Manage your booking easily! Select between one way or round trip, choose your origin and destination airport, flight date, search fares with money or miles option, select fare, provide personal detail, contact detail and select your preferred meal type, select your payment option and purchase your ticket, you can also have the option to pay with miles for Sheba Miles member, hold on reservation or pay at agent.
2. My Trips
Walk through your booking! You can see your past and upcoming trip summary, manage your trips, view itinerary and pricing detail, select your preferred seat, update your travel document information and contact detail, continue to payment for hold on reservations.
3. Check-in & Boarding
You can check-in by entering booking reference number, ticket number, or frequent flyer number, select the passengers for check-in, select seat for each of the passengers, provide, travel document information, residence address, destination address and emergency contact detail based on the rule of the country where you are flying to, you can also continue to check-in by selecting the booking you made from the trip summary that we locally save for you in your phone. We finally generate and display your boarding passes.
4. Flight Status
Select a destination of your choice and browse your flight status. You can search all Ethiopian flights by route or flight number and see the result for yesterday, today and tomorrow departure and arrival time, airport information and flight status.

Utterly dysfunctional. No online customer support. No email support. Phone calls get disconnected. If you do get through to an agent they just make you wait for 30+ minutes while you hear them typing their keyboard but they don't actually do anything, till the call gets disconnected. A flight I just booked was silently cancelled but the app still shows it. No email notification, no nothing. I've been trying to reuse an open ticket that wasn't used due to Covid for 3 different times already (!), every time I end up buying a new ticket since it's just impossible to reuse it. Twice I ran out of seats on flights due to support delays. Avoid this company!
Will never use Ethiopian airlines again unless I got no choice. I was told told I couldn't get a refund directly because I "paid in cash" which I didn't. I paid with bank transfer and the agent basically ended the chat without solving my problem. Unprofessional.
Crappiest app I be ever used in both play store and apple store. First this app doesn't even recognize your credentials after login in for the first time. The app well sussgest you tu buy miles that are non-refundable by the way and then doesn't not let you do anything with the miles. Customer service is also not the best one the person on the phone pretty much tells you that you cannot get refund for your purchased miles and also cannot use it. I won't even bother with the whole Sheba Miles
I booked my ticket 3 weeks before travelling. When l arrived for check in today 3 hours before my flight they told me its fully booked and there is nothing we can do. I asked for a refund they said its not possible and their excuse was we are sapos to check in 6hrs before the flight and it was fully booked.. I had to reschedule and book for the next day paying extra charges. The staff is very rude... I will never recommend or use Ethiopian Airways again!!!!!
I am writing this to express my disappointment with the way you handled my request to upgrade my flight, It was really funny to take my miles without upgrading my flight & force me to accept economy class without any help from your side to solve this case or at least upgrade my flight while you're fixing the issue from your side. This is completely unacceptable, I cannot trust your system anymore, you have a very poor App & we cannot feel safe while we are booking using our Credit cards.
I have been using the app for almost a year now and to date, I still haven't found the option to change the currency preference. It gave us the most inconvenience when we booked a flight and wanted to pay but the currency was automatically set to the departing country's currency. When I booked a connecting flight from Sin to Gru I had to pay in SGD! It was very inconvenient! Except for that, the app is ok.
Kindly please create an option to book for other persons while signed in to my account in the app. Yesterday, i was unable to book for another person. I did it inconveniently by signing out of my account and book as a guest. I think this could easily be fixed by adding a filtering question whether the booking is for the account holder or another person. Depending on the answer, the app displays the required info! From the programming point of view, easy! Hope to see this get fixed soon, thanks

Can we have a visa requirement options at check-in that can be verified by a number rather than the error message that we getting when we try the online check-in
Great app. However, 'Multi-city' option is not well functioning after last update. It consistently pops up 'update the app to use this service' While I'm using the latest one Please fix this issue. Even this time confirmed reservation under 'My Trip' option are no longer active. They simply pop up last name error message. Please fix this. With each update the app is getting a bit worse.
Very easy to use and has many features an airline app should have. Enjoyed the small discount i received while booking via the app. I'm sure there are some UX issues that can be improved (see the easyJet app) but I'd say it's a big step up and progress in the right direction.
First 2 big issues: first the app stole my miles while trying to upgrade my trip, took zwice the amount of miles and I got no upgrade. Then i tried to book a flight, I got until the end of the booking, paid, got confirmation of payment then received the error message "session expired. The money was gone though. At the end, i discovered that the booking did go through. I received an email after 15 minutes. Very nerve racking. Very disappointed.
This app is one of the best airline apps in terms of ease of use and functionality. Ive noticed that there's about 8 to 10% discounted price using this app compared to the one displayed on the website, which is very good. Sometimes have difficulty connecting to server. Please get it to run smoothly almost always. Thank you Ethiopian Airlines for making Africans proud!
The flight was good, but we have a missing suitcase. Its almost a week, hence the the poor rating
This app won't allow me to check in online it says the window for check in isn't open yet and that isn't true. Such an inconvenience
Only airline app I can see fare increasing on daily basis. ET airlines does not give student discount. I've been waiting to use them,but I can't due to increasing fare. Give priority to students so they don't missed out. All students irrespective of country they're traveling are required to pay one way ticket and discounted with their visa/student status.
Reliable and friendly customer service
The ET app for Android keep on changing the selected booking date upon confirmation. When reported and informed the supervisor, he verified and admited the issue but cannot even correct the flight to the right date. Ethiopian Airline doesn't allow you to correct flight within a second after you click book. We use their app to save them time, resource, and overhead; the airlines is way behind on working with customers compared to other big airlines. I wouldn't advise for you guys to use the app.
This app is easy to use and every thing user friendly
DO NOT USE THIS APP! It resents in incorrect bookings. Do not one this to check in... You will have errors in booking your seats. It dosnt matter which seats you select, because this app will place you where it wants you not where you want to sit. It splits up family members and place them away from each other on the plane. And no-one answers the phone numbers listed in app for Ethiopian Airlines, the worst experience ever...
Appreciation I had a very good service and experience while I was traveling to canada. Including cabinet crews and pilots are very hero and hard-working. You all go above beyond. Thank you The service that needs change is checking in and weighting luggage, those teams have to speed up and get fully trained how to smoothly maintain the better services for travelers. Due to their lack of experience; travelers frustrated to wait too long. Thank to incredible and brave pilots
After the recent update, the app doesn't work all the way through. The problem im having is, after seat selection the page stops working and error message keeps popping up. Didnt have this problem on the previous version. please do fix this ! Thanks
User friendly and top class application. No other global airline has such an app or user centered experience for booking and managing flights from an app. Well done! Only improvement could be the VoIP call to global call center van be connected with the profile so that operator receives all information of the passenger and upcoming travel to make it more quick and efficient process. Otherwise an excellent app.
I could not login into the app with my profile details even after updating my password as requested. Essentially the App is unusable without me being able logging-in thus the 1 star review. Will update the rating once the issue is fixed. EDIT: Two years later and the app appears to be working much better.
This is a very significant app for me. The reason I gave it 3 is cos, many of the functions are not working properly. 1.Dash-8 seat reservation ain't work, check others too. 2. The sheba mile, mile claim It asks a reservation number and last name but it ain't work further. 3. On checking status of flight or claiming miles I don't see the importance of asking departure & arrival(date and place). If you get Tick# or flight # the system should figure the rest. It is Very annoying make it simple.
Mostly helpful app. You should update your Airport list though. You still have TXL airport in your list for Berlin, but that airport has been closed and replaced by BER airport since a while. Therefore I cannot book flights to BER on this app (which can be booked through the ET website). Thank you.
This app is a piece of garbage! For an airline that is supposed to be the best in Africa, it's a huge disappointment. Everything you try to do on the app comes back with an error message. Customer service is not in the vocabulary of Ethiopian Airlines, good luck getting the phone answered! Never buy a ticket direct from Ethiopian Airlines, I use American Express Travels with an American Express card. If something goes out of line, I know I will get my money back in a timely fashion.
