Booking works again after an update. App is good in general - would be nice if flights booked within the account appear automatically, now they have to be added manually through booking code. Unfortunately return trip boardingpasses of a partially used booking issued before the update seem to get deleted after the update, so be careful. Very annoying when on the airport. I had to add the booking back manually and get it resyncing, which may take several attempts.
A recent change means all future bookings have been deleted from the app. The can be reinstated one by one manually, but this is very clunky.
in the app it's not possible to find and book routes of Eurowings Discover. While on the website it works.
The app it's quite intuitive and easy to use. Booking a flight is straightforward, although I don't fancy the feature of automatically blocking the airport search while looking for the nearest airport. I would prefer to make this non-blocking, as I usually know the airport code and don't like waiting... Also, the separation between actual and expired boarding passes could be made clearer, and a feature for deleting multiple expired boarding passes would really help. I'd give it 4.5 stars.
Truly awful. We can't book seats together. None of the payment methods work (PayPal wasn't available). No error message, just dumped back onto the search page. App looks like it was designed by a 5 year old and behaves like one too. Strange navigation choices. Maybe test it with real people rather than let the devs do what they think is right.
Website tells me to fill in myhealth docs in app or website. It doesn't exist on the website so I have to download this app. And this app doesn't have myhealth either.
Very annoying app. For each booking you need to add miles and more number although it is saved under user details. Sometimes they change your booking to different destination and then if you go for reboking it offers only new destination?!! Cancelled flights for which I got voucher visible in upcoming flights as if they are still valid?!! On the home page closed bookings shown despite the fact they do not exist! Worst app ever
Having spent the last month of frustration, uninstalling app after app to find the culprit, I finally found that this is the one which causes a persistent alarm using the API which is set way in advance and deep in the settings. I will not be installing the app again for this reason, and I urge the developers to change this method of notification. Otherwise, it would get a much better review.
Why are there features on the app that just plainly do not work? Want to get a boarding pass so you don't have to be in line with one open counter for Eurowings? Good luck uploading your documents, tried it 20 times today already, always failed. Uploading files is not that crazy complicated.
New to eurowings and so far not that impressed. It seems the PayPal integration is broken. I ended up paying directly by credit card and that itself was very clunky. For example why ask for the card type when this can be deduced from the credit card number. Update: Two out of my four flights cancelled due to COVID-19. Followed refund link in the emails. Website said to allow 7 days. Still no refund 6 weeks on. Have contacted customer service - no reply apart from the automated responses!
Lots of errors on website. Can't pay with certain debit cards, nor PayPal (unauthorised request from...). Bad error messages. Login does not work. App has similar issues, the worst is that the most important buttons don't work anymore. Update: Now I can't even log into the app anymore because no button would trigger. This is on a 4.6" screen. You should test on small Android devices as well!
Confusing. Not easily and schematically laid out. Confirmation in German but my language and the app's is English. At least I've got the right boarding pass, unlike the one provided on the website which is incomplete unless you forward yourself an email which contains a boardkarte which is in German and the pass itself with the proper square QR code.
I really like Eurowings, but recently their check-in system is messed up. I was unable to check in for 2 flights already, the customer service could not help me fix the issue. It just doesn't let me log-in into my account and do things. A real shame. I hope someone more capable could reply to this. That would be cool...
Non operational like all IT offered by the Lufthansa group. Colorful with lots of ads and "tips" but basic functionality does not even remotely work. Check in? Not now. You have wrong seats. Non luggage. Luggage gone. Please learn from the worst low carriers out there - they are still aeons ahead of you guys.
the boarding pass fail to scan. somehow the app generated an invalidad boarding pass. No support for google pay ( to store the boarding lass ) and worse, setup a random alarm for Tuesday ( my flight was on the previous Sunday) at 10am and took me hours to find out where the alarm was coming from. don't recommend. NEVER SET ALARMS WITHOUT USER PERMISSIONS. IS A BASIC RULE THAT YOU'RE BREAKING.
Please remove alarm Api, for reminders. Terrible solution. I just searched for one hour for an allarm, which was secretly enabled by the eurowings app.. Allarm was scheduled for 2024.... Get it together guys. Update : since last update app isn't working anymore. Lags every two screens.!!! FIX IT. Update: after reinstalling the app lag is gone. STILL: Please stop setting secretly alarms for the future. Or can somebody tell me how to deactivate this "feature"?
There is no zero stars to rate this. First time flying with EW and the last one! Nothing is working in app. You can't do even a checkin. Every single operation in app is failure. Customer support do not exists: no email responses, no answering on calls after 30 min of waiting (working time, middle of week).
App doesn't let you generate your own boarding pass anymore. Verification of Covid documents just never worked, so had to queue 1+ hour at airport checkin (amazing in times of Covid!). If you cannot handle digitalization of processes, just let it be. Had better experience with Ryanair.
The experience is still somewhat clunky, however it is better than anything I have used with eurowings before. the credit card scan did not work and I found the information about the various offers confusing, however it is still way better than it used to be
My friend was denied boarding the flight without any reason from Italy to Cologne and it's been more than 8weeks we are trying to get in touch with you for the refund. No one's answering the calls, no one's replying to mails and complaints, totally unprofessional treatment. We have our money stuck with you for like two months straight now and we're clueless about how to contact you.
Five stars for the airline, four for the app. What bothers me with the app is, whenever I go back to enter the booking data it forgets all I have entered be for which is a bit cumbersome when I only want to eg change the departure airport.
Its good but sometimes the information provided is not too specific. Like when I check in 5 times and Im still for some reason not chcecked in. Or the departure airport is not shown in case there is more in that city. I like it though, hope you guys make it piffy! :)
Totally useless. Randomly switches language, when you try to check-in it wants to charge you an extra €1 for no reason (customer support confirm booking OK). Seems totally pointless.
Unfortunately I can't change the language in the app, it uses the default andriod language only. Please make it changable in the app! this has cost me 77 euro rebooking fee, as I was mix up am and pm time which comes with english! So I got 6.45am instead of 6.50pm all times in 24h format would be safer for everyone, thanks. In the Lufthansa app I can change the language in settings, but flight times are always in 24h format. The Swiss App also always is in 24h format. Please change or refund
Bug report: has an alarm bug that makes the alarm icon show constantly. I force closed the app and the alarm icon in the notification bar finally went away after days of bugging me.
App doesn't upload documents and fails at what it's designed to do: providing my boarding pass!
The app is generally quite nice. But it almost gave me a cardiovascular event when it deleted my booking and boarding pass just before I wanted to to enter security. Nowhere to be found. By chance I happened to be just in time for check in at a counter finally using a paper boarding pass. Seriously, this is unforgivable. I really would have missed my flight. @EuroWings: Happy to share more details with you if asked.
