Eurosport

Updating my review, but still to give only two stars. Widget had become trouble-free over the latest v5.x versions, but since v7.x no way to bring an article up in the app from the widget ("une erreur est survenue" / "an error has occured"). The fact that my phone is set to the English language but Eurosport set to country = France might be the cause. But such a configuration SHOULD work (it did work in v5.x). The new v7 has some nice improvements, but it is really broken for me. Rolled back to v5.52. Still work to do, folks.

Discovery+ allows playback of past events. "Relive the biggest HIGHLIGHTS whenever you want" I found it really hard to understand and find that statement, above, Eurosport is for live streaming of whole events only. It is not an on-demand service. I looked at Tennis and F1. Well wasted one subscription to confirm that. On Lenovo P11 4MB Discovery+ stutters on tennis. Cast ok. Eurosport+ Cannot play from App live button does nothing. Chrome works but cannot cast. Back to Discovery+, wow.

Ads, ads everywhere. I pay the subscription. Still ads. I wouldn't mind the occasional ad in the stream, but when the first thing I see is an ad after clicking a headline to read the story, that's too much. Then scroll down to read more and there's more ads.

Overview section still good enough but results section is worst than ever: on top of the issues reported (UI, pages empty of content, sync issues, ...) now the section does not list any information at all about some activities it used to report about (friendlies, some leagues, ...). Overview section rating: 7/10 Results section rating: 1/10

Where exactly "all sports" are hum? Only seeing just a few - like this app would see its starting year 2000 ,not 2022 -wanted to check on darts news and add some favs but this app lacks in every department.🤦‍♂️🤔😒🙄 -will change review once I see modern and innovative improvements

Terrible experience. I cannot watch live broadcasts, when I have the subscription - I do not even have such option. Ux also is terrible to navigate. It's better to use website with all the features rather than this low quality app. Also it's pretty funny that I see ads even with a subscription... Cringe 😬

A very analytical and sports filled app.... takes good care of all sports but should try to reduce the amount of space given to American football to go in line with others and include CHESS in its coverage.

Very bad services .Paid subscription on the Romanian website with a google account located in Spain and now I'm supposed to watch it in Spanish .The help center said I need to wait for this subscription to end if I want to change it in Romanian.I don't understant the relevance of the google account with which I pay a Romanian subscription.If my google account was located in Botswana I should be watching Eurosport in Botswanese?!Absurd

Is this really a replacement of Eurosport Player? Eurosport Player at least somehow works on Android TV, this app is not available there at all.

Can't play any videos because it is not available in my country/region. Please make it available in india so that i can change this review to 5 stars. Thankyou

Not one single improvement. New format is blocky, dark, huge fonts, too much black - looks like a 90s website. The advertising has become the focal point, it's everywhere, and really big. The browsing experience is ruined, when you leave an article it takes you back to the top of the page, not to the articles you were on making you scroll endlessly l. Shocking. Just bring back the old version and learn that if it's not broken, don't fix it!

Unable to read items since latest update. When selecting a news item it takes me to show an ad. The ad does not play and message says " video cannot be streamed in your country" As a result I am not able able to access any content. Clicking on a different news item, similar thing happens. Have uninstalled and started afresh. Will use it during the next few days and work out whether the app is working as it should.

The app looks alright but some little things make it very annoying to use. For instance, everytime you read an article and go back to the home page, you go back to the top of the feed instead of where you were previously. Same thing for checking live results. It makes the user experience very frustrating. The new version crashes less which is a plus.

This app drove me crazy. you can't really set your preferences so I kept on getting notifications for sports I had no interest in, for example I have been receiving over 10 notifications about cycling per day and I have no way of turning it off. And then most of the time you have to watch a video to find out the news which is pretty inconvenient. All in all really bad experience.

This used to be fantastic ... and then they updated it! About 8 years ago when I first downloaded it, it was simple, intuitive, and you could easily find everything you wanted. About 4 or 5 years ago, they redesigned it and made it worse, but it was still very usable, albeit very difficult to find the articles you wanted to read. Now, they have redesigned it yet again, and they have made it almost unusable. I will be keeping it for the alerts, but I am looking for an another sport app.

good but could be a bit better organized. To be more specific: on the main page there is a tab called "Results" which only show live scores, no Standings though. If you want to check the Premier League standings, you have to click on Sports > Football > Premier League > Results (another "Results", confusing) > Standings. This is quite tedious for something that is crucial information and should be more easily accessible.

I rely on Eurosport for keeping me informed and have been happy with the app over many years. The latest redesign is not necessarily an improvement, at least in my opinion. While possibly a design trend, I don't know how the white writing on black background is better than the other way around. Most annoying is the fact in the results tab the app always returns to the top of all results after one checks the details of a soccer game or bike race, etc. That was not an issue until the latest update.

I downloaded this app to go with the Eurosports Player but I've found it to be much better to use. I would prefer to set the Watch page as the Home Page though and you should put the Our Channels at the top of the list not down at the very bottom and it would also be nice if you could set a reminder next to upcoming sports on the schedule list. There are too many screens to go through to get the sports results I want but otherwise it's a useful app to have.

Anyone trying to use with Chromecast my experience is that if you have a first generation chromecast you may experience problems, for me it was unwatchable and had to buy a third gen chromecast to resolve the problems. I will add that my older chromecast works on all other streaming services faultlessly just Eurosport streams that didn't . Hope this helps others.

Well the good news is they provide coverage of the snooker tournaments I want to watch. it's just a pity that that coverage does not run to having a commentary and, weirdly, the Eurosport app is the only one on my home wi-fi that frequently "buffers", especially in the evening, making it too frustrating to watch then. I can watch other online content (YouTube, iPlayer, Netflix, Prime, etc) no prob but Eurosport is plagued by constant stopping and stuttering. Come on Eurosport, at least respond.

I couldn't fit all the text I've written about this app. So a short version would be that I'm using it on my Android Sony TVs, 55" 2017 and 43" 2020, and it has poor picture quality (close to S-VHS) , studders often, freezes and very unintuitive. I bought a subscription for the Olympics and the picture quality is just sad. I use my satellite dish for most of the programs and stream for more nished sport. It's not even compatible with my 43" remote, so I need to use remote from the 55". Cancel.

The app keeps crashing and showing a note of "sorry there is no content available". I've deleted and downloaded the app again which allows for news to show for a day and then the same message again. This is highly frustrating and takes away from a good app. Reply: I have downloaded the eurosport app and the app is not working correctly is what I'm saying. Is there a way to fix the app???

Not working for 2 days now, is there some kind of problem? I like the app when it's working.

Since the last update, I have noticed that every link to twitter has become ridiculously sensitive, especially in the live sections. If I try to scroll past one, it automatically opens twitter, which I don't use. A great deal of both the reporting and live score commentary is also basically linking to twitter. I get that you probably have some partnership with them, but I don't really see why it should replace sporting journalism. Really disappointing.

Besides the really annoying issues - already reported - with live feeds (matches, transfers,...) and the twitter feeds embedded and how they keep reloading and the alerts not working, why would you make the information about the match (minutes) in an unreadable colour (grey) against the background you have chosen for your UI (black)? Several pages in the results option with no data whatsoever and other issues. Slowly the app is getting worse and worse.

I really don't like the last update with black background of the feed. It's very unfriendly and it's hard to see the news not featured through a picture. If you read the comments, you haven't "improved" anything like you claim. If you really take people's feedback, you ll at least take this black background away

This app has important issues. First of all, live player should start in landscape mode by default. No one watches any live stream on portrait mode. Secondly, a huge problem, is that the video brightness is very low and you can't get it to appear brighter even if you adjust the slider from Android system. Needs to be fixed A.S.A.P. EDIT: Brightness issue is fixed but landscape mode is still not implemented. I'm sure you think user should enable auto rotation but that is tedious and unnecessary.
