This application requests you too enter your email address and personal data in order to do display a map of charging points. I understand it is required for advanced features, but do not download unless you are ready to send them your email
I don't have a card but I wanted to see if the route planner worked on this app 1st so followed the recommendation to install shell recharge (assuming it's identical). Going by that app I won't waste my time and get the card
Apparently the app has been updated automatically, i can login, but need to add my card in again, which is not possible because it is already registered, i have a new motion card. Previous this happened before, also after an update, but then it passes through at some point..
Scan connector ID and Enter connector ID not working. I get a message saying Something went wrong. Please contact the support number mentioned on the chargepoint. But there is no support number on the charge point. I have managed to register the charge point on the web site, but I wanted to use the app.
In the past the app allowed you to search charging stations, but now this only works if you register a charging card. This is something that is not always preferable. I don't always want to share everything or every detail of my charging card. Please allow just searching also without a card.
Apparently this app can only be used with NewMotion charging passes now. You have to register and have to enter a charging pass. Mine is not accepted, so the app doesn't let me see the map even though I have an account.
Really really bad... I registered my chargecard onto my account. After an update, my account somehow lost the connection to my card. Now i can't login, because i need to register a card. I can't use my own card, because it says its already registered. And i cant continue because it needs a card.. Edit after response: Nope. I get the same message in another app. 'Card already registered'. So apparently, every time they update the app, I need to buy a new card.
I get to see where there are available re-charging points. I wish there can be places where 2 bays can access one point and the EVSE will release the cable once one car is fully re-charged so the car at the next bay can re-charge in turn without having to wait for the other to come back.
ATTENTION ALL. You are all having trouble with this app, as Shell doesn't make it clear that this is the app for Business users only. After speaking with Shell, personal users, and to order a card, should be using the Shell recharge app. Clearly the developers and Shell doesn't care though, otherwise they would make it obvious in the app title, the google play page, or even on their own app's front page. Please mark this review as helpful so others can see.
App works and would give it 5 out of 5 if it had a button to easily copy the address of a charging point or to introduce a button to start navigating to it that will open the navigation app of the phone.
Can't even login. Keep stating email and password combination wrong but infact checked for so many times and reset password for several times as well.
Charging session not always shown. Therefore I can't see if the car is charging and cannot end the session via the app.
App downloaded, when started it says there is new version update, follow the link still send to the same app that was just downloaded !?!? Downloaded again just to see what happens. and still ask me to update !?!? Serious development issue..???.
No option to order card. When opening the app, I am automatically redirected to activating my card. Which I don't have.
I got the home charger as part of a Volvo purchase. So had to get the app as part of the deal but find it really easy to use and it's good to have when travelling.
Same as other users. App does nothing other that request that I activate my card. But I don't have a card for do I know how to get one. Truly terrible.
Can't start charging without physical card. Keeps wanting me to activate a card to start charging whit the app. This must be the worst app for EV charging.
The app simply refuses to accept my name and email. Can't charge my car! Not a lot of use. Waste of my time
Good app, however would be good to get driving directions in the app and not be diverted to google maps.
Activate charge card? Apparently not a credit card, but app lacks information about what to do. Completely.
I can't seem to create an account, it keeps saying my password is invalid. Resetting doesn't work either.
Horrible. Cant see charging station on map. Switch to Shell recharge. Still the same.

Getting worse !! UPDATE 19-09-21: I rename "NewMotion" app .... "OldMotion" app. WHY?? 1.Cannot start home charge! 2.Very unreliable, states "wait 10 secs" then freezes. 3.NewMotion won't accept AMEX.😡 4.App states: "I'm charging" - Website states: "I'm not charging". I'M NOT!🤣 OldMotion make owning an EV a horrible experience. In the UK, I strongly recommend using "Instavolt" as its charging network is far superior to Shell/OldMotion and actually works.☺️
