eTokenBCR
The BCR eToken offers you mobility, security and an intuitive interface.
The application generates unique codes that enable your identification as a Click and Alo 24 Banking user and a quick and safe authorization of the transactions, using these services.
You can choose eToken in any BCR branch. In order to use eToken BCR application, you need to download and install it on your mobile phone. For security reasons eTokenBCR application can not be executed on devices where the Superuser level protection was removed (jailbroken or rooted phones).
The next step is the activation, process in which you need the following personal data received from BCR:• Token series• Authorization code• Activation code
The application requires Android OS 2.2 or later.

This app barely works. And I've been trying to buy stuff with steam, but now it keeps asking me to confirm, but it doesn't work. Whenever it asked me to use my fingerprint, it didn't work. Whenever it asked me to add my password, it didn't work. Had to go out of my way to do fix it, but I'm atleast happy that it gives other options than to only confirm with this broken app.
Doesn't even download. Before the update it worked very well. Now I can't use it, when I need it the most, because it doesn't download. I deleted almost everything on my phone, restarted. Called the call center and the nice lady told me to buy another phone. Nice!
I can.t use it anymore with android 5.0, galaxy note 3. It crashes inediatly I write the login pass Really bad app for a paid banking service.
It doesn't even allowes me to activate it despite the fact that all the data I enter are correct
Very bad. Already few days I can't make working. I uninstalled and installed, registered successfully but when I want to make transaction from George is saying to register because it was not registered. Very frustrating.
App is not working as it should. I can't log in onto it and I can't use it to log in into the George app either. I'm abroad and it's frustrating since I am dependant on online banking. It's lousy to have such problems in 2021.
Imagine if you couldn't log in on Windows just because you have administrator privileges on you own personal account. It's not like you even have an alternative, because they completely eliminated the physical tokens, even if you are willing to pay for one. What even is the problem with rooted users?
awful, the codes provided don't work. I called 3 times the bank today and the i.t. lady was so rude insinuating that I type in the wrong codes and that they're app is working. rubbish bank
Not reliable at all, it crashes randomly. You can try untill it works, but overall, it is a really bad app.
I cannot rank this app higher because all the messages sent through it are lost. I even encountered a strange situation , I've received a message where the PAD will be automated renew and the money will be drawn from one of my accounts if I don't send one, and guess what I received a call from some impatient lady from the BCR Bank telling me that if I don't have a new PAD it is mandatory to go to the bank, and she kinda insist on this even if I told her why can we resolve this online ....
The app refuses to start, because it says that my phone is rooted. According to RootChecker, my phone is NOT rooted. I tried running an app which does require root, and it also said I do not have root.
If your device it's not rooted but the app says it is, check if you have developer options activated. If so, deactivate developer options, restart your phone and try again. It might work.
Because of this app, I cannot pay for anything using my Visa card since I am outside Romania and cannot receive the eToken "confirmation code" via SMS (SIM card does not function). Thanks!!! :)
I have this same problem of "device is rooted" and I have contacted the developer with the error code for more than a week now but no reply. It's frustrating!
Crashes when taking picture, unable to create an account, not even the browser works to open a new account... i don't know what else i was expecting from BCR
The app keeps blocking itself forever. From the last upgrade it is a complete mess!!!
awful experience, asked me to install 3 different apps just for a simple login to check my bank account from George-what kind of name is that?! to etoken and so on. all 3 are now uninstalled and i will make sure to change my bank into the future.
Cannot receive an activation code. This is my 3rd installation of the app and is not working at all.

Why block the functionality on rooted devices? I can make transactions on a Mac/PC with root/administrator access. What's different on Android? (rhetorical question)

It says that this app don't work on rooted devices and my phone it's not rooted, FIX THIS.
Can't even activate over the phone because their internal software is not working.
Very good app. I had no problems with it, always works flawlessly.
The last update does not work. I'm in quarantined and I can't use a basic internet banking service. Also no one answers when I try to contact the call center!!!! I need acces to the internet banking and I can t even buy food because this application is completely useful. The new update requires a new password which I do not have! Absolutely mediocre service!
