Very pleased with the app, the services and the eufy products in general. I would like to make a suggestion regarding the app however - if you could decrease the portrait/landscape sensitivity. Every slight movement makes my phone flip between landscape and portrait mode.

Lets start with good it was great until 14/02/22 update ruined it. *The two step verification finally got fixed it guess. *Fixed the speaker holding button now you just press the speak button and you don't need to keep holding it. *I can share my cameras with others in household. The bad. Each notifications come very slow with quite a few minute delay not related to phone or network issues already checked. It didn't happen before the stated date it was almost instantly not anymore.

No matter how many times I set my "zone", (and it keeps getting smaller) my doorbell notification keeps going off with every car that passes. Every 30 seconds! It wasn't like this to start with but honestly, I can't have the sound on on my phone because it's doing my head in and if I turn off notifications, it defeats the purpose of having the system. My zone is now set at a sqm, right at my front door but still! IT WON'T STOP!!! 4x while writing this review!

Geofencing is hopelessly inaccurate as it doesn't work well with GPS. My heating app seems to work fine, so it's not an issue with my hardware (also used on multiple phones). It's also really battery hungry and my system regularly closes the app because my system has detected that it is using too much battery. Edit: Reduced to 1 star as my phone keeps complaining that it's using too much power and prompts to close it.

Firstly I need to say that I used to love the experience with Eufy Security and the brand as a whole. They have really great products! With this app, everything worked really well and I had very little issues for many months. Unfortunately, since the last update of the app, it's been a nightmare. My doorbell only works some hours of the day and is constantly offline (at least 85% of the time). My cameras turn off for no reason and even when I reset the home base nothing changes. I have the same network, router and the only change was the update of the app. Also, the performance of the new one is worse, icons have less contrast and its much harder to find them. Basically, everything that was working fine for me, now demand more time or doesn't work. The system is completely unreliable now. We need an update to solve these urgent issues as soon as possible. And my suggestion is to have a much longer beta test for any major update like this last one. It's a security system and an intermittent service can bring significant risks for the users.

This is a review for the App not the device. Intrusive ads on the main screen that move when you go to click the little x causing you to open up a web page where they offer you a discount on buying another $100+ camera. Companies that do this should go belly up. With that out of the way, the camera quality is pretty decent, wish there was more options for things you're able to do with it(ie pan left, right, up, down, turn on a light, something..anything..)also needs more than 3 quick responses.

The video in the doorbell no longer works. I've got the eufy deadbolt, doorbell, and sensors on every door and window. It's been great. Until the last 2 updates. Everything else works, but the video in the doorbell doesn't work. It records, I can see thumbnails of activity. But I can't play them. Or the live feed. I've rebooted my phone, the home base, my wifi - nothing helps. Waiting for an update to fix this mess.

Much improved since my original review below. Highly recommended. Love the doorbell and its features, much better than the main competition. However the app fails to give notifications when the phone is idle and only gives notifications the next time the phone is woken up which can be several hours later. This is no good and needs to be fixed, this was never a problem when I had a doorbell from the main competitor. This is my only gripe with this otherwise excellent product.

Please stop with all the ads! The app itself is pretty good and checking my camera feeds has always worked flawlessly. The ads though drive me insane. Every time I open the app there is a new bouncing present box trying to get me to click it. Or the referral thing trying to get me to sign up. Now there is a pop-up ad that you have to carefully press the tiny x to get it to go away. Please please clean up the ads or at least give me the option to turn them off. I can't recommend this app.

Seems to get worse and worse with each update. Cameras aren't picking up people standing directly in front of the camera, but will go off every time a cloud passes overhead and changes the lighting slightly. Doorbell doesn't pick up any motion at all but mistakes my neighbors basketball hoop as a person 859 times a day, even though it's in a designated non-detect zone. The new blackout zones dont stay where you assign them. Cams record for 6 seconds, even if set to record all motion.

It's been over 9 months since I started noticing extreme battery drain by the Eufy app on my Android devices. Nothing has been fixed and the persistent issues with notifications being delayed or not even sent when there's an event. Also why is there still no dark mode on the app like on Apple devices? This is so unacceptable. The hardware has been working flawlessly, but the app/software side needs much improvement. It used to be so much more reliable.

Recent update seems to have regressed this app. It was always a little slow to react, but is now missing things and very unreliable. Have to keep restarting the home base unit to see a live feed. The app is also now very confusing to navigate. Very disappointing. A quick update. Had to delete the app from one phone as draining battery. Camera now out of warranty and after last period of heavy rain, it was Impossible to view any images. The lens had fogged up.

Since the update I have had a lot of problems downloading recorded events, the app is very slow to load, the app freezes, shutdown, the live view is not actually live, the clock will freeze for 3 to 6 seconds at a time jump ahead and then freeze again. Whatever you have done you have made the app almost useless to me which means I have six cameras that I cannot use. And I have to agree with all the other recent reviews the battery life it's horrible

The Eufy touch with wifi smart lock has solid construction, works smoothly and easily and looks great in nickle. I had a pro install mine since there needed to be adjustments on the door, but even the pro commented on how easy it was to set up and how it went together perfectly in the door. Conecting to wifi was easy. The finger print reader was a little tricky to set up and took several reads of my thumb, but it wasn't long before my print was stored in its memory. I love the Eufy smart lock.

This app was okay before, but the current updates are trash! long start-up, & If I get notifications, they come around 10 minutes after the event. Before the update the notifications were within 2-10 seconds. Also, it often says cannot connect right here in my home 30 feet from the home base. Same Eufy 2 Cameras (x3) & Wired Battery Doorbell. Hasn't shown video through data since day 1, even though I get Notifications. I don't keep the app running, never had to. Review from 2020 (4 Stars)

There are a few issues with this app that the Devs really should address. 1. 24 notification limit on Android. After that all notifications stop until you clear them. I researched this thinking it was an issue with my phone however it turns out that each app much be configured to go above this limit. 2. Eufy Floodlight Cam cannot be set from the keypad. This is really basic functionality but is missing. Defeats the point in having it. 3. Geospatial and scheduling don't work together.

For an app active for 5 minutes and only in the background 50 minutes, it sure uses a lot of battery, 48% for the day. I will be replacing all my cameras and doorbell in the near future, Eufy Security has been a horrible experience. Cameras are unreliable, doorbell doesn't work sometimes. Save your money, do some research and don't choose Eufy Security.

Good resolution but the problem is their Application. Its not easy to connect or view the camera in apps and Most of the time will show (unable to connect to camera (-3). It's not accessible and you have to wait several attempts to connect or view the camera. WiFi connection is checked also but the same thing will happen.

The app constantly goes to sleep which causes the notifications stop. I've tried all trouble shooting recommends, setup the app so it will not fall asleep and run constantly. Yet, the app still ceases all notifications. Eufy trouble shooting guide as of the date of this post, is out of date with Android. Customer service is useless and says it's my phone. Meanwhile, it's the only app I'm experiencing this issue. I've walked Eufy support through this with multiple emails and they can't help.

I have the Eufy Dual camera door bell and it has a wired power supply. I can see in the app that the battery is charging and what is the current charge level. The app is installed on a Samsung Tab A6 witch is mounted on landscape mod on my wall. First problem is that even with the tablet in landscape mode and not in auto rotation, the Eufy app starts in Portrait mode. Why, Eufy, why??? The second problem is that sometimes I want to have the live video feed displayed for longer on the tablet. This is to check on my kids when they are playing outside or when I am expecting someone to show up and I want to greet them before they ring the bell. But the app will give me a reminder prompt that in this mode the battery will drain faster ( how, if it is permanently powered?) and it gives me an option to Continue the live video or it will cancel automatically after some seconds. Again, why? The door bell has infinite battery

Great device, although inaccurate & currently inaccessible... I stand by my purchase of this device - far better than Ring. But after 2 years of ownership, it's now started to only pick up people walking away - not walking up. I had a dispute with USPS that turned out to be a misunderstanding for the driver, but I couldn't tell bc it didn't record them AT the door...if I turn up sensitivity, it gets every passing car...Oh. And app stopped working on my Android a month ago.... EDIT: Improved!
