and fair economy, that rewards effort more than pay to win.
A good card game overall. Lately the server has been slow and drops are more common causing losses.
Easily a 5 star game if it weren't for the absolutely infuriating way the devs set it up to cause you to lose rather than risk you getting an actual reward without paying for it. It does NOT matter how good you are or how well you build a deck. You will ALWAYS lose rather than get a decent reward. Usually, this comes in the form of drawing 1-2 sigils after 10+ turns despite 1/3rd of your deck being sigils. Sometimes it's sigils only for 10+ turns instead. NEVER spend money on this garbage.
The game is hard to search in YT and even in google for tips and contents. After playing it on and off, i tried almost all ccg in the app store but still this game is the bast. If only the devs would try their best to market the game. It has a small but active community. The game has a vast collection of terms and mechanics both simple and complicated. Theres always room for different playstyle and creativity. The game is almost perfect. It just needs a little push to gain more players.
Since WOTC, is busy screwing up MTG Area. This is the best your gonna get. Update: Power creep has gotten outa hand, this game isn't very fair anymore.
Really good card game if your looking for one that you can basically play for free the whole time and get all the cards you want and be able to compete with people that's played this for years this is a good one for you been playing for about 6 years now and is one of my favorites so download it and enjoy your experience
Eternal is the best of both magic and hearthstone blended into one of the funnest collectible card games I have ever played. Being a digital only game, it is able to pull off such mechanics that magic can only dream of.
At first the game appears very generous with lots of free cards and decks to get you started. However after about a month of casual play I hit a ceiling. Games are won by having access to a few key legendaries that are also extremely hard to get access to. So, I put in $100 to get packs at some point that hardly unlocked enough shiftstone to craft the cards I needed. So I feel stuck. Since the economy is so unforgiving I'm nervous deciding what legendaries to craft.
The most content-rich, accessible card game on the market. Tons of viable decks, tons of playstyles, plenty of free cards and game modes. Held back only by the MtG style mana system that relies on RNG to keep you playing cards on curve.
The game mechanic is fun, but the difficulty increases constantly and there is no way to stay in your comfort zone. It becomes a bit frustrating after a while. You will get less rewards, because the NPCs beat you with better stuff you probably can't get, but if you can accept that it is a fun way to waste your time, if you're waiting for something or someone IRL. However, it's mostly a game of luck: For example, you can't prepare for your Gauntlet opponents, because they are secret and random.
A good game, but the minimum deck size is too high; this makes all games super inconsistent. a deck built to do a thing may not even see the cards it needs to do the thing. It is 100% up to who draws the right cards. It can be fun, but after a while becomes very frustrating. Especially when you draw mana for 5 turns in a row c:
It's not bad. I really like the puzzles. My main issue is the UI and descriptions. The UI is really bad when you're trying to read cards descriptions. You have to hold the card with your finger in the way of the screen, and if you let go the bigger image dissappears. My other problem is that the descriptions are broken english. The game isn't explained well at all. For example, cards say "on each turn ...", yet what it really means is "on YOUR turn ...". LOTS of cards don't do what they say.
Seems cool. I like it and I'll come back to it and play more. I got soft locked in the tutorial ("Block with your bouncer." When opponent had no creatures), so that was a bit annoying but it seems like a pretty cool card game. Audio is a little bit unpolished feeling sometimes but it's not bad at all. I like the graphics and everything.
I think the game is amazing. One of the best ccg out there. Only problem is I think it must be a direct port from PC to mobile because the controls are horrible. Can't even really read the cards when you hover over them because your thumb is in the way. Just a poor mobile design. Other then that it's great. I recommend playing on PC though.
Not perfect though closest thing to mtg. Art is very cool too which is a plus. Again closest to mtg quality. Sadly it is p2w pretty much. But if you find people close to your tier might be better. UI is very badly designed, especially combat. You have to zoom in and out constantly. Cards are drawn really small. Very grindy but considering how expensive mtg is this game is very cheap. Animation speed should be optional. Cards animations are too simple. Wish there was an auto end turn option.
Tutorial is longer than it needs to be, but it's cleverly done and they let you skip it at least. Gameplay is easy to understand but there's enough nuance to keep strategies interesting. There's pre-built theme decks for more casual players and robust deck building for those that want it. Earning packs and new cards comes quickly just by playing the game and I've never felt pressured to have to spend money to stay competitive.
This is the best digital card game right now. The gameplay is balanced, the interface is smooth and the company supports balance changes incredibly regularly. As someone who has played every major card game to come out in the past decade or so, this is one of the finest ever made and it is definitely worth investing in. One Year Later: Still the best digital card game and it keeps getting better.
This is one of the few free to play games I've put money into simply because it's supporting a damn good game. Deck options are fantastic, and the myriad of combos you can pull off are an insane amount of fun. If you enjoy strategic play along the lines of magic, this is a much better alternative in my opinion. Edit: 2020) I can't stress show fun this game is, especially if you like creative deck builders. The team behind the game really goes all out in keeping the game fresh and enjoyable.
The game is great could be better, seems the devs encourage the "stalling" tactic of the game. Never had I played a card game online that takes 30 mins to finish. Everyone is doing it and it takes away from the true pleasure of a card players pace . Needs to be changed badly. No one wants to watch paint dry. Get rid of the stall tactic and you've got a 5* game
I loved this game and played it every day, but then it got bigger and bigger. Now I have had to get rid of it because it will not fit on my device anymore.
Whenever I run across an app offered in GOOGLE'S Play Stores, and yet do not properly fit the Pixel screens, I immediately rate with one star and then delete the app. This is inexcusable. Pixel phones should be the number one priority for any app offered in the Play Store.
Once upon a time this was my favorite CCG, now if you win too many games against the AI it will start to cheat by giving you the worst draws possible. It's no longer fun for me
If you are downloading this game to play against AI then don't. The AI cheats so bad that you can't even play a unit now.
The best digital ccg around. While it is not the most F2P it could be, and the mobile client is missing features the PC client has, the game has the best priority system of any digitial card game out there. Other CCGs deny you the ability to play cards on your opponent's turn, removing a key skill element and making games less dynamic. Others, however, make passing priority a chore that hurts the game flow. Eternal gets it right. It's like MTG but without the paper game holding it back.
